Sorry to hear. That stinks. I run into that sometimes here in Hawaii even though it’s a state (Can’t get Chase Business checking accounts for bonuses and some other fintechs)

How much has leveraging your 0% APR effected your utilization/rate of getting accepted for credit cards. (Basically dip in credit score). I am working on building up my credit card game. I know that you said you have been mainly doing this with the business accounts/cc’s so that it does not affect that. My credit between the different agencies is 750-800 with my inly downsides is length and hard inquiries. Thanks - would love to see a video more about APR and will likely be switching to this bank with some more research.

From my experience so far, it hasn’t affected me at all. I keep my personal credit utilization well under 10%. Since most of my utilization is on business cards, like you mentioned, it hasn’t shown up on my personal credit report. I was just approved for another business card (U.S. bank triple cash) in the last couple of weeks with a 10k limit despite the business having close to a 50k combined balance and at nearly 80% utilization. I’m just one data point though. I have over 14 years of credit history with 0 missed payments so that probably helps me a lot. I’m also in the 740-790 range depending on the agency. Thanks for the feedback! I’m working on a video for the best cards for 0% APR and how to strategize. Hoping to work it in soon!

I personally don’t like having all of the money I have sitting in a checking account, 1 thing I like about having a savings cause it’s not easily accessible if your card is stolen or hacked

Fair enough. For me, I don’t carry my debit card around for that reason.

Ha ha ha just reached the end of your video and subscribed 😅 no 🔪 I also use Wealthfront but not the Checking account, didn't realize that potential of having the Checking account with them, especially creating the buckets. Would suggest closing my WF Checking A/C if I have a WF CC?

Another great video. I’m very interested in this account. It’s one thing to get a high interest online savings account but to get a checking account like that is not that common…especially with no minimum balance or minimum direct deposit or limited transactions. One initial question…is there a limit on the number of “buckets” you are allowed to create?

Thanks man! I don’t think there are any limits on the categories/buckets. Another cool thing about them is the individual categories show up as separate accounts in budgeting software like YNAB and Rocket.

Do you know...can you order actual paper checks? I live in rural America and a lot of people/businesses only accept cash or checks.

@@teresahunt5521 When I opened my account, I did read that you can’t order paper checks directly from Wealthfront. But you can request Wealthfront to mail a check to someone. Interesting option. But I imagine you can order paper checks from an outside source. When I would order paper checks in the past, I would always order them from an outside source. Most of the time it was cheaper to do this than to order them directly from the bank.

For credit card debt payments during the 0% apr strategy do you still need to pay the minimum payment?

Yes, you’ll always need to make the minimum monthly payment to avoid a late fee and penalties. Usually it’s only $40ish dollars or 1% of the total balance (whichever is more) It’s definitely not worth doing if you don’t make the minimum payment
