I Found a Twin Engine Nitro RC Monster Truck Will It Run? 

Dude that's one of the Holy Grails of nitro history! That the Giga crusher and the Ofna Twin Titan are like the trinity of twin Nitro's. Wow what an awesome find! I usually pop the head and remove the carb and drop some nitro fuel in and clean those old motors to look almost new before lighting the candle on them but whatever works.

I'll be honest. But I think the twin rc vehicles are making a comeback. 😂 Working on a twin savage.

That HotBodies Lighting GTX2 is going to be a blast. I used to have one. Man, I miss the late '90s and early 2000s nitro boom with twin engine everything. I have a twin 4-stroke Saito FG-11 engine in my Nitro Kyosho USA1. It's a beast as well.

Introduced by Hot Bodies circa 2005, the 4WD Lightning GTX2 Truck - # HB 55008 - came RTR with 2 x 26 engines and radio system. The model is shaft driven, on an alloy plate chassis, with gear type differentials, 8 x coil spring over oil filled dampers, rear anti roll bars, dogbone drive-shafts and a full set of ball bearings

ive got one of these twin engined beast's exactly the same one they really go well very fast seriously you will be shocked how fast these are.BUT they drink nitro fuel

Hmm... some reason I cant post comments, on my other account anyway. There has been plenty of them twin nitro engine trucks on ebay over the decades. Lots of them were home made from HPI Savages. The originals are these monsters: Koysho Giga Crusher Dual Force, OFNA Twin Titan or Twin Zilla some called it. What you have there is indeed a very, very Rare!! Monster! Original body & no mods congratulations! It's exactly what it says on the shell: Hot Bodies Lightning GTX2 Hot bodies are now known as HB Racing & owned by HPI the dual engines should be .26 center gear is 50T I think. They sold with a roto start & a HPI style transmitter. With your knowledge of nitro you shouldn't have any issues with getting the engines to synchronize. Welcome to rare owners club.

Use a lighter to sing the fiber strings on your gloves, also light around where you cut them, it will prevent strings from coming out.

they pop up on ebay time to time they sell running for 700-1ooo$ dollar range yup most people mod to charge on the out side its easier then taking apart every time to charge a hot bodys twin titan.

Beside the binding... That thing is bloody clean ma dude... Oh and the jelly.. buuuut we can over look that one with a good flush :).. 9 times out of 10 a pull down and clean with a soft bristle will have them crank first glow almost always :) re did 3 last year in 2 hrs for a mate of mine.. just so he could prove his dad wrong haha.. I reckon his dad just did what motivated him but what ever I got to play with some history and he got working cars and I got a buddy to drive with and his dad was able to enjoy the cars too haha 😁🤟

Dude that thing is over 5hp of insanity. I think it came out in 2003. I remember wanting one. They showed it with the throttle pinned and it has power out the yang. It was the first nitro i saw that made all four wheels looking like pizza's. You are super lucky because its clean as a whistle. It shouldnt take much to get that thing ripping again. You gotta give me a ball paek of what you paid for it. I bet you got it for a song too as obviously he hasnt used it much if at all. Cheers from Canada!

And very reliable Distributed by kyosho and only been over passed by the Tamiya TnX 5.2, an awesome Monster truck, the best in all nitros

Nice find 👌 I've seen these years ago, I've seen the T Maxx dual nitro like this also, They were crazy fast especially 25yrs ago...We raced the single motor trucks just like this one and the T Maxx, It was so much fun racing 10 of these at a time, They were biggest trucks I had ever seen, Can't wait to see it ripping ✌️

I had one of these and loved it bought it new really regret selling mine but needed space as with rthe fact and was heavily into gas and have 6running and 3 in bits mine was perfect when I sold it, it could be a pig to start and get it running right everytime I went out with it hour to get it started and at least another hour getting it to run right, I put a 2-4 in my one as range was rubbish, had to swap the servos to digital as they were so slow.

Twin engines were fun speaking of big engine monster trucks.. how about the thunger tiger EK 4 with the 70 cc heicoptor motor.

Thats sure cool find i wood trade a car or 2 for that more for a collection iam have some old monsters like losi lst xxl2 with the optional upgrade kit old emaxx in long and short wheel base gas and some other monsters but this was always on my list to get and o happens to come across your video depending what u plan for it and iam not close sounds like but id be very interested in it if anything if reasonable on possible sell. Some suggestion id give those motors good cleaning inside and out sure theres old fluid that hase those bearings clogged and sure hate to see it messed up I used to fill with wd40 through carb and let sit few days .

Now this makes me want to replace the seized engine ony Kyosho Burns and get that running again. Hasn't run in almost 25 years!

The pistons can stick at TDC after running , they stick at the pinch point , then cool down and stick when you run a nitro after you have done the engine flush out they need to be left with the pistons down the cylinder , I've just rescued a 4tec 3.3 that had been stuck for ten years and left under a bed , used once and put away , it's like new what a fined for me lol , good luck with that truck it looks good mate 🇬🇧

Had a lightning gtx2 as a kid, and it was a power house. It was pretty tricky to get both engines tuned just right so they weren't fighting each other, tho. Just sold mine last year that sat around in my garage for 15 years. It was always next to impossible to get certain parts for it. Always had to get lucky or find parts in other kits.

Two nitro engines means you gotta work twice as hard maintaining. Not for me. Although, I never seen two different engines on a nitro car. Example, a nova and a Lrp 32? Fastrax .21 and Hobao .30? Mismatch That be a fun experiments.

I got 4 giga crushers and just picked up a used hotbodies twin. The HB is well built except for the flimsy ass suspension. Almost laughable. Everything else about is is super heavy and well built

Not one but 2 nitro engines to tune i cant even tune one or even get it to stay idling

Hi there currently I’m struggling to get my nitro car running, it runs where I put fuel in the carburettor and it dies out within 5 seconds I try to keep the revs up but it still dies out I have cleaned the carburettor and it still does this any help would be much appreciated thank you
