The fact that the devs didn't make the adoring fan essential, but still made him respawn every few (days?) speaks to how they understood what we as players want to do
Makes me believe that the adoring fan is supposed to be randomized by a different looking character every time the fan dies and Another takes his place. But I guess they either in a time constraint or were too lazy to implement that
WHAT!? i didnt know that he respawns if he dies! If i killed him i never bothered with it again, and if i wanted him alive i was cautious to not let him die. Now its another story then lol
@@ThatsCoolDude oblivion npcs have bipolar when you walk past them :By the Nine,it's the hero of kvatch when you ask them about rumours: i don't want to talk to you,it's because i dont like you :)
@@ThatsCoolDude I think it's mostly the racism when you play a different race than nord? Like you're the most op known person in the area and some random dude calls you "cat" with that sassy tone of voice.
He can be even better, though there's a mod that makes him essential (boo) but actually able to help in combat (I use the combat suited file which outfits him in ebony)
I always travelled with the Jemane twins. I loved how annoying they were, striking up conversations with everyone. And how much the drunk one absolutely hated me no matter what I did (I played on xbox).
Quick question, did the adoring fan drink the hist sap, too? If not he was just watching you and the fighter's guild kill a village of innocent people and smiling. Kinda sus
No, Megamind Dude just drank Skooma and still killed them all while the Adoring Fan watched and admired him. In his defense, we were infiltrating the Blackwood Company, so it was acceptable to let me kill unarmed civilians that he knew were unarmed civilians. :))
I’ve tried this challenge before. I ended up cheesing it and just giving him a bunch of health. Then I tried to see if I could make him fight by setting his aggression higher, but that didn’t really seem to work.
@@ThatsCoolDude Oh no, I might have to try that. Its still odd that messing with his aggression didn't seem to do anything. I set Martin's aggression higher and he became a psychopath and I was in tears from it.
You are forgetting that it is his confidence stat is what makes him willing to fight or not . His by default is low so he will always run away. Use rally on him or use the console to set his confidence to 100 so he won't back down
By Azura, by Azura, by Azura! It's the Grand Champion! I can't believe it's you, standing here, next to... me. Can I, can I carry your things? Shine your boots? Backrub, perhaps?
3:00 I completely lost it. XD Our guy looks very fetching in his new helmet! The character I'm playing as right now always wears it, and since she's a stick-thin dark elf chick it makes her look like her head is several times too big for her body. She's going to develop some pretty serious neck problems if she keeps this up.
@7:35 It's charming to headcanon that the Adoring Fan is one of the most straight-arrow, well-informed, and sane Wood Elves in all of Cyrodiil, when they aren't gushing over the Grand Champion. Everyone needs something to be a fan of.
“The Feral Squadron” I think would have suited you better 😂 Edit: 9:45 I literally stood and waited for 30 minutes when doing this quest because he wouldn’t move from that spot 😂
You are so underrated and these videos are edited so well. Every time you were in the middle of a quest, conversation or battle and panned over to the Adoring Fan, his thousand-yard stare killed me.
No idea which two words you're talking about or whatever, but Maglit is the second laziest Bosmer I've ever met, behind maybe that jeweler Bosmer is Valenwood who made the suicide necklace. Or ring.
omfg when you zoomed in on Oreyn's face when he said "the little fetcher!" I spit my drink out. My dog was looking at me like wtf is going on are you dying?
Those pressure plate traps in the Ayleid ruins are awful when you have followers with you. They’re just guaranteed to die. Like the one guy from the mage’s guild.
The torch is pretty much the only good thing about him if your playstyle matches. Also when he starts running when you don't see why, but that's rather highly debatable.
5:44 Stuff of nightmares I remember the one time I was like "ok follow me dude I can use a meat shield" he died I went about my business...and out of nowhere he came back and started following me. I dunno if I reloaded an old save or if he really is just that creepy.
i started a new oblivion playthrough inspired by this video. the adoring fan follows me everywhere. it has enhanced gameplay about 8000x, i think in part because i equipped him with the amulet of kings and i’ve made it my sworn duty to protect the TRUE septim heir. thank you for changing oblivion and also the fate of cyrodiil. forever.
To be fair, the little blond elf asked for it. He greets with: "Wow! You're the Grand Champion! I saw your fight against the Gray Prince! You're the best! Can I... Can I follow you around? I won't get in the way!" And if you agree, he replies: "Golly, you're the best! I'm going to follow you and watch you and worship the ground you walk on! Let's go!" He's a bit weak on the worshipping part, but otherwise, he gets exactly what he wanted.
So, this isn't exactly 100% confirmed, but it's highly speculated/believed that "The Adoring Fan" is actually Cicero in disguise. He says something like "I plated the roll of an obsessed fan to gain the trust of the champion of the arena in Cerodil." So that might also imply that Cicero killed The Hero of Kavach.
I'm curious. I've never personally played oblivion but watched it played. Do you get the oppurtunity for followers like in Skyrim? And if so can you give them armor and equipment? Essentially what I am asking is if the adoring fan is a follower and if you can give him armor and weapons?
When you use up all of your fatigue by jumping or fighting and then the Skooma effect disappears, you lose the fatigue effect from Skooma (fortify strength) , thus resulting in negative fatigue!
