Lmao in Mycareer they took away all coaching controls so I watched klay go for 50 running around the same picks all game & couldn’t make any adjustments bc I have a Center build who’s opponent was always conveniently on the other side of the court.
I can understand your perspective if you just want the VC bonus and dont care for the career aspect than it makes sense..i tried doing it that way but HOF literally buffs the computer and nerfs the user i think the most realistic difficulty where you can still hit your shots and have competitive gameplay is Superstar or maybe All Star depending on your overall if you a 90+ superstars is the sweet spot if you are 80+ all star is the sweet spot

It’s more nefarious than that. Remember your teammates are also AI’s just like your opponent and therefore are a part of the algorithm of 2k. It may seem at first glance that they are just dumb or making bad decisions but they are 100% doing it on purpose. When it’s time for the opponent to go on a scripted run they will intentionally run behind a defender when you pass the ball to them wide open in order to trap you into a nonsensical turnover, move closer to defenders off ball for no reason, clog the paint so you can’t drive even if you call iso, crowd you when your handling the ball or stand in your hot spots refusing to move, refuse to pass you the ball on fast breaks until the opposing defense catches up (then drop your teammate grade for asking for it) ,take horrible shots on purpose just to give the ball back to the other team, and foul on every basket drive unnecessarily even if you have him completely clamped(pretending to play defense). Or completely leave the best shooter on the other team wide open on purpose multiple times in a row to double a guy with 0 points. Half of the time they are sabotaging you and basically playing for the other team.

The thing i hate about HOF for My career is more based around why does my teammates start sucking so much where it feels like im playing with the worst scrubs Missed layups,missed open shots and to win i need to score like 40-50 points And have like 10-15 assists and 10 rebounds and 4 steals

This year's mycareer feels awful on HOF. I get only 300 more VC than I would on rookie obtaining similar stats, the computer doesn't need to time their shots and they can knock down shots on any contest. They need to adjust those sliders AND increase the rewards. I remember on Old Gen in previous games I could gain around 2.5K VC per game with minimal effort, while this year I can get 1.6k max...
the rec not having a report system is horrid, mfs can sit out of bounds and the worst that'll happen is they get kicked and can't play for like 20 mins.. dont know how that isnt a thing
The reason they made the HOF like that is because their AI is so bad they can’t make a cpu be competitive and realistic at the same time and instead have to stick the odds in the cpu favor to make it competitive. If you ever played the old 2k’s 2k11-2k13 you would know how much they would cheat on HOF, the cpu made every damn shot you had to play perfectly to win. In 23 I would blow the cpu out every game in my career, and the reason for that is the cpu could not make contested shots even just slightly contest shots and they would miss teams would shooting around 35% against me on average. I actually like the change they made to the sliders but I think they should of lowered shot contest impact for user as well, nba players make tough shots simple.
The AI isn't bad we're just humans that learn patterns so we know how they react everytime. AI in 24 is way better than 23 but making them perfect is the only counter to that. Only thing that would make it better is make the CPU coach matter and have him change the defensive and offensive sets to give you different looks.
@@Ac3Badger that’s the point lol the AI doesn’t adjust at all on defense and run good sets. The reason it’s so easy is because the ai does the same thing the whole game no matter what. The AI is dumb they can have an open lane but since they are running a play they will not take the lane and will just stand there and wait which is why you can just play off ball and get steals.

step a few steps back from the 3. It's an island. Set the screens & go to work. But if you are trying to sig into a stepback you need to be closer to the 3. This game is weird af. Because my limitless refuses to work past 3 steps back
What bothers me is how they manage to double and triple team you, but somehow make it all the way back to their man in lightning speed when you exploit the double team like they have superhuman speed, even the Centers.

@@LaidBack-- dude I play this game everyday. At 8 points even if you take 2 steps back from the 3 they will be up close like they trying to kiss you. You won't get doubled until you go to the 3. You hold Y to the teammate left open. It works literally every time. I get 15 assists alone off that
dont just look at the slider. a 75 overall cpu with no shooting badges can green 60% coverage in your face. I have 94 3 point rating with hof open look, gold catch and shoot gold blinder and deadeye but I cant make every wide open shot even with shooting takeover. 2k23 hall of fame was quite balance and they messed up 2k24.
I wish raising the difficulty meant the cpu will utilize all of the advance moves in the game (dribbling, post moves, spin jumpers, switching hand layups etc). Basically playing saucy in all aspects. But in 2k raising the difficulty just mean the opposing cpu would teleport through your body more, the ball teleporting though your hand when attempting to block, they can make shots your cpu teammates cant make. And they make your cpu teammates extremely stupid lol
You also need to save and load those settings after your adjustment because 2k will place them back to their default settings. I noticed that about 2 weeks ago.
I've just read that 2k supposed to get a defensive update and another one next month. It's funny how fast they're patching that problem hours after all of us talked about it.

