I kind of miss your campfire meals that you used to make when you hiked and told your stories. I know a couple of people did not care for that, but hey it’s part of camping!

you've become not only my favorite big foot channel, but possibly my favorite over all channel.

I was coming back from Disneyland to Portland with family in 1958 via Lassen Park in a black new 1958 Ford. What I recall as a youth was when my brother and I stopped for a " pit stop" off the highway in the Park, and while doing our business in the woods off the road rocks started being thrown at us from a 30 foot rise. We thought there were kids throwing these in the woods above us, and yelled for them to cut it out. We returned to the car and my dad, a combat Navy Veteran of the Pacific War, and not one easily rattled, was excited and irritable said we had to leave, now! and as we drove away we shared our experience. He paused and said we had to leave quick as there were rattlesnakes close by. I never quite bought into that explanation. I've not thought of that moment since 1958, and your story about Lassen Park brought it all back Chris! Amazing.

The clincher with the foot print is how wide it is, great pictures by the way!

That would be kinda of cool to see the reaction of a real sasquatch ,looking at the carved squatch!

Hey Chris. I have an encounter from. 2010. I had fallen on hard times and was living in my truck in Manatee Campground which is in Titusville FL. This is a very populated area. I was up one evening and it was around 2 to 230 am . I was hanging around at my campsite playing my guitar and singing. This campground is directly across from Cape Kennedy , where rockets are launched. I noticed a blue orb flying into my area. I didn't pay it much attention. A few minutes later, I heard a high pitched " yodel" . Which is the best that I can describe it. I smelled a very rank skunk smell. It was horrible. So I wrapped up my performance and began to pack up my guitar and go to bed. This campground is right next to a mobile home park and every dog within earshot was going crazy. I went to bed and was laying there and I heard heavy footsteps coming towards my truck. Dogs still going crazy. I covered up and prayed. Momentarily, I felt something brush against my truck. It rockets my truck back and forth and the stinch was near nauseating. I have heard that Sasquatch have connections with these orb phenomenon. The next day I asked a camp ranger what it could have been and he said that it was a bard owl but the smell and the dogs threw me for a loop. Anyway, love your channel man. ❤

Also I am dropping by today to say, I've been going to Lassen Park for 60 years and the only way I've heard that pronounced is Bump-as Hell or bum-pas ...same sort of sound, if you see (or hear 😊) what I mean. "Bumpass Hell was first discovered in the late 1800’s by a man named Kendall Vanhook Bumpass. He named it “Bumpass Hell” for good reason. On the first visit, Kendall Bumpass broke through the fragile surface of a steam geyser, plunging his leg into the deep burning steam and water, resulting in the loss of his leg."

Oh gosh I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really think you should always take another person with you especially when you go backpacking into the deep woods. I bought a shuttle bus and converted that into my own little Nirvana hippie camper and I feel really safe in there but I know you can't get into the backwoods in the mountains or anything with it. Anyway I've been telling people about your channel and the stories people send to you and I am totally convinced there is something out there. To listen to the audio of some of the people you've talked to, you can totally tell they are not lying. Oh gosh and I'm wondering if I can order that beer... I'm going to look it up that sounds super good, lol!!! You are one of my favorite people on RU-vid right now!😁❤️🪄✨

Hi Chris! I've not commented in a while because i now have my husband hooked and his phone is much newer and higher quality screen than mine. But we've never missed an episode and when he started watching with me, i sat through all the videos i had already wartched til he got caugght up! That's how much i love your story telling!!🎉 We did miss last weeks for sickness overtook our home but hubby is back 100% amd i'm 60%. Chris on Friday, now that’s special! Wow I would have loved to found those foot prints, that’s awesome. When you go back to the park take something with you to make cast just in case you get lucky again, the cast would make a great addition to your man cave in a display case.

It always amazes me that when new animals are discovered around the world, they are accepted and amazed, but no one can accept the idea of sasquatch being a real thing. Hmm, I wonder why

Base Camp Chris is such a pleasant story teller. He comes across as very genuine and sincere. Good stories about haunted woods, cryptids, etc. I always tune in.
