Vis, baby, you could've checked your beaches again after you came from the first Kapp'n island lol the shells usually reset after you leave the island, I know because I'm always collecting them because my gf loves the mermaid/shell furniture lol
More also randomly spawn every so often as more shells wash up on the beach. It does take a while for them to come back but it's better than spending NMTs for them.
Talking about how in older games your neighbors were random and could randomly move out has reminded me of a funny story when I was like 12.... In Let's Go To The City I had Wart Jr. (His Spanish name is Saponcio) and I hated him because I thought he could give irl me a wart. One day he moved out without me knowing and Jack (His Spanish name is Soponcio) was in town to talk about Halloween. And my dyslexic stupid ass read Jack's name as Warts Jr. and thought Wart Jr. died and his ghost came to town to haunt me for being mean to him...💀
@@niicespiice Jack's name in Spanish literally translates to "fainting" (but it'a a really old and not really used word) and Wart Jr.'s name is basically a mix between Sapo (Toad) and -oncio a suffix used in some names.😅

speaking of that one villager you hate from old games: i've had beef with rod for YEARS yeah whatever he's ""cute"" but he also moved in ON TOP OF MY CAREFULLY CURATED BLACK ROSE GARDEN. he walked into my acnl town, looked at ALL that free real estate and went you know what. i don't just want to move in right on this person's doorstep. that's not good enough. i need to move into their BACK GARDEN and wreck it in the process. #1 enemy whenever i see him in acnh it's On Sight
I agree that villagers should send the recipes directly to your phone, but if we’re doing the whole phone thing and friendship levels are a thing, I think there should be a function in the game where, at a certain friendship level, a villager will ask for your contact information so they can send you recipes and so you can summon them to hang out. Just rambling and riffin ideas for the next game.
I have beef with Chai!!! When I first got the amiibo cards I was excited to see her. I love elephants and the fact that she has a teacup on her head was cute because my island is called Wonderland. I was excited for her to move to my island, but that changed. She dissed my outfit and made two of my favorites villagers cry. Chai, we could have been besties.
YES!! When I played City Folk as an 8 year old, I HATED Maelle because every since she moved nextdoor to me, she was so rude and mean to me. And I was upset because no matter how many times I complained to city hall or planted pitfalls outside her house, she wouldn't leave. I have beef with her to this day. Most of my favorite villagers are also from my City Folk town, like my other neighbor Genji.
Marlo is the business manager on my National Park Island- Blasties- and he has a very raspy voice in my mind. Sounding a lot like Mr Brando in the Godfather. He 'handles' things, but the rest of my island -much like myself- is pretty naive and just assumes he's on the up and up. Nothing seems amiss so we go with it.

As far as villagers older AC players have beef with, as someone who has been playing since Wild World... Patty and Tipper are my enemies. I don't even remember why I hate them both, I just know they upset me as a child and I haven't forgiven them for it. Interestingly, it's thanks to Wild World that I like crankies like Kabuki. It started with Angus. When villagers got sick back then, they'd be sick for multiple days. One day when I brought Angus medicine he cried and said he didn't deserve friends like me. From that moment on, crankies became my favorites. Angus was my valentine and he sent me rare hybrid flowers he had grown. When I had Kabuki, he once pinged me while wearing one of my old designs I had made back then. He told me he was a fan of my work. For my birthday, he brought me presents. Crankies warming up to me is why I love those older games. Patty and Tipper though? They can eat glass.

The shells.. oh god the shells. I bought punchys amiibo cuz he’s been a dreamie of mine for a while and when I invited him for the first time what did he want?? A shell fountain. That requires 5 GIANT CLAMS And it took forever to get it together. And then I eventually reset. And I invited him onto my next island. And once again.. the curse of the shell fountain. So now whenever I invite him I make sure to have 5 giant clams ready 💀

YES, PAULA HAUNTS ME IN NEW LEAF!!! She was there in my original town, and when I reset, who was first to move in? PAULA. She knows what I did, and she'll remind me every time I see her what I did before. She has it out for me, and of course, she moved in RIGHT NEXT TO MY HOUSE. I need this girl to leave and she won't. Somebody please come get her.
True Animal Crossing fan here when you talked about your experience of this franchise. I got into it because of New Horizons. And of course because of Covid, it got popular. That is the main reason why it's number 2 of the best selling game.

I find it hard to believe the new console will launch with a new Animal Crossing game because 1. it feels too soon and 2. New Horizons graphics don’t feel outdated at all (the way the New Leaf ones do nowadays), the graphics feel modern. I don’t see Nintendo investing in a whole new game so soon, maybe a DLC would make more sense?
To me the random villager that I hate is Eloise and Paula. They both picked plots in places that comoletwly messed up my island, one was kn gronf of a bridge and the other one was in front of the incline that leads to the beach and they simoly would NEVER LEAAAVEEE
sylvia was a Bitch to me in new leaf and I have kept the grudge. on the other hand, I love villagers like spork, jacques, rory, and anicotti because they were random move-ins in new leaf! probably wouldn’t have picked most of them if I had the choice, but since I didn’t I ended up liking new villagers! imagine if in new horizons, the villager dialogue when you first meet them on a nook miles island or in the campsite wasn’t extremely repetitive. even an addition like the possibility that a villager will be mean to you when you first meet them could influence your decision-making and make choosing more fun. I still wouldn’t love being able to choose personally, but it would be Something

when i was little, i would religiously play animal crossing wild world. All of the villagers were so rude and mean, EXCEPT for Boone. he was so nice to me. So I’ve always loved Boone. Whenever I see new fans say they hate him cause he’s “ugly” it makes me mad.

I think picking villagers based solely off of aesthetics is also pretty boring. Currently working on a long-term island, where my goal is to fully complete the museum before I delete it (It'll also be the first island where I can upload a dream address, cuz I haven't had Switch Online until this year, so I'll be doing that) and I always just kinda grab villagers based off of vibes. Of course I have some of my absolute favorites that would be really hard to refuse (Teddy, Ankha, Octavian) but the only one that I adored based solely off of looks was Ankha, and that's not even cuz she was cute, it's cuz she was an Egyptian cat. Everyone else that I came to know and love was either grabs I picked up just because or I was stuck with them for a while and grew to love them. And I find it more fun that way. My Halloween Island, where I was trying to stick on theme, I gave up on before I got to 5 stars because I was bored. And I love the Halloween decorations, they are fantastic. But nothing that interesting was going on. Meanwhile on my current island I have Zoe and Pongo, and while neither fit my theme at all they just help create a bit of drama and interest (those two are gossiping besties, and I love them, lol). So.. yeah it's just fun grabbing random people based off how your mood (or even completely random) and just see how it goes for a while, at least to me.
OK so it’s a little funny how I started doing this on my island and then my iPad just immediately put this video on my recommendation because it somehow knew that I’m doing the same thing😂 lol😊
