If you're still doubting MJ. Here's something that should shock you. In the span of 32 months, Michael Jordan won 3 Finals championship, 3 Finals MVP, 3 scoring titles, 2 NBA MVPs, named All-Defensive 1st team 3 times and missed 0 games. Nobody in the history of the NBA has come close to doing that and I dare you to go look.

Good call! I got one that I've never heard someone mention. Jordan is 3rd all time in steals per game and of the top 10, he averages double or more blocks than any of them. He is basically the only elite pick pocket who could also block the ball. Then add 1st in ppg all time and it's crazy.

@@smootht4578 kobe is not close actually. Assuming 2009 and 2010 titles won, 1 scoring title in 2008, no MVPs, missed 9 games in the 2009-2010 seasons. Craziest Championship ever is definitely Detroit over LA! That team had 0 top 75 players and beat a Lakers team with 4 Top 75 players. The upset was insane!! Dallas Over Miami was also more impressive because GS record was crazy but the teams were not mix matched. They were pretty even I would argue LBJ big 3 was better than the Warriors top 3 players. LBJ over Curry. Kyrie over Klay Love over Draymond. And they both had good benches to so it was impressive but not the most impressive Championship I've ever seen.

I guess I’m an old head that was able to watch both these guys. I’m a Laker fan that loved Magic, Kobe and now Lebron. In the 80s I used to argue that Magic was better than Jordan because he was a winner. Jordan’s stats were insane, but he wasn’t a champion. Over time I admitted that Jordan was better. Then with Kobe I thought he could challenge Jordan’s thrown. Having watched them I had to admit that although Kobe’s my all time favorite player… he’s still not on Jordan’s level. Now with Lebron I want him to win it every year, but if I’m being honest he has never felt like the dominant force that Jordan always felt like. From someone that wished Jordan wasn’t the GOAT, nobody including Lebron has come close.

Man I feel u. I'm 42 and my favorite team is nowhere near the best, the atl hawks. We were always stopped by jordan in the playoffs even dominique! I denied Jordan for any props. Kareem, Patrick, Hardaway, Magic, Spud, Kobe, Shaq, Doc. Rivers are some guys I remember off back 3am in the morning I remember playing, along with the current era. LB is a top player, I'm neutral with him. He is better than most, but not better than Jordan. I recognize Jordan as the goat, he is the one guy I dreaded going against, and hated when he got the ball. I have never got that feeling whenever I watch lebron play.

Something to consider with Jordan's wizards years. Between 2001 and 2005 the league was at both it's slowest pace in league history and at it's toughest defensively. It was the only time in league history where hand checking and zone defense was allowed at the same time. So scoring 20+ points back then was NOT the same as scoring 20+ today.

Excellent reaction video. I grew up in Chicago and was ages 7-14 during the Bulls' championship era. My friends, family, and I watched religiously. We were obsessed. I wanted to speak to one point regarding the relatively weaker level of competition Jordan faced in the finals. We fans were never really afraid of the Bulls losing in the finals. The fear was always against the top Eastern conference teams. The Knicks and Pacers both took the Bulls to 7 games. These were the true battles against incredible teams built for a different officiating environment (more physical and defensive, harder to score, especially on the perimeter, where the players today have more space to shoot). The reason Jordan has 6, and not more finals wins, is not because he retired twice (the '94 Bulls would have had a really tough time against Hakeem's Rockets, and the '99 Bulls with Jordan would have had the same problem against Duncan's Spurs; they never had a good center), its because the Bulls lost to the Pistons in '89 and '90 (also a 7 game series). I was too young to remember the 1990 playoffs, but looking back, if the Bulls had won game 7 against the Pistons, they would have demolished the Trailblazers. Also, having watched both players, what separates the two for me that the original creator didn't mention (probably because these are too subjective) is 1) artistry, and 2) psychology. While Lebron is incredible to watch for his power, domination, and ability to facilitate, Jordan equalled or surpassed him in these areas. It's true, he did not pass as often, but he saved his passes for very clutch moments when no one was expecting them. They were high value assists. What Jordan added was a level of creative artistry to his game that Lebron does not equal. He was a revelation to watch. He seemed super human. Also, you could observe Jordan destroying his opponents mentally in real time. I think that's why he never went to 7 in the finals, because by games 5 or 6 he had broken his opponents' spirits. Lebron doesn't have that kind of pathological abusiveness to his game. These are intangible and biased observations, but I think important to note. One more side-note post Last Dance: The Jerry Krause hatred was REAL and not just at the end of the era. As 9 year old kids my friends and I hated Krause. We didn't even really know why; we just knew as a Bulls fan you were supposed to hate him.

