Revell Toys was Lew Glaser's earlier foray into the toy market, expanding from their making plastic containers for Revlon Cosmetics. Many model companies began making general plastic items for various industries.

Hey Matthew I just wanted to say that those revell 32 ford kits are excellent kits so many options and then so many spare parts and decals for the parts box I’ve built 3 of them so far of that same kit . Hopefully you’ll see this comment I watch your videos all the time I love when you show off the built kits you have PS: great haul

Rider’s Hobby Shop is located in Michigan. I’ve been to their Grand Rapids store many times.

Another interesting haul, particularly those really old small Revell Highway Pioneers models, the magazine articles and the Model A Fords, which do look better stock in these kits. Never heard of the Bearcats TV show either; it might have been a shortlived one.

I have just recently (the last two weeks) revisited eBay and found that the sellers seem more willing to make deals....a few seem a little too eager! lol

Bearcats was a series in 1971. My dad loved it, they played detectives back in pre WW1 days. But I guess the car was the star. If you look it up on IMDB, there were many that were stars in that time,(1970s)..

I think you should do a diorama with the Highway Pioners Or some of the old your historic cars. Daytona uses to be the racing trials. Ford Chevrolet and Dodge.

I have several issues of Scale Auto Modeler. Good magazine. In fact, I think I might have that issue. Michael's...the local (well, 25 miles away) store in Lancaster, CA hasn't carried model kits or supplies for many years. Once upon a time I bought some kits there. That Thoas Flyer, when I was a little kid, my family attended a Concours d' Elegance (fancy words for upscale car show) at Santa Anita Horse Race track. The Flyer was there. My folks were talking to the owner and I was checking the car out. The owner picked me up and set me in the driver's seat. Never bought the kit though. You mention Sears automobiles. An old family friend, Lindley Bothwell, was a citrus farmer in the San Fernando Valley. He founded the SunKist brand. On his farm, he had several barns that were filled with his car collection. Along with his Indy car that he raced in, last year with a riding mechanic, he had 2 Sears cars. Both from the 1890s. The farm was so big he had his own narrow gauge railway with a steam locomotive and 3 cars and a rail station with telegraph. In his collection he also had the personal railcars of the last 2 monarchs of Hawaii. The family still grows navel oranges on part of the original property. The land, if subdivided for homes, would be valued at a few million dollars per acre.

I picked up my Jag kit at my local Micheals. went back a few weeks later and zero kits. There's a company in Wales called Dapol that makes some very, very nice British model trains. Don't know if it's the same company. I have one of their steam locos and it's pretty amazzing.

I have gotten some good deals on eBay you just have to be patient for the right deal to drop to you.
