Maybe you could add an old classic ocean liner converted into a hotel like the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. Would work well on the other side to the terminal with a manmade rock jetty surrounding it

2.20 when you unlock the road attached to these ferries/harbors, unlock it using network mutitool, put your desired road, and then re lock it again with the same tool so that it doesn't break

When you place building that already have roads, if you change the road unlock it using on of the Network Multitool functions, but don't forget to LOCK it after the fact (which I think also means that you can't change the shape of the road, only the type)

Hey two dollars, you might really want to consider a downtown bus terminal. Miami had metrobus, a de facto BRT system, for a while now. In the 80’s, it was a pretty large scale bus network with low frequency busses providing really great coverage. there were a surprising amount of busses, it wasn’t until the 90’s and early 2000’s that public transportation in Miami reached its lowest and started to climb back up.

Would love to see you add Stiltisville out in Biscayne, or in this case Sunset Bay. It's a Miami landmark and it'll make for some beautiful cinematics.

When you have a sudden crowd of people getting off public transport, don't underestimate the power of pedestrian bridges. A crosswalk is easier, sure, but by using a bridge to the bus terminals, you don't cause a traffic jam between the arriving busses, and the crowd of pedestrians already waiting at the platforms.

Loved stumbling upon this 😊 I lived in south beach (Miami Beach) for 12 years and I miss it every day.

I've completely abandoned my original plan to make a tourist city. I just seem to have so many issues. - Cruise ships pulling into the port very erratic and clipping through each other. - airplanes taking off and landing very erratic and clipping through each other - huge masses of people suddenly entering the city creating strange traffic problems - tourists aimlessly wondering around and filling up parking lots - masses of cars all following each other to a specific intersection, completely stopping for multiple seconds and then disappearing. - taxi cabs making a huge que outside a train station to pick up the endless line of people waiting for taxis. some of these transport hubs seemed to make my city do weird things with the traffic and tourists ability to "leave the city". i use a lot of the same mods but nothing really seemed to fix the problems. my conclusion is im building an american suburb in Socal, I've made massive realistic highways and plan to have a lot of cars so im basically forcing people to drive cars and keep most of my population local.

Sunset City neighborhoods can be like this: Coconut Grove = Palm Grove Design District + Wynwood = Hermes District Edgewater + Morningside = Marina Liberty City = Empire Square Upper East Side = Bayview Heights Allapattah = Calusa Brickell = Kingsrow Coral Way = Coral City/Reef City Flagami + West Flager + Little Havana = Little Havana or Hispanic City/Sunset South Beach = Ocean Beach Mid Beach = Sunset Vista North Beach = Sunset Point

Just as a suggestion: I think it would be cool to have like some research lab/facility like umbrella corp from Resident Evil or humane labs from gta 5 somewhere maybe away from the main city that conducts experiments. Maybe they dump toxic waste or run tests on eco systems or run inhumane experiments on people. Maybe they sell chemicals to the Fab Soda Company that makes people addicted to the drink- it’s up to you. Maybe they are the head company or mother company of a toy manufacturer that produces a toy that spies on people to gather information- again it’s up to you! With that said I love what you have shaped sunset city into and I look forward for what you have planned for it in the future, keep up the great work! :)

Honestly, I think one Highway (bridge) Connection to Sunset city would make a ton of sense! as having to rely on boats or planes just to visit the city doesn't make too much sense unless the island is wayyyy out in the ocean. i think it would be nicer too! as its still part of the US, a lot of ambitious projects were developed to connect far / remote places (for example the train line to key west) 6:16 also I am not quite sure if a walking tour of parking lots, huge bland skyscrapers along a six lane road with barely any sidewalks is a good idea. i mean miami is car dependent but even for miami thats not that great

actually tourist busses are wery good! in my city it even makes a positive profit! the thing is that you should make all its route go through the dark purple areas in tourist map (not only bus stops ! ! !). It is better to see it as an attractions of some sorte, which just uses high tourist attraction zones and not as a some other type of transport which just transfer tourist to their point of interest

an “NFL” team would be awesome. American Football is huge in the US (obviously lol) and Miami’s 84’ and ‘85 Dolphins are some of the most popular teams in the league’s history. A 80’s appropriate stadium like Hard Rock might be hard to detail; but if anyone could do it, it’s you for sure

Love this series! Great detail. It could be cool to see a tourist bar/restaurant/shops strip trap! Street performers etc, along the beach with tour touts , you can have the son or daughter doing the selling for a swamp boat ride around the swamps and marches that are done by the kids dads. They could live out near the swamp, respectable family in an older family home left from colonial times or something who have had to make money this way now.

I use the sightseeing tour buses in my cities regularly. They work perfectly fine for me! Place stops at tourist spots :)

I make Taxis work really good in my cities by have multiple depot's around in different places and many cims use them... Great work as always...

I had the same issue with the functionality of my cruise terminals or my freight ships. I believe the problem is using move it on the building after placing the building. I got around it by placing the blank dock asset version and hissing it under a building.

Place the Sightseeing Bus stops directly next to parks/unique buildings/other attractions that have in game attractiveness and people will use them!

I think Sunset City looks like a tropical paradise! I would have loved to travel there if i could.

idk if you've gotten a name for the university yet, but I just came up with "Seminal State University - Sunset Campus", suggesting that Seminal State Uni. is part of a larger education chain, spreading to other cities in the state of Seminal. Another one that doesn't sound as technical could be just Sunset University. Either sound pretty cool, just one is more subject to Sunset city, and the other is more open to other cities in the state.

I think a double decker bus is ok for a tourist scenic bus. Also, the hotel can be a historic haunted hotel. 😊

I think to increase tourism and continue your stadium district, a dual use stadium might be be cool. Baseball/football stadiums were super common in the 80s, and a good reference would be the old marlins and dolphins stadium.

Fun fact, there is an old London bus in Miami (or used to be) sat outside a dive bar/venue called Churchill's

I've noticed a lot of your transport networks are still showing up. Ferries and cruise ships. Maybe that's why your cruise ships aren't showing up regularly. You may have to go to your ships tab thwn click on move it and delete those extra ship and ferry networks.

I have an idea of where the King Buns could go. Maybe off the side of an inerstate there is a gas station-king buns complex.

All those asking, I think it’s safe to now call Oceania dead… one episode in the last 6 months.

anybody know why the knew Harbor-Bus Hub ports with 2 docks + 5 bus lanes, only ever use one dock? Or know a trick to get them to use both. I have 2 of them close together, and a path going past with traffic coming from both directions and more than enough traffic that you'd expect both to be used. Instead they just que up at the right hand dock for each of them.

When you change a building's access road and it breaks it, you can solve it by unlocking and then locking again the road

Did you re-lock roads when customizing your station? Also the recent content creator pack has a bunch of bugged harbors; maybe this issue is more fundamental and all harbors are kinda bugged in certain circumstances?

Just wanted to point out, having underground tunnels and whatnot wouldn't be too realistic for Miami. It is rare, if even possible, to find anything underground here due to the little elevation from the ocean.

I can't be sure, but you might be waiting for 2000 people to board a cruise ship only to pass by your stops, rather than to visit. I think you can disable non-visiting traffic and hopefully that will speed up your cruise ship tourists. :)