@str8duval over half of kareems career, the game was more of a finesse game, not a physical one. Go watch. Not a lot of banging down low. Also strong big and athletic wasn't the norm back then. @iriemon3504 just because you say facts after every statement doesn't make it completely true LOL. Bottom line is Kareem still played 21 seasons. Basketball is inherently physical in every era and the most physical in the 80s. You could also argue that this way better athletes today that they was at the 80s which would be factual. Even still all the way better athletes still don't play 20 seasons at a high level.

@str8duval I not true. The bigger, stronger people are the more physical the play when the rules allow you to be dirty physical like in m.j era.. For you to say the 70s and lebums era was physical in comparison to the 80s when they were literally playing dirty physical play and players said they weren't trying to guard people but trying to hurt them and put them out of the game is preposterous. Did you watch Kareems era. It was a finesse game, that's facts and lebums era is soft defensively that's also facts. Did you even watch m.j era. Were they deliberately trying to hurt players in kareem or lebums era. Nope.

One thing I don't like is when Bron fans love bigging him up for playing at a high level in year 20 etc. But then when his weaknesses or short comings are brought up, they say well he's in year 20 what you expect? You can't champion him for winning his 4th ring as a laker, breaking the scoring title as a laker and then give an excuse for his failures, lack of defensive effort etc as a laker. We don't give Mike excuses as a wizard. He was out for 2 years and clearly wasn't the same player. Had some good moments and dropped 50 and 40 balls and had some duds. It is what it is. Gotta take the good with the bad but his effort was always there.

Apparently, you haven't heard of the shrug game. Players called out Jordan's 3-point shooting abilities. The first game he drained 6 -3's in the first half (probably still a finals record). If Jordan wanted to be the PG or wanted to shoot 3's he would have been successful. The fact he felt he was a better SG. He was a relentless worker and took bad remarks towards him to heart.

Go look it up.. There was a stretch in his early career that Jordan was moved to PG for like a 25 game period. He averaged 30.4 points, 10.7 assists, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.4 steals in 39.8 minutes over 24 games. He had like 10 of 11 games of triple doubles. Also, if you go and look at Michael Jordan's stats, He had four seasons that he took 200 or more 3pt. His LOWEST percentage during those seasons was 35% and his HIGHEST was actually 42%... He AVERAGED over 37%. If I remembered correctly. He expanded his game because critics doubted he could evolve to a three point shooter. He took things like that personally.

@@cobra7282 sometimes.i think people overvalued the 3pt line distance argument. A whole 1 1/2 inches is not that significant if you really look at it. Especially in the corners. . My argument is take if Jordan DECIDED to SHOOT more volume 3pts, he could've been more respectable as a 3pt shooter over his career. Some things to keep in mind. MJ in '88 I think won the scoring title, DPOY and league MVP in the same year. Who else is doing that????? The records for highest ppg avg in any NBA Finals series is 41.0 ppg.....still held by MJ against the Sun's in '93. Jordan only played with 2 top 75 players in his career... Rodman and Pippen. How many has LeBron played with???? Kylie, AD, Wade, Bosh, Shaq, Love (maybe), D Howard, Ray Allen, Westbrook...and so on. Jordan never moved from team to team, he simply got tougher, better and was more hungrier.

in 88 he also led the league in steals which he did 3 times and retired 2nd all time in that stat, he's now 4th but still has the best game average at 2.35. People tend to forget Jordan did it all and at a very high level. In 88 he also scored 2868 points which is 6th best all time the year before he scored 3041 points which is 3rd of all time. James best year was 2478 which is good for 32 off all time in the top 30 Jordan holds 6 of those.

Later I came to the conclusion that Jordan was more professionally on point where he needed to be, but then I realized I think LeBron sees possibilities better than anyone, like assists and that is what matters for teamwork and so then I realized LeBron is the one who can assess what is missing better than anyone and be the juggernaut that defeats the amazing team while still keeping the team looking their best for the win. In the case of Jordan I am not so sure he could win if you threw him into various teams and so which is the better player walking into any basketball game? Now as to Kevin Durant, I like to throw in just enough to get a persons attention. Maybe I just got confused. I am not gonna hold to all of that list. Jordan shot better when he started taking MORE threes, which shows how much more effective he’d be in today’s era which encourages it. (A lot of his early year threes were half-court heaves at the buzzer or a rushed attempt before the shot clock expired) He hardly focused on them. When he started to focus on threes, he became effective. Seasons with less than 75 attempts: 1984-85: 52 attempts - .173 1985-86: 18 attempts .167 1986-87: 66 attempts - .182 1987-88: 53 attempts - .132 Jordan (in seasons BEFORE the league shortened free throw line for three seasons), 200+ attempts: 1989-90: 245 attempts - .376 1992-93: 230 attempts - .352 Jordan was also great in the Finals, when it mattered. In the three Finals series in 91, 92, and 93, he shot 42% from three and held a record at the time for three pointers made in a half. And again, this was BEFORE they moved the three point line in.

