Well this is easily the most expensive rig I’ve ever tried on the channel. Thanks to every one of you for making this dream a reality :) Prophecy video up next?
Could you like feature each of the voices on a different guitar if possible. Maybe like if you go through each of the voicings on each and see which one has the best of each voicing. That would probably even represent each of the prophecies in their special areas. As usual love the content and demo tracks man :)
Sure would have been nice to get the Hughes & Kettner 4X12 that goes with that amp. Then you would have the perfect low profile rig for apartment jamming at 3AM.
If your 'down ' with douchey 90's LED backlit engraved plexiglass panels. "Our amps have cool individual LED indicators in the chassis" H&K: Oh you have typical idiot lights that's nice.
@@kellyjackson7889 Well, I'm down with those idiot douchey 90's LED backlit engraves plexiglass panels. Huh, guess I'm a douchey idiot then. Who would have thought liking LEDs was the only criteria for that...
@@Ari_Calamari We all like 'idiot lights' Alan or else companies wouldn't continue to use them. H&K however, upped the ante by making their amps look like the 'Ice capades' version of 'Frozen' lol
Thought the pinch harmonics in the demo were a horse hitting its elbow on a table 😂😂 Stoked for the Prophecy demo, it'll be interesting how that turns out
@@manosassassin You don't need a Kemper for awesome tones. Hotone Ampero, Line6 Pod Go... Also with the Neural DSP Modeller coming soon, the Kemper gets slammed out of existence.
@@agufish Now that i think about it, you should also for fun try the Hughes&kettner Tubemeister 5. i don't think they sell them anymore but they are like a super tiny tubemeister. Still glows blue though!
HOLY SHIT! They're letting you keep it??? I fucking love H&K. I had a GM40 before I went to dental school and needed to sell it, but as soon as I graduate I'm buying another H&K amp. Great video as always and I hope you have so much fun with that sucker!
Congrats 3 years late! H&K amps kick ass!!! I’ve whittled down my set up to a stereo rig, or A & B rig. An PRs mt 15 with a MXR, Dunlop based pedalboard, and an H&K Tubemeister 36. Still working on the pedal board for that, but it’s basically the same exact board. So far, more than happy with my decision!
Hell yeah! 🤘🏻great content I’m a single cut guy lol I know you don’t like them but i modded a dean caddy that might change your mind!? Just think if Adam Jones and Dime’s guitars made a baby 😂 if this won’t do it then it’s just a 100% no go on the caddy’s for ya. As always thanks for the videos!
As My Uncle Ted used to say "If it's too Loud, then get the fuck out!" I'm almost 69 and I own a Marshall JCM 900 2500 and a Laney GH50L. I don't play any of the screamo crap, But I love long sustained Santana and Nugent type notes. Uncle Teddy used to also say, "What self respecting woman needs a vibrator when she's standing in a room with 3 screaming twin reverbs?" Uncle Teddy used to also say "There's a screaming in my Ear and I think it's the Call of the Wild" Of course he also used to say "Rattle My Snake, Feel Free to!"
the H&K are nice. I'd love to see the TriAmp take on another great german amp like the ENGL Savage 120. Do the Germans make the best amps? Looking forward to see the Prophecy videos. I might want to get one of the flying V's, so abuse the one you got and see how it holds up!
Wow this is so awesome! First off, congrats brother! Secondly I'm currently trying to find 3k I can throw towards one. That amp would definitely have a forever home with me.
It kinda reminds me of the Randall 667. If I ain't wrong such amps work best when paired up with a uncolored speaker like the EVM12L or EVM12L Black Label.
I have had the MKII for 9 years and it's awesome. I have had to have it serviced twice and the only place that can do it is in Pennsylvania so these can be costly to maintain.
Those are some of the worst sounds I've heard in an amp demo, this amp does so little work so much. None, repeat none of the early amp tones are accurate, I'm a tube guy with modern gear that is a take on vintage circuit design and sonic aesthetic, I would even buy a digital amp over this disgrace.
This is a fantastic amp. I’ve played before and would love to own one but it’s ridiculously too much for my needs. I already drive the neighbors crazy with an HK GM36.
Hey, great video.. and a great amp, what cheaper would you compare this one to when it comes to the sound, I mean ok this one has six channels, but compare at least a couple of the channels with another cheaper amp.. and have you tried out a Laney Ironheart ? What do you think about it for high gain riffs ?
Sadly, they aren't really getting the recognition. They are often passed over for any number of better known or currently popular amps. It is a shame. I played a Triamp mk2 and it was as good or better than ANYTHING I have owned. And that is including a number of Bogners, and SLO100, a bunch of Mesa's and a Diezel vh4. They are an absolute steal...you can grab a mk2 for ~1000 bucks or so.
God do I wish I had the cash for one of those and a LP Custom. All I could afford is the H&K Tubemeister 36 Head, which is a great amp, but not ideal for Metal I'd say. 11:06 lol isn't that a Nickelback riff? Gotta admit, while people love to hate them and I'm kinda sick of that band, they have some good riffs.
Sorry other amp manufacturers, h&k still takes the cake for the most unique looking amps on the market ! Btw, did I hear you play nickelback towards the end ?
I had a Mesa boogie triple rec and I decided change it up a bit. I downgraded to hughes and kettner 36. Or so I thought! Bro the sound was just as thick and powerful. Of course the m.b is more powerful but couple features on the h.k made me love it even more. For record the red box on the back is without a doubt best thing ever.
Some say he doesn't play live unless the floors can be mopped or plowed under because many will be pissing themselves over the tone. And he prefers a refined thrash with a Goth pixie over a crude rut in the hay with a Georgia peach. All we know is, he's called Der Fish!
I absolutely love H&K. My main home rig is a 2x12 with a Tubemeister 18 and Boss floorboard. Then a Grandmeister 40 and additional 2x12 for performance.
If, one day you go on a road trip (to someplace like Florida), and you come back to find a back window broken, and an awesome amp and that gorgeous Gibson "on vacation", I think this note is just a coincidence. :-)
Honestly, if I could get something like this that's just amp 3, I would be so happy. I don't really personally like/have any use for amps 1 and 2. 3, tho, absolutely wonderful, though I personally prefer 3b over 3a. Still an amazing vid, Hunter!
Great piece of kit. For those where money is no object. Just hope that they are reliable , won't be cheap for a service or re valve. But if you can afford one on the first place it won't matter.
Amazing, would be nice to see a vid in the channel comparing the dual rec tone against the actual mesa marshall channel against the DSL etc thumbs up for playing nickelback because if you
The Grandmeister and Tubemiester are close and only 40 watts and can be antinuated various ways and have direct outs with active loadboxes so no cab is even required if need be.
you want channels? a mesa triaxis/stereo 2:90 is 9 channels and the same 16 tubes into a max of 16 cabs and has basically every circuit from every channel from mark1-mark4 and either a recto or orange sound
