Yeah, me too. So much money spent and not even on a new shelf!? Chuck the boot shapers (or just use thin plastic placemats that are like 1$ for 4 instead of those ridiculously expensive boot shapers) to be able to afford that. This is an accident waiting to happen.

Organizing by colour in rainbow order is actually THE best! If you're looking for your green shirt you only need to look through the green section and not the entire closet. It also makes it easier to know where to put your clothes back and it's pleasing to the eye. I just switched to this system a few months ago and my brain really likes my clothes organised this way.

Yeah I am see that. But I personally prefer doing it by length and arm length. So like crops tops go together. Short sleeves go together, etc etc. works amazing for me. Color coded looks cool, but doesn’t work out for me well.

I’ve been trying to declutter my closet so I can have the same 12 outfits on repeat, but alas, I save articles of clothing that I “might” wear but usually never do. It’s an endless cycle. I’ve lessened a lot of it, but have not saved closet space quite yet.

Cool tip: instead of buying boot inserts to keep them upright, tape together solo cups with duct tape, so you can customize the height and make it thicker with cardboard if needed. Also, way less expensive!

Two most important things to remember when doing a closet makeover...get rid of (however you choose) of at least 50% ( I got rid of 75%) of what is in it, and buy all the same color hangers

Am I the only one who thinks $200 is an absurd amount for a closet makeover? Like you need some coat hangers, some storage tubs, a shoe hanger, and a laundry hamper. I could go to my local department store and get all that for like $75.

Yes I agree to some extent but some people cant organize things. It’s just the type of person you are. Plus this stuff takes time and hiring a professional makes it so you don’t have to waste your own time doing this. Also if your an organizing freak (me) then it’s a nice surprise to come home and see all your clothing in a really neat way and just feel bliss. ^^ that might just be me though. I’m really not trying to be mean just trying to explain why it would cost 200$ and some reasons why it might be worth the money. :D

I recommend storing all of your clothes with similar colors next to each other, and go from darkest to lightest (right to left), as well as have it rising to the right (so long jackets, dresses and such furthest at the right, and the lightest, shortest things at the right such as t-shirts, tank tops and blouses). This is the KonMari-way :)

I know this comment is from a year ago but the hamper is from Walmart in the description of the video they gave a link to buzzfeed.com and wrote a story about everything in this video if you scrolled down to the hamper section and then click on the price of the hamper it takes you the Walmart website and shows you the hamper item

You should totally hang your hanger backwards and when you use the item hang it the right way. After six months any backwards items you should get rid of them it worked wonders for me.

SO I HAVE YOUR ANSWER: if you go to the description box and click the link that says “read more” or “learn more” by it, it should take you to an article about the video. And then scroll down the article until it talks about the hamper. And under the photo, there should be a caption that says “you can find this hamper at Walmart for 19.94” so you click on the price and it should redirect you right to the hamper online :)