LeBron lost in Cleveland and then took his behind to Miami to JOIN Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh.... it's the same thing that Durant did, only LeBron did it first, so stop ignoring the fact that LeBron left Cleveland WITHOUT telling them he was even considering leaving....LeBron coming back from being down 3-1 and beating the Warriors, go back Abe watch HOW he was able to come back....remember the SO-CALLED Draymond Green crotch shot called AFTER THE GAME in favor of LeBron? Green was suspended for 2 games for a kick in the groin that wasn't there once you looked at it on camera....LeBron never fell to the floor, he never grabbed his crotch, he never even complained to thr referees..... that fake call was made overnight by the league, and the fans didn't know about it until right before game 5 ? You claim that LeBron would take teams to the playoffs over Jordan??? What rules are you playing under?? If Jordan played under the soft rules of today's league, he goes to the finals all10 times, and he doesn't lose any of those series, especially if he played the same teams that LeBron played, and as a matter of fact, the Dallas Mavericks team that has Jason Terry running rimshot over LeBron James, and sweeping him in that finals, Jordan actually played that same team 7 times, and beat them 5 out of 7 times..... You say LeBron lost to the warriors in 2015 because Kyrie and Love were injured, but don't use the same logic when Andrew Bogut was injured and Draymond suspended in 2016. Yea, they came back 3-1, but golden state was missing a key big man, and their premier perimeter defender in Draymond. You can't use the logic for injuries when LeBron loses one year, but ignore it to support LeBron when he wins. Also LeBron and Tim Duncan won bronze in the Olympics twice until the implementation of Kobe, and then they won gold. Also adding LeBron to any team isn't an automatic finals. Adding LeBron and two other all stars is an automatic finals to be more correct. So no, putting LeBron on any team by himself isn't an automatic finals. He only carried that Cleveland team one time to the finals until he started teaming up with other all stars to help make those finals appearances. I still think LeBron is one of the greatest top 3 in my book, mix em how you want. I personally have Jordan 1. Good reaction tho, even with all my rebutles

Andrew bogut had nowhere near the impact on the finals that Kyrie and Kevin love had . Draymond getting suspended definitely played a part in the Cavs winning but that’s his fault for being dirty. @inthecutstudios9505
@inthecutstudios9505 Год назад
@@queztheplug Yes it is, because Andrew Bougut is a big man, and was the size of the team, which is important too, not just scoring. Bogut and Draymond being gone completely took away the size and screen setting for the warriors, which is really important and can still change the dynamics of a game. It's not just about scoring the ball, as the warriors had offense in Klay and Steph, their defense and size missing is what lost them the series. And there were people on that Cavs team. He had D wade who is still a veteran with skill, Derrick Rose who is not old Rose, but not a bum. Kyle Korver, who was a 3 point specialist, Kevin Love, Jordan Clarkson, Deandre Jordan, and J R Smith. That is a pretty solid team if you ask me. Kevin Love was the only all star that year, but he still had former all stars and MVP caliber players like Rose and d wade, and a 3 point specialist in Korver, and JR could get you 40 on any given night. A pretty good team, especially in the east. Just not big superstar names like on the heat. 2007 and 2018 are the years LeBron carried, not for all 10 finals like people like to make it seem. And I'm not trying to downplay those runs either. It just isn't the case for every finals run. He had help as well, just like everyone else.

And just before the pandemic I saw a Cavs vs Bulls early 90s classic on RU-vid and I made it a point to zero in on Jordan and watch objectively. And before ppl say “you can’t just watch one game” well I also made it a point that I would watch a few more Jordan games before my final judgement but even b4 I finished the first half I was like “🫣oh…😧shit……😔nvm” The more I’ve gone down the Jordan rabbit hole the more I’ve had to face the misleading disingenuous Lebron narratives they use to justify the “goat debate” that I bought into

When he dropped 63 against the celtics i knew this guy was special and even though bird and the celtics won you just knew this guy wasnt going away and was only going to get better. Larry and magic saved the nba no doubt and without those 2 maybe there is no jordan which also means no kobe or lebron either.
