I want more Boba, just not the Boba we got in Book of Boba Fett. I want the old school badass Boba with an itchy trigger finger and a loose set of morals. I bet if someone made a petition to get Temura into the Mando movie, it'd get more signatures than Save The Acolyte.

Who knew that Temuera's scene as a discarded 501st trooper would be so foreshadowing of his treatment by Disney. 😔 Hopefully someone else liked his recent roles and gives him a place in a long standing TV series where he can attach a character to his name.

Yeah but it's an interesting story on it's own, and without all the stupid jedi space magic luke/ahsoka/grogu shit crammed in, it's fine as a standalone story. It doesn't crap all over the established lore or bring back palpatine from the dead or have princess leia fly through space. It's just a story of an old bounty hunter turned crime lord, and that's fine. So of course disney had to go and shit on it. Instead we get more gay lesbian interracial jedi space magic girl power bullshit.
Unlike LucasFilm, Morrison gives a damn about the character, the storytelling & the legacy everyone involved will leave behind. The amount of disdain I have for KK & her thugs, it can only get worse. Everything would be so much better with Favreau at the helm, along with Witwer & Morrison acting as serious consultants. They're genuinely passionate fans, which is something you don't see in entertainment anymore. Corpos ruin everything.

This is, in part, why my emotional side dislikes the Acolyte - a show that my rational side didn't watch and have no strong opinions for or against. Disney could have stuck with their guns with Boba and Kenobi. They could have given us season 2 of both, righting some wrongs, etc. Instead they gave us the Acolyte. A show that they cancelled anyway. Nobody won. Not the old fans, not the prospective new ones, not the actors, not the "modern audience".
Ehm, Star Wars is dead. It's solely used to push woke ideology now, either subtly or overtly. And why are these troopers going melee range? Don't they have guns?
We WANT Boba Fett, just not Book of Boba Fett as it was in season 1, if we could get a whole season of Boba as he was in mandalorian then that would be amazing
Temuera's enthusiasm for Boba and Jango is contagious. He loves playing them and we love him. I know The Book Of Boba Fett had its issues but Temuera was not one of them. I definitely think they should give it a Season 2 minus all the quirky weirdness and half a season of The Mandalorian. Just give us Boba Fett kicking ass like he did on Tython.
My favorite Star Wars actor since 2002. Love Boba, but Jango has been my favorite character for over 20 years. I’ve met Tem twice now, and he’s one of the nicest and most down to Earth people out there. Incredibly passionate about the Fetts and the franchise as well. It’s a shame how Disney/Lucasfilm is treating him and Boba’s character. The Mandalorian always should’ve been about Boba. It was originally supposed to be about him instead of Din. Boba finding Grogu, and forming a bond like what Jango and Boba had would’ve been so much better. Boba was in the dark for so long, and Grogu could’ve been the perfect solution to his character arc. Din is nothing but a recycled Fett, played by someone who wants nothing to do with the franchise now.
We're given high priced less than mediocre shows like the Acolyte instead of investing that money into beloved characters like Boba Fett, & Obi- Wan Kenobi. Give Tony Gilroy a shot at it!
Both those beloved characters got shows that were nothing more than embarrassing fan fiction. Acolyte is meanwhile still being talked about because it did new things that make nostalgioids upsetti.
It’s easy to convince yourself no one likes it when you never leave the echo chamber of people who actively hate it. Everyone I’ve talked to face to face enjoyed it. People with positive things to say rarely expend much time roaring on reddit about it.
He deserves better He’s been with his franchise since attack of the clones, and he was great as Boba Fett in the Mandalorian and the fact that Disney and Lucas film keeps disrespecting him is just a shame
I really hope they make Temura Morrison a producer for his projects moving forward. His understanding of the character should be listened to more during when decisions are being made. Similar to how making Tom Hiddleston a producer on Loki improved the direction of the show.
Disney frankly doesn’t deserve to work with Morrison. Morrison is a true gentleman and a passionate actor. Unlike other actors I know but won’t name here, he hasn’t attacked fans for how Boba was portrayed, he has agreed with fans and wants things to improve. I love Boba Fett, the BoBF did nothing to change that, only further make me hate Disney for how little they respect him and these legendary characters.
As a Kiwi its not surprising because Tem is easily one of the best actors our country has ever produced. He puts everything into his job and he's been playing Jango/Boba/Clone Troopers for nearly 30 years at this point.
Thats honestly just sad. He obviously loves Star Wars, and Boba Fett, yet they just refuse to let him play as that character. Let Boba go around and do morally ambiguous things, let him be a badass again, not this sad nice-guy monk. I really hope Disney forcefully nudges Lucasfilm out of the pit its been diving down since the Force Awakens, but knowing Kathleen Kennedy, this won't happen.
The utter lack of disrespect for an actor who has given his life to the role is just horrible… I have no words. He didn’t just play boba fett and jango fett, he has starred in numerous Star Wars video games as well.
I get he understands the role, and wishes he had more involvement,... but then again it's also bruh, any actor in a competitive sense wants to pursue a stable gig. Being a character from a disney enterprise is a decent paycheck that you don't have to change too much of your personal expenses once you've got it. Acting is a tough nut to crack as a job. My heart goes out to Mr. Morrison, but perhaps he should try to change things up and really tag into his Pacific Islander roots and do a few roles with Dwayne Johnson or more roles with Jason Momoa. Aquaman was a good film.
I don't think they're done with Temuera Morrison I mean he's got the face of EVERY clone. He could be captain Rex in ahsoka season 2 or a clone veteran/deserter in Andor season 2 and commander Cody. Any thing in live action with a clone.
I think the sad reality is that the suits see Boba as an obsolete character. When you get right down to it, his unique look is what made him a fan favorite, and now that there’s a whole roster of characters in universe with the same outfit, in the eyes of a marketing department he probably just seems like an afterthought. It essentially boils down to “We’ve already got The Mandalorian, why to we need Boba?” because in their eyes the helmet is what matters. On top of that, and this is hard to say, but Morrison isn’t getting any younger, and there’s probably less incentive to want to market a lead who should technically be in his early 40’s but looks to be in his mid 60’s. Basically Boba has been crushed under the wheel of the franchise’s new obsession with consolidating assets under the banner of Filoni’s big fan fict- er I mean crossover film, and Din Djarin is just an easier blank slate to control.
John Didn't have the amount of. Power that we think he did the only things that he had dropped. Control over werelando's season 1 and 2. Everything else that he worked on was heavily. Scrutinized by both Dave and Kathleen Kennedy.
we've seen this before with the last jedi and mark hamill.. and after that, i haven't watched anything star wars related other than solo (which ironically bombed, because of last jedi)
Boba Fett is the real Mandalorian, although I enjoyed the first 2 seasons. There’s no denying that they pretty much replaced Boba Fett with a “Disney-Made Character.” Which they gush over. Grogu was added for the same reason Ewoks were added.
CEO Kathleen Kennedy never liked Boba Fett. The first time we ever got the rumors that Boba Fett would get a solo years ago, she tweeted how Boba Fett was dead and died in Return of the Jedi. Then years later, to my surprise due to the tweet, we got the Book of Boba Fett, where his character was watered down into a joke, as I had more or less expected. This is a tragedy and a wrongdoing against both the character and the actor, but at the same time, it’s hardly surprising to me. I don’t think Boba ever had a fair chance. This isn’t the first time a popular or iconic Star Wars character would go down in fire or sent away decorated, either, so it’s hardly surprise from the other point of view, as well.
It would be a giant blunder for them to start a Boba Fett narrative and not finish it. Fett is an extremely iconic character from the original films with an actor that clearly enjoys the role and wants to be involved, and a very ardent fanbase. Should they change tone for a second season of Book of Boba? I don't really think it was as bad as it's made out to be. I think many had a preconceived idea of what they "wanted" the show to be and when that didn't happen it soured the show for them. Let me state for the record though that it did have it's less impressive moments, but just that overall it was better than some Star Wars that's been put out lately.
And in an aside, I sympathize on why Mae Whitman, who played the president's daughter Patricia Whitmore, never came back for Independence Day: Resurgence, another terribad sequel in history.

