Man you must be the nicest metal detecting guy ever bring Good Vibes 2 everybody always look forward to seeing your videos when you going try one of them D2 machines out
Haha thank you!!!!! I'd like to try out the deus, but I really need to thin the metal detector herd in my collection before I acquire one. I'm so comfortable with the excal in the water, and the deus 1 on land, that I'd need some serious convincing to switch water machines. I've tried a number of others, but the excal is a rock star in the salt water
@@DetectFlorida yeah I got an Excel too all modded out been great I do have two coils that I'm not using if you have any interest I have a nel super fly used it one time Anna d-tech 13 in modified for the excal use the two times I'm going to sell this cuz I have the D2 now and I'm starting to like it
Great hunt and nice job on the silver. It would be nice to see a wrap up at the end with your finds all cleaned up. But I always look forward to your videos since you are one of the few that use an excal and knows it very well. I'd like to see how you perform with set of the Hydra-HPs. Is your headset wired direct into the end cap or do you use a connector on it?
Thanks! I stopped doing wrap-ups for evening hunts mainly because by the time I get back to my truck, its too dark. I'll start including them in future videos. Thanks for that! As far as the headphones go, mine are hardwired into the machine. I prefer to not have a connector on them. I have another excal that needs a new set of headphones. I wouldn't be opposed to trying something new
Love the videos but I have a question regarding the laws for metal detecting in Florida. From what I'm reading anything under the water is off limits. Am I mistaken or the law just isn't enforced? Anything you can tell me would be appreciated as I plan on being in Key West this summer and wanted to bring my own detector.
Its just not enforced on the majority of florida beaches. Police tend to look at it as a service to the community by removing all of the trash, fish hooks, and potential hazards in the water. I've spoken to a bunch of police officers at the beach over the years, and they usually just want to know if I found anything cool. Just stay clear from water hunting at state parks(unless permitted) and the water over on the treasure coast where only lease holders can search. Also, stay below the dune line. Not legal to hunt the dunes. A lot of protected native plants grow there, and they don't want anyone digging them up
