This development is butted up against the middle of the bay bridge which has some of the worst bay area traffic. No Bart stop and only a bike path to Oakland. The wealth this development will bring to the island will surely bring improved public transportation to/from the island and more food options so I guess this is a good thing 🤷🏻♂️.
amazing views and glad to see some new cool housing on the island. taking an L on the high $1,400 HOA. Its a major Con to the pros. I rather have no "amenities" and have a $400 or less HOA. think I am with most people not being a fan of HOA fees
HOA is always a pain for any building. Can’t argue with that. BUT, for the set of amenities you get, it’s a lot less $$ than similar buildings downtown.
There’s no definitive availability / completion date yet announced by the developer but indication is leasing starts this year. You can register online and receive the announcement when it hits. islehousesf.com/#JoinUs
Luxury is wonderful but I want to see developers required to build some low income housing when building high profit residences. It’s badly needed - understatement.
they're required to as part of the building code. Every development has to have a certain percentage, and developers can trade away below market housing on one development and add it onto another. So it is happening! Between YBI and Treasure Island, 27% affordable out of the 8,000 units being built.
You mean, right next to the bridge with all the pollution and noise? And those boxy boring black and white units? Yeah, real luxury. Kinda vulgar and ignorant, fella.