Jon Favreau as far as I know is a collaborative showrunner (which has been hampered for years). Initially, a lot of Mando's character (Din Djarin) was a lot of output from Brendan Wayne (who wears the armor most of the time anyway); and Grogu as a puppet instead of all CGI has been a push made by Herner Werzog (who plays "the client" in season 1). Hoping against hope that the reign and reins go to Jon one day because Temuera really has passion over the Fetts, and will 100% justify the character/s (Jango and Boba, and even any of the clones) in a proper collaboration.
I really want him back after that disappointing display of him in TBOBF. One of the greatest characters in Star Wars history, he survived from being eaten alive, came back and showed the hell off. We need more of Boba. The fanbase needs him
I will never forgive Disney for screwing over Temuera in Book of Boba Fett. Freaking two episodes not even having the main character because executives demanded more Grogu and Din.
May God bless Mr. Morrison with opportunities, and may the Force be with him. Hope he gets some StarWars work... but arguing with directors & producers is career-ending if they fail to appreciate collective intelligence. An actor with passion for their role to be deformed into a different directors opinion of the role soul-crushing.
Bro needs a season two Redemption. Have the tension of gang politics, but with him having to get personal and merciless with foes. Like plot idea, one of the biker kids gets killed senselessly in a simple meeting with another crime group, queue Boba on the warpath. Honestly, Bobba Fett is a terrible character now that he has been fully fleshed out. There is little to no interest in the fanbom anymore as far as Fett is concerned.
He just wants to play Bobba “like an actor, like an actor”. I’m fine, he was cool in Mando but his series was a boring slog of shit for myself until it became someone else’s show

i wanted a boba fett movie so bad when i was a kid, how could they get that wrong? if they couldn't make a good show with such a character, they really can't do anything good for star wars...
How are we still falling for this? When a star wars actor sais "I'm still waiting for the phone call" it means "I wanna tell you that I'm in so much but I'm not allowed".
He seems like a great dude, but Boba Fett was better as a minor character than the mess he was presented as in BOBF. Mando is probably a stronger story with the character omitted.
