Breaking a kayak is never fun but flipping a kayaking in the waves coming in from a long day on the water without catching anything and breaking/losing gear is terrible. Today I talk about my experience with Old Town customer service and what they did to help me out.

Looks like you flipped because you hit ground with the pedals, is that right? I think you need to put up closer and paddle/surf in

Hey thanks for the response and My pedals were unlocked and I was in waist deep water when I got up. The waves actually grabbed my Rudder and pushed my backend sideways.

@@chrisrippz glad your safe. Still nervous to go in open water. Did surf kayaking as a kid and that was fun, I want to try again when the weather warms up. Try putting up the rudder and pedals next time. Should make you a lot safer. I have made my own mistakes so I am far from perfect.

@@maloso81 thanks for the advice and I’ve stopped going out on the beach side and stick to inland fishing gear to expensive to keep losing
