I think the top of this price is made from one of those round tables that has flaps that fold down to make the table smaller or fold up to make a round table. I think someone took the side panels off of one of these tables to make the top of this table. I think the holes on the underside of this table top are from the hinges that were on the original table. The legs might be the legs of the original table.

Anyone in the business knows different wood species and products react differently. Of course there are multiple ways to do something! Thanks you, Jay, for expressing your thoughts about more than one way to do things, and people having various and legitimate reasons for not doing something the way everyone else does it. I used to hand spin wool, I was self-taught, of course I didn't do it the way the "professionals" did it, but my way worked for me, and I was happy with the end results. If everyone did everything the same way, how boring that would be, and how limiting, less happy mistakes that lead to beneficial discoveries. Thanks for saying it.

Don’t let the Downers get to you. Love the detailed work you do in restoring furniture even underneath and the backs. Keep on keeping on!!

Using what's around, different methods to what other people think is 'right' & getting interrupted by cats - all very relatable! Beautiful result & lovely to see a less usual shape of table - good inspiration!

Jay, I always enjoy watching the different methods you use to get your end results. It's a lot more interesting than minutes of boring sanding. Looking forward to your upcoming videos.

What a beautiful looking table. I can see that both you and the fur babies absolutely hate each other lol. I hope you keep up the fantastic restorations that you do .

This was an unusual table. I enjoyed the video especially the cats. But I also enjoyed watching you blend the colors. I find that difficult. Thanks for sharing.

This is such a lovely piece, I can not understand why anyone would have wanted to cover that top with anything other than the polyurethane you used. The grain in the wood is beautiful and the base unit came out wonderfully. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing more of your work very soon. 😊

Как же раньше красиво делали мебель мастера и уродовали позднее неумелые пользователи... А современные реставраторы дают вторую жизнь мебели. Браво!

Awesome job as always! Love the kitties making the appearance and giving you their approval on the work. That big patch on the side I really had trouble spotting before you started adding vertical lines to blend it in more, so coool!

I researched some of the design aspects of this table. The Cathedral design in the legs made me think it is 1890' Chippendale style hall table with a fancy pants top made from another table. I love it! I am a one of a kind too so we are buddies already!
