I gave myself 100 days to make minecraft fun again. here is the result. music from: www.epidemicsound.com/music/g... artlist.io/ GFUEL LINK!!! (10% off) Link: gfuel.ly/3OnV2KS Code: NotNotBrock (use this at checkout)
@@Free.duck.coffee In all my years of Minecraft I got a few dozens of zombie raids since they are quite common in fact, each night the game checks if you're near a village and there is basically 10% chance of it happening if the biome allows it
Tip: When making a rail system, instead of putting redstone blocks under the powered rails, use redstone torches instead. They will power the same amount at 1/9 of the cost.
@@Redcon0 I actually made a roller coaster (in creative) with that trick because I did not want to change any of the blocks below the rails. I know this is self advocacy, but if you want it, it is listed on Curseforge and Planet MC as "Qsta's Roller Coaster #1"
Honestly, the video was AMAZING, had so much fun watching it. I really enjoyed the fact that you talked about your life, becouse so much people forget in their videos that it is a part of the adventure too. (I'm also glad you're enjoying minecraft again)
People like u make me enjoy watching ur content and seeing u just play unlike these unoriginal "I had the best start in hardcore Minecraft" that build 59 automatic farms in the first episode. They have no humor and no originality while they swear and steal jokes. You're one of the few minecraft youtubers that actually make good content and I appreciate that
Fun episode. I'm glad you're having fun again and I love the rhythm editing & all the little jokes. I don't know how you're doing all this with leather armour. I'd have hugged a cactus by now and said "haha much funny curse of binding joke done." :D
ik im late however i love the use of editing the block placing to match the music, its such a nice touch and i know it mustve taken a while so i wanna let u know that ur hard work hasn't gone unnoticed :)
genuinely one of the best hardcore videos i’ve ever seen. i really understand what you mean in all the parts discussing getting bored of minecraft. i thought you covered it so well though :) can’t wait to see what’s next
When I play, I feel the need to attach myself to home base and refurbish it to the point that makes it easier to navigate, even if I'm working with impossibly weird terrain, like bumpy mountains and cliffs with uneven settlements. I managed to turn a mountainside village into a livable headquarters with nice and neat corners and stairways to help move around the space. It's still a work in progress before it can be considered pristine condition, but I am thoroughly attached to it enough to stay here. I gotta find a way to explore and find some resources outside my usual range though. It's just my boredom that prevents me from enjoying the game for too long. I don't blame you for wanting to destroy all that you own, because Minecraft isn't really made to last this long unless you got friends motivating you to stay.
Lovely Episode, You are incredibly funny and nice also, the house in the carrot farm shown at 34:51 and onwards I think you should deck this house out with the most luxury of décor and make the occupant of this house a humble little pig named Mr. Jefferson
Hey Brock! Great vid as always. I do have a suggestion regarding the iron golems. I believe if you keep the 2 that you have somewhere where they aren't any trouble, but alive, the villagers do not spawn anymore. if that isn't how it works or you have already done it (I'm 35 mins into the vid so far) then my comment is more useless than beetroot.
Have you thought about introducing some mods into your world or starting a whole new modded hardcore world? There are plenty of mods out there that make mobs harder to fend off not just in the early game to keep you on your toes and mods such as Create give a whole new element of dynamicism to a world that can make playing much more challenging and enjoyable.
This is phenomenal video, thank you, hadn’t seen any of your videos before but I love just watching people be creative and work on a world for a few hours and this was perfect! Earned a sub! ❤
I just discovered your channel today and have proceeded to watch several of your videos in succession. Your content is awesome and super refreshing. Your self aware and down to earth narration is way better than a lot of creators really over the top narration in my opinion. I also love how creative and ingenuitive you with all of your builds. I understand that mob and item farms are a key component of Minecraft because of how tedious collecting resources can be and I know that you have them of course, but I really like that they typically are not directly in most of your builds. Purely because I find a lot of them, shall we say, somewhat offensive to the eye haha. I've been really wanting to get back into Minecraft recently as I have not played it consistently in the better part of a decade, and your content is really inspiring to me and is making me even more excited to get back into it. I love all that you're doing and I hope to see more of your stuff in the future!
this was honnestly the most fun iv'e had watching a minecraft video in a while! Great job!! Also, the detail of placing the blocks to macth the music might just be one of my favorite parts, it was so satisfying but must've taken SO LONG! Just great job :)
7:10 - "What is THIIIS?!" That, dear friend, is a "Zombie Seige" it's a very little known mechanic to the game, you see, MC randomly tries to spawn a bunch of zombies aggro'd to nearby villagers anywhere the game sees a Village randomly. It's like a raid, except I'm pretty sure it's been in the game twice as long.
So many minecraft youtubers and minecrafg content including you, have gotten me to try to branch off and get better and play in hard mode keep inventory off, im trying to do this but its pretty hard, thanks for getting me to get better, i hope you keep making great content.
something in me was telling me you weren’t enjoying minecraft anymore and in turn i wasn’t tuning in as often, not intentionally, but i wasn’t. this turn in the series is making me fall in love with your content again. im glad to see you enjoying it too.
