i have auto sprint on and bound my left stuck to W - it’s the easiest method imo. if you want to tapstrafe left and right i bind inspect to A and emote to D (i think that’s what the buttons do - i don’t use them so i wouldn’t know) and if i need to use them i press the corresponding key on my keyboard :)

Koala idk if it’s better for you but I have my tap strafes set to clicking my sticks in. I play with auto sprint on and my left stick is binded to w,a and then I took off Melee and binded my right stick to w,d it’s way easier then tap strafing with bumpers or dpad
melee is ac v important at high level imo - the amount of times it’s saved me is way higher than you’d think. i would replace your emote menu with w.d - but still have it on your right stick - so you melee with a dpad button
I use lB for my tap strafes and when I hold it down I tap strafe and keep jumping so it’s like 2 binds in 1 . So I have 2 jumping buttons my normal x and lb which is tap strafe and infinite jump
please let me help u with the setting i promise mine are the absolute best u can use and no one has my settings i made the first video on tap-strafing on controller a year and a half ago i would love to teach u some things
