What a nice place to see great trains. Your lucky. I'm not sure if it was the Queens mom and King Edward, that was on that train in the past? Thanks for the video.
Absolute thing of beauty! And that money shot of it with the mountains in the background. Sure reminded me of the mountain a certain someone has featured on his channel. Safe travels, Jeff Hanna.
I heard something, I thought it was just a big rig trying to ascend the hill, but no, I immediately stepped away from my crispy duck and grabbed my camera, lol.
No reason to weather your locomotives if they look like that in flesh and the real. Somehow you never get any on your shoes when you step in it, lol. Great catch and iPhone video, Jersey Bill
Hi Dave ….right place right time and an amazing video in an amazing place. Hoping you and Ailsa are having / have had a great holiday thanks for sharing. Regards Tom
I believe these same units came down to the CP/Soo Line's Bensenville yard about 10 or so years ago (2014) when I was still working as a locomotive engineer there. Nope, didn't get a chance to run them!
Great to see you in the feed Dave 👍That BC Rail engine brought back a lot of memories from when we lived in Squamish. Never seen any CP trains with those colors before. Best days to you and all yours !
I'm so jealous of how green it is in that part of Canada. Here in Idaho we have been plagued with terrible wildfires where almost every recreation area has been burned. Even the mountain in the valley I live in is completely blackened.
We did venture up towards Jasper, and the devastation from the wildfires was so incredibly sad. It will be many years before the beauty of that areas is restored.
Officially, they no longer are a passenger hauling railway, though some passenger services run on their lines. They gave up intercity passenger services to VIA Rail in the same way that most American common carriers gave up their intercity passenger services to Amtrak.