Hey Brock! Love the content and that you’ve gotten so far with it. Idk who edits the videos but if it’s you, then all I have to say is… Wow! If it’s an editor, then show him some extra love from me :)
Man I love this channel. I love that you’re in touch with how you feel about the world and your career as a mc RU-vidr and that you’re not insecure about showing it. I know that’s a weird compliment lmaoooo, but keep it up! Love your stuff!!
Man, its my first time seeing one of your videos, and i have to say, im pretty glad i bumped into your channel. I'm have some issues with minecraft myself, and watching this 100 days soo well edited and fun, with a pinch of that self conciousness made my day, glad i met you, shoutout from Brasil :)
This is such a great video. I do have a small question when it comes to editing your video though! At 32:08 and a couple other parts of the video, what is your method for the jump-cuts lining up with the music? do you have keyframes that you tap a button to place every time you want it to skip? Thanks in advance!
Another banger video! I'm glad to see you find the spark for the game again, I've always enjoyed your content. Also, you guys *rocked* it in MCC Rising!
"I knew that Minecraft didn't change; I just did."🥺 Words so true, that it hurts. Growing pains isn't a physical pain, it's an emotional one. It's bitter-sweet to get older. Sweet, because you learn so much and you're able to do more, but bitter because as we change the things we loved so much as kids also changes and things that brought us so much joy is difficult to find joy in again. 😭
I don't know why all the sniffers climbing on top of the the tent was so funny to me but I couldn't stop smiling aha 😄 Loved this video! I had a gresf time, this was a really lovely watch. 💕
Hey there, I'm enjoying the video a lot so far, and I have a great tip for your future enchanting. When you were grinding for an infinity bow, you could have rolled for an infinity villager instead. This is a really good idea because infinity bows can't have mending so you'll always need more infinity books, and it's practically free to do so (except for time spent re-rolling of course).
Your editing style is so refreshing. I came to your video to harvest dopamine for my brain and it was actually effective. I've never watched you before but truly this is an entertaining video 👍🏻
If you're struggling with making the game fun, here's some tips you can use to hopefully make it fun again. 1. Build something that doesnt make any sense - make it weird, pretty or whatever you feel like. theres no need for it to be functional! 2. Grind for the basic materials instead of using the farm you propably built on the first days. 3. (Disclaimer: propably not the best idea for hardcore players.) Make some unenchanted tools and armor - there's a lot of adrenaline you're missing out when you're stacked with full protection stuff and 20 totems. 4. Try out and older version - my recommendations are 1.7, 1.12, 1.13, 1.15 (it's basically 1.14 with less bugs and better features), 1.16 5. Get some pets such as dogs or a horse that you will try to protect and take care of. 6. Build a biome - existing or your own. terraform a bit if you don't have any ideas for a biome to build. 7. Adventure and make a home somewhere far away (even better if it isn't near a village) 8. Light up around your base, make a wall around it, maybe even a moat. 9. Venture out in the night, fight some mobs. 10. Dont rush the end dimension - beating the game might not be the end, but unlocking elytra and shulker boxes is a bit too much Or you could limit yourself to 1 or 2 shulker boxes, and not enchanting the elytra with unbreaking. At the end of the day there's little fun in making every automatic farm, except for the building process of the farm Low efficiency farms are good, because you get a helping hand, yet you still need got to work. Just because it's not efficient to do something, doesn't mean it's less fun. No work > lots of work, since you can spread the work over more time, yet there's only boredom if you dont work at all.
A simple way to get rid of the “netherite” you have on is just to find some way to harm yourself-without being too lethal, like maybe a dispenser with arrows that’s in range to take out such arrows-in order to get rid of the armor. Simple!
Thannks broook, I am a fairly technical old guy and i play Minecraft with my 9 year old. Your diamonds journey made me think of what is for him when we play together and i am yet to find a way to dial down a notch and let him have fun
Ouch man. :( The ending of that video hit way too hard! I've been playing Minecraft since 15/16 too and have had the same issue of it not feeling as magical as it used to. That's most of gaming for me, actually! But you're completely right; it's nothing wrong with the game itself, just that *we've* grown up. :c
hello Brock, love the video! Idea: There where the path crosses some spruce planks in the field you could replace them with oak plangs to match the path block. Secont thing: Have you concidert streaming again or are you still moving or have no time. I just really enjoyd watching your streams.
I usually use this kind of videos as a background sound as I sleep but, this was not like that (Might be the first minecraft video that I was able to finish without falling asleep- ). Watching this actually made me want to play the game again. Not like others tho, like how I want to play it! I was so focused on playing the game "right". Build farms and beating the game...Now I just want to focus on what I want :> Thank you for reminding me this. I know Its not really important but, I felt like I needed to say that. I like your content! :>
I made myself an automated collection sniffer farm.I tried mud first for them to dig in but the Sniffers weren't finding the items every 8 minutes as they should be, so I replaced mud with dirt that still didn't improve productivity.I had only half a stack of each in 22 hrs afk. I replaced the dirt with good old grass block and bingo immediately the sniffers were digging it and did every 8 minutes as should result 11 stacks of each of the seeds and pods in nearly 22 hrs.. The other blocks are bugging so use Grass blocks for Sniffer farms and include placing a few moss blocks to speed up hatching your sniffer eggs..
