i love tiny computers currently trying to find enough parts to build my sister an ITX gaming PC Twitter: / swallowfire Preferred artist: / _tpknnts Message me anywhere if you have any suggestions or comments, I'd love to hear from you!
Im sorry to hear you watch Cats. I hope you are getting the support you need after that experience. On a side note, just got the 3080 i5 version of this and looking to see if I can hackintosh it.
Hi, thank you for the video. I also use this model at work. Got it nearly a month ago. Pretty fast machine. However, I am constantly hearing a clicking sound coming out of the front lower side of the case. Any idea what makes that sound? Something to do with the power module?
You're not gonna be able to fit a GPU in this PC. It's too small. You'll need to move to a bigger PC. I have a video coming out tomorrow about a low profile card that will fit in the slightly larger SFF version of this PC, but the SSFF one in the video can't fit anything.
I'm thinking of getting this for my media server build. Just saw it in the shop and it's really small which I think would save space ovear custom build one
Did you get the basic Dell support plan? Did you happen to upgrade the plan to pro, and, how much did it cost? If you got the support plan extended, how much did it cost? Thank you. I found out that the the 3080 I found has the basic plan, and it's still good until February of next year!
i dunno much about mine but its a 10500t 6c 12t I have 16gb of ram i have replaced my desktop as if I'm fair on expectations for games and I'm no fps gammer on that note it works fine with the advantage of being portable af witch is the biggest selling point for me being I work from home and can work from anywhere in the world with decent internet connection so I do travel so its just better fit aswell as the power being much lower than a gaming PC
hey man, when i plug the mini pc to the outlet the power button blinks. If I press that while blinking, it doesn't turn on. I have to wait for it to finish blinking before I could press again and turn it on, is that also the same for you?
@@blablablabla-bs8pt What kinds of games do you enjoy playing? If you use it for older games, it should be fine, but just to be sure, touch the side of your computer and if it feels hot, stop playing that game. However, I do not recommend playing on this model in general.
@@watchinjustbro4127 it's totally fine, even overkill for music production only! u just need enough ram (2x8gb) and lots of storage space with a cpu with atleast a few cores
I am thinking about this model for a media player. It does not use much space. Anyone experience with 4k playback ? Can it do decent 4k playback with a higher bitrate ? And decent sound ?
There's no space inside for a dedicated GPU sadly. You might be able to run a PCIE extender to an external power supply but that's a really janky solution haha
@@Swallowfire Thank you! i think i will let pc run as it is right now, thx god i got a series s for gaming, and this is quite good enough to play game like age of empire :D
This is quiet impressive. Most of the micro pc's have soldered storage and ram. The fact that you can upgrade this pc, catches my eye. Great video. Thanks
Found a 3080 i5 attached to a 22"(?) matching monitor in an apartment dumpster to-day. Also found the matching charger! What is the max RAM it can support? What is the fastest CPU it can support? Want to see if it works! Thank you 🤓 a full length nvme? Great! 😁
@@Swallowfire I think the max RAM is 64GB (32 x 2). Problem is it's not booting properly. It tries to start normally, but goes to a blue screen saying windows didn't start properly, so it will auto restart. Restarts a couple times and then goes to a diagnostic function. Do I have to do a file back up before it can go into factory reset? Thank you 🤓
Vegas is one of the lighter edit suites. You should be okay. Though I would say go for a full size one, so you can add a graphics card and some extra storage at some point.
Hi Alex. I just want to ask. Can I use or transfer the processor of Dell Optiplex 3080 to my normal Desktop? I'm planning to build a pc. Thanks in advance!
No, the Dell is not "smaller" than a graphics card. The graphics card is longer, but the physical world is described in three dimensions, not one. No, RAM is not under the heatsink, it is under the fan. You should really know better. No, the SSD is not difficult to get out. Come on man, maybe hard to get out with one hand. Opening the screw cap of a bottle is hard with one hand.
So i ended up with one of these being given to me... would it be good for the arcade cabinet I wanna make with it? I'm hoping to emulate up to ps2 if not 3
@@Swallowfire i figured for some reason even tho it is a 3080 it also says i5 but at the end of the day it will mostly just be an arcade stand for my game room so ps2 is more than enough. Thanks for the info and great video
