Usagi Yojimbo is a great story! I had many of the book size trade paperbacks, and I got 1 signed and sketched by Stan Sakai many years ago at the San Diego Comic Con (when Image Comics was brand new.) Nobody really came to his booth, he signed and sketched for free too! Stan was the nicest, coolest comic storyteller and artist I met at that con.

Seeing that video made me remember co-owner of shop in latter 1980s putting a Hulk #1 in VF+ condition in display rack on wall..a young guy came in shop and somehow climbed up on comic box racks so he could reach the Hulk #1...open the bag and snagged the book on tape, tearing chunk out of top cover...clerk was apparently not watching ....told partner at least he didnt put the Amazing Fantasy #15 up there...those chew marks are from weevils/silverfish eating paper in storage. Nice books in store...you would have loved searching in 1970s and 1980s....

As l recall that wasn't Sif...that was Jane Foster.. because Thor wanted to marry her Odin turns her into a Goddess. However, she is afraid of the ability to fly, so Odin tells Thor she is not worthy of being a Goddess so he turns her back to a human.

Those are some great Thor silver age books. The conditions are fantastic. Gratz on your purchase.

Pardon my possible redundancy as someone here likely mentioned. At the 20:16 mark of Thor #136, Jane Foster becomes an Immortal. Ultimately, she couldn't pass the test so, a no go. This was long before Jane actually became Thor! Very nice haul.

I'm a huge Groo and Usagi Yojimbo fan. When I saw that Usagi #1 in that case. I was like man, is he gonna say anything about that book sitting in there? Only to see that you had picked it up in the end. Nice Pick up. I just made a trade this summer and have a CGC 9.4 in the PC now.

I'm like that with most everything I buy. Don't bend the pages, don't touch the coin, etc. Condition is everything with collectibles. Some sellers just care about the cash their getting and not what the item means to us.

I was at that place a couple of months ago. Picked up some books as well with a very similar experience. After they unlocked the case they stood there watching me like a hawk. I felt very rushed and like I was bothering them. They must've had theft problems in the past.

The Usagi has a full length color breaking spine crease along the cover fold. I think that was normal with that cover. I hate to see it though.

Love the Thor books I know for issue 127 I paid $90.00 Canadian.

Crossed is a great post apocalyptic horror comic. It’s extremely violent and not for the faint of heart. It’s hit or miss at times but it’s great nonetheless. Definitely not for everyone.