They should allow you to change the sliders on your mycareer, especially if you are just playing NBA games. There are people in the community who test all the sliders and Adjust it to the point it feels realistic - makes NBA league so much more fun, would love it to do that for myplayer as well or i will just play on All Star or Superstar difficulty lol
ppl gonna sit and grind vc against bots , they afraid of it . i mean ppl do sit and grind vc on pro , but with hallofpain vc multiplier they gonna do it more and faster . thats why sliders not allowed, u better BUY vc instead of playing mycareer with your sliders - thats their(2k) lowkey point of view
@@hiramclarkebeats4295 idk I can see them doing what FIFA does even though you could change the sliders of the harder difficulty, the exact same sliders on an easier difficulty will be easier than putting those same sliders on the hardest difficulty because the AI is smarter if 2k took the time to work on their AI to make them smarter I truly believe it could work introducing sliders to my player and people at the end of the day will still want to play online because of just the competitive nature of gamers wanting to be better than other human players lol

I was complaining about the same thing a few hours ago, I knew something was weird about the sliders for HOF. The cpu was making shots they’ve never made before. Im glad somebody did the research and called it out. I thought it was just me that felt something wasn’t right.
While you're missing wide open shots over and over again with premier shooters that they wouldn't miss consistently like they make it seem. What's the point of playing with GS if you're going to make Steph and Klay miss 70% of their open shots almost every game just to keep the CPU " competitive".

Great video and points made in the video. Your take(s) are valid when it comes to how you want the game to play. Regardless of whether people agree or disagree. I’m trying to find the best way to join the discussion because I’m 50/50 on what you’re saying. Yes, the CPU does make some 100% contested shots (in the video game world) they probably shouldn’t. But I would make the case that NBA players also do make those types of shots in the real world (or at least it’s possible). We can also agree those shots aren’t made consistently, as well as you see the CPU miss easy shots. When you make it where contest percentage equals make or miss meaning (100% contest always misses) it makes the game predictable. Which IMO is just as unrealistic as “greening” shots. 2K has conditioned the user to believe if they have a “perfect” input then a specific thing should happen the same way every single time. That's bad logic when it comes to sports and video games. Especially when there are so many variables in place. Contested shots and ball security are made that way (IMO) to put the AI on an even playing field with the human. The AI is smarter but not smart enough to understand what’s going on, on the floor at times. It's been times when a 2nd or 3rd option is wide open for a shot and doesn't take it, because they are in the middle of running a specific play, or it's not in their tendencies. 2K hasn’t developed AI to make it realistic and challenging for the advanced/master user so they put these things in place instead.
The last time I paid full price for 2k was. 2k11 and on the Jordan challenges you had to beat the bad boys pistons and I tried to play it on hall of fame I tried to beat it 20 times and I figured it out you gotta foul out joe dumars and you can cook the bench so by the end of playing the game and joe dumars had 11 fouls and I lost by 1 I threw my controller at the Xbox and broke the game never have I let them have that much control over my emotions again now they going for the finances this is getting crazy
So guys... the shot timing impact set to 0, automatically sets shots to Real Player %...I tested this for the User...For example, if you play with the shot meter, and put the Shot Timing Impact slider to 0, the shot meter goes away, and automatically puts it on Real FG%. Meaning, it plays to the player's ratings and % of making particular shots. When set to 100, it means it more so based on the release timing, but still not 100% timing. Set below 50 and it more so is based on the player ratings along with some release timing. Hope clears up any confusion

This whole rant is pure facts, it’s just not fun to play like that, and lowering the difficulty in mycareer has me averaging 50 ppg as a rookie, so I have to pick unrealistic, or realistic but not fun 😂 and with the hands up thing I agree with it so much, I had a high block rating on one of my builds but the only way currently to really stop a shot is block it, and if I go to block a 3 pt shooter not only do I foul them but the majority of the time the ball goes in, and if I block them on the interior they get the ball back (somehow)
The funny thing is, when you begin to manipulate the sliders, the ai engine adapts to what you've changed. For example, if you zero out reaching fouls, they miraculously stop being point guard dominant and move the ball quickly because they know they can't get cheap reaching fouls anymore. Take away other fouls and watch them call anything and label it just "personal foul". The game is glaringly tilted toward the ai because they can't make the ai play smarter, they can only handicap the user.

bro, i know the pain. i got another 40 to 50 rage clips recorded of all the issues u just talked about. refs def favor the ai. lol, i got my first technical last night, trying to call a timeout so i could challenge an obvious bad call. the tech was for "excessive timeout" which was laughable. but the even more amusing part, because of the tech, i could no longer challenge the call. Also fyi, if u manage to get a successful challenge, you dont get a second challenge available. they havent implemented the new rule into the game, sadly.
What I usually do is I bring up the attributes to 70 and increase the shot tendencies for inside and outside shots postop and usually the computer goes at you a lot harder!

