Fun fact: The reason why Miss Bikini is so short is because her original sprite was taking up too much space in the original game. So, they made her shorter in order to save space on the GBA.
Also two fun facts: 1) 1-5 was made for the DS ports and also to show off what the ds could do (srsly i have an issue of Nintendo power that has it and fire emblem path of radiance reviewed in it) 2) bc the first game was made in 2001, nick's motivations cannot be a reference to legally blonde- two writers seperated by an ocean and languages really had similar thoughts
Bridge to the Turnabout is a fucking fantastic conclusion to the original trilogy but I’ll always love that one of the reasons the plan went off the rails is because Morgan had to be so fucking dramatic in her instructions to Pearl that she misunderstood what she meant
That may be naive to say, but I really think this case alone is one the most cleverly written story of all time, it's SOOO good lit students should be studying it
I think the biggest issue with it is I've never seen anyone fail to realize maya must be the one channeling dahlia long before the game wants you to think about it. It's nearly impossible not to figure it out instantly, but you spend a fair bit of time waiting for Phoenix and the others to catch up.
@@Namingway248 Yeah, but that's more a side effect of how the trials are structured as opposed to a writing flaw in my mind. The trials have always been a "one mystery at a time" thing, so they more or less always have that same issue.
Same! I love these reactions and "deductions" but I lack the free time to watch 3 hour VODs. So I'm glad these more edited digested videos can still shine, and bright up my mood!
I love how Dahlia and Mia contrast. Dahlia's whole thing is "you can't do anything to me, I'm dead." and then, Mia comes back and does the exact same thing. Dahlia can't do anything to her, she's dead. Dahlia can't win against Mia at all; Mia's "dead," after all. As long as Mia's spirit is here, Dahlia loses. Aahh, I just love Trials and Tribulations... I'll miss Phoenix now that we go to Apollo Justice's trilogy.
Mia Fey the Woman that you are!!! genuinely watching these streams live was fantastic, it had been a long time since I played the games and while I knew the outcome it was great getting the chance to go "OH THAT'S RIGHT THAT"S HOW" as more evidence popped up and court hearings went on! Your vids and streams are consistently so much fun!
The fact that the very last cross examine was Maya and this is the first time she takes the stand, despite being framed multiple times, is just poetic. The final obstacle is the person that stood by Phoenix's side all this time. She is distraught and hiding something but she also knows Phoenix's tricks so she wont crack so easily. Its one of the greatest final battles in video game history.
@colt1903 A large part of the Phoenix Wright series is the fact that despite all odds Phoenix never gives up. So going from a case like this to seeing Phoenix in the very first case of Apolo Justice is a huge shift of the character that we know.
the streams for these were a blast. im so glad i got to participate and watch you play the trilogy for the first time! you've been the most entertaining and wicked smart out of anyone i've seen, and it's such a breath of fresh air! hopefully i can join more streams in the future ❤
These Ace Attorney playthroughs have been absolutely wonderful to watch through. The Phoenix Wright trilogy is my favorite game series of all time, and watching you be so genuine and funny and invested in this series (and Great Ace Attorney Chronicles as well) has really warmed my heart and helped my recent mental heath. Thank you for being so awesome! ❤️
Man, the thing I always think about this case is Godot confession. That part when he acknowledged the fact that the person he killed could have been Pearl as well it's just tragic.
I love this trial. Like, the final trials of these games are always great, but this one... I really love this one. I think it may be the best, honestly.
Why didn't youtube put this on my front page three days ago?! Following your journey through these games has been a treat, and I'm really looking forward to seeing you tackle the Apollo Justice ones!
With all the mystic stuff that happens to and around phoenix you would think they're setting up another game where you get to play as diego for a case. Because he was accidentally channeled by phoenix and he doesn't go back until the trial is done.
Honestly, I've joined your streams in the middle of the recipe for a turnabout case and have got to see where your Ace Attorney journey would go to. I know both Investigations games are left up to date but tbh. Love the joy and heart you put into each game you play, even though I don't know crap about Metaphor xD
Sadly, I can't watch this yet. I'm still on the second case of the third game. I'll be back in a week, or as soon as I catch up. Hope everyone has fun!
Oh, you're in for a treat. This game was a roll coaster when I first played it, way back on the gameboy like 15 years ago. Yep, those were the good old days.
The idea that Von Karma taught Edgeworth 'manners' that made him come off like an utter dick as yet another part of his insanely petty revenge scheme is SO funny to me. (I mean I know he's also just Like That but framing it to young Edgeworth as the 'polite' thing to do SIR WHAT WAS YOUR DAMAGE?!)
Crystal is such a fujioshi for Miles and Edgeworth...and quite possibly Edgeworth's second biggest fan, right after Wendy Oldbag. While I don't believe for one second there is a secret relationship between our favorite defense attorney and prossecutor, I do love the complex and genuine friendship the two of them share. It's amazing how well a game can represent that, with the limitations it has to hold to.
Those who want the trilogy again, a RU-vidr named Woolie Versus is playing the trilogy too and is about to finish the first game as of now. Enjoy a different perspective of the game~
14:20 The way Larry falls for any girl makes me see why everyone hates him 30:00 Franziska wasn't the prosecutor I asked for, she was what we needed. She did what no one was brave enough to do. Beat up Larry. Pearl laying into Frankziska was so heartwarming 1:06:43 XD 1:12:25 Iris wasn't the only one crying here. I love a good romance, those two had something special.
Hey, I know it might not be your type of thing, but there's an ace attorney anime, and it has its own unique case. You should watch it on stream sometime!
I know a lot of effort was made for this video but when youtube tries to force feed me 2 ads every 5 minutes of it theres only so much i can stomach...
She's not streaming Investigations until after she (a) finishes playing Metaphor: Refantazio, and (b) returns from her Japan trip. So probably not until December at the earliest.
