i dont even know how i got all the moon and sun medal requirements as a child people complained about it but like, it really isnt that hard

I was looking for them, but not going super in depth to it, and found everything I needed to progress. For 100% of the medals; yeah, that was ridiculous at times. But the complaints about gating the levels behind them feels off to me.

yeah I think I only had one point where it gated it and it was just me needing to go back into the werehog stages 1 extra time and had no issues after. But I'm a person that tries to grab anything possible so I was already grabbing anything I've seen

@@mastertrainergaming I think the issue is more, on a blind playthrough, you're kind of not EXPECTING to have to look for them, it hadn't really been done in Sonic before. If you know the stipulations are coming up then it's really not a big deal, it's just more of a launch-window problem.

@@mastertrainergaming I recommend it just for the better performance, but also cuz now that you know all the levels better. and these DLC levels WILL challenge you, I know you said you prefer the more difficult levels and reaction times in this game than in Generations so you will get the challenge you want

I really appreciate what this game is, and the potential the boost formula had on the series. Its a shame it wasn't realised properly, and ended poorly with Forces.

@@mastertrainergaming It's the last Sonic game to truly feel "complete" before Frontiers honestly? It's a full length adventure with a full story, and I think after this game we didn't get that for a LONG while and that was quite a shame. It's got a lot of problems but as a complete package it's totally worth experiencing. I think it's worth noting this game was effectively concieved as "The Last Sonic Game", there's a sense of finality to it all, that if this was what they went out on they'd give it there all. It's why Eggmanland is such a big deal, this endgoal built up over nearly a decade of stories finally being realized, and being the single most brutal deathtrap Eggman could possibly design, possibly the final challenge for Sonic to ever overcome and that's great in that context? To have Sonic run off into the sunset, I really appreciate the game for that at least.

I remember finding SA2s missions a tad tedious but not actually difficult in the way that this was. But, each to their own.

@@mastertrainergaming tad is putting it lightly. Like, the 100 ring missions for every Tails stage just blow, and you gotta do them fast enough for an A rank. Especially Eternal Engine with the artificial chaos everywhere.

Absolutely, definitely one of the most involved plats in the series. You have to get really close to 100% complete to platinum it, albeit I am surpised that was no S rank all levels requirement.

@@mastertrainergaming Yeah me too about the S Rank because Sonic Generations is the only Sonic game that has a trophy to S Rank all the levels but no other game has that only to S Rank one level but thats it which is weird because for me I really enjoy the ranking system in the Sonic games particularly SA2-Colors because in those games you actually had to try to get the S Rank with score and not just finishing the level without dying it's a lot more engaging to me 6:08p.m. 7/31/2024

Look, I actually really like the idea that there is real endgame content in a Sonic game like the hot dog trials. Perhaps it feels a bit excessive having to do 15 missions per level, but I'm not mad about that. Menuing and multi item select should absolutely be a thing. I'm not fussed by the medal requirements, but if bringing them down helps people get into the game more then I'm ok with that.

@@mastertrainergaming I have a lot of ideas of improvements Like a more well written villains base on elements that predate dark Gaia itself and were inprisoned for millennia The planet doesn’t need to be broken again but the “Elementals could conquered a faction of the planet and Sonic would have to defeat each one With the leader wanting to see if he is a worthy opponent to as before head he could never find a opponent who could beat him as from mortal warriors or his elemental brethren Better camera for the Werehog stages and even more improvements to it combat Etc I have more on all this but this could take literally days to explain everything about my dream of it But thanks for reading if this also interests you as well