I had the lakers beat by 8 with 1:33 left in the game. Then out of nowhere "CONNECTING TO SERVER." Not only did i have to play the the whole game over, they was now undefeatable. Yes i quit and retried at least 5 times but there was nothing that could be done

The answer for the offline users that I did last year was raise the offensive and defensive awareness of the cpu. That made them play more realistic. Haven’t tried it this year but for what it’s worth, I play on hof until I can blow out the cpu consistently then go heavy into rec play. It’s annoying at times but at least my ai can hit wide open shots on gif as opposed to other years.
I have been having this issue I ply a lot of my era/ my nba and the cpu is unstoppable hitting jump shots , I noticed by tapping triangle instead of using the shot stick , you get better contests even if the feedback says the contest was nearly uncontested or even open. Triangle imo works better for contests. Still some bullshit shots that go in but better results than the stick which does nothing especially on players like dame and Kylie
another thing is the shot contest for the cpu is too high too i’ll have a wide open lane dunk and the let the cpu getting a contest from behind when they ALREADY BEAT and either make me miss or send me to the ft line

Last night I recorded myself playing opening night against the Pistons of all teams and they made me look silly on HOF. Now I did settle in a bit and make it a good game but I actually had to restart the first game because I had Isaiah Stewart hitting fadeaway 3’s and I was about to break every inanimate object in my room 😅, but I did not see this slider I just left everything default and now I know why I have to edit out a LOT of cussing in that vid! Hof should be where the AI iq is next level where you can’t make as many mistakes. Better ball movement defensive adjustments and more aggressiveness from star players
The thing is on 23 even a bad game would get you 20k my points at least. This year, you get as low as 9k for playing slightly bad. With 60% boost for HOF and 5% acceleration boost as well as other percentage. I found a great method on HOF for this 2k with an A+ team grade and still get as low as 30k. I once received 70k on 23 with a big man cuz of blocks and shots and finishes at the rim. The point system is garbage this year fasho
I thought we been knew this. I’ve seen this in the prior 2k’s for quite some time now. The higher the difficulty the more sliders gear toward the CPU and less to User.
Not “Shot timing impact”… That is a feature installed over the past 2 2K’s … I think it was introduced just last year (2K23). Nevertheless, he showed us the difference… Prior year it was set at 50/50, but this year it’s 0cpu/50user. That’s like the user turning his 3pt success to 100. That’s just cheating at that point. They want you frustrated, because that encourages you to buy vc

I feel like it’s manageable on MyCareer, but absolutely infuriating in normal 5 v 5 modes. The worst players make the craziest shots, and almost every shot they take is guaranteed to either go in or result in a foul shot. Meanwhile I’m trying to learn the starting five’s shot animations🤦🏻♂️.

Every time the computer takes those contested buzzer beater 3 whether is for the game or at the end of a quarter, they always make it. I had Giannis 100% contesting a 3 from Pat Beverly and it went in all net. It’s ridiculous
Bro this is literally nothing new it's always been like this. The only difference in difficulties for years now has been the sliders, the cpu doesn't play smarter on hall of fame vs rookie, they just have more advantages from the sliders
@@MannyParadisee that’s because the shot timing impact slider was only introduced like 2-3 years ago, the cpu bricking every contested shot only became a thing around 2K20, if you’ve ever played 2k16 for example the cpu will routinely make insanely contested shots. Obviously I want the difficulty be AI based rather than sliders but let’s not pretend like that hasn’t always been the case
it's so bad bruh.... they gave up on how to make it difficult... they got lazy ideally the game becomes more difficult because the AI learns the user's play patterns more quickly and adjusts their pre-rotation, hedging, etc. to make your preferred options less potent but instead 2k just runs to impractical shotmaking for the CPU and your AI teammates lose the authenticity of their tendencies bro so glad you pointed this out
Im pretty sure Mike Wang said there is no green window on a 100% contested shot so the CPU in the clips is making shots that is literally impossible for you to make
It’s crazy how this year i finally told my friends HOF is the most unrealistic version of the game because 2K just turns the sliders up for the A.I to cheating levels even for bench riders
They always turned the Sliders up for each difficulty. Rookie is best for the player, and Hall of Fame is best for the CPU. I try to look for realistic slider sets to make sure everything is set right for realism more than arcade basketball.
I just wanna know, when are they gonna have ACTUAL FASTBREAKS??? I HATE 2K CAMERA but since EVERYBODY plays that way, I've adjusted. There is NO FAST BREAK in that camera!! Soon as they catch the ball momentum stops like they're not realizing 2 on 1 or why have MAGIC in the game and dudes aren't SHOWTIMING??
Lmao, bro I was playing myCareer & I went into the half up like 15 points against ja Morant. Went into the 4th up around the same amount, hit the bench at the 10min mark & came back into the game w/5mins left I noticed they were up like 12 points from being down like 12 (clearing 24 points against the Suns- which is insane). I noticed something was off about that. I goes & look at the scoring summary & noticed it was missing the play-by-play scoring on how they magically recovered 24 points while I rode the bench for 5mins. So I play the game 1 level below Hof (bc Hof is unrealistic) & had to cheese pick & roll to win the game. Playing the cpu on Hof is unplayable.
