You probably already heard about this going on but I just came across it in a post and wanted to share. Police friends beware: Yesterday we responded to a call in Deep Ellum regarding a black male and a very detailed description on him acting erratic, banging on cars and screaming for help. We treated it as a CIT. Upon arrival we saw 2 nicely dressed individuals with nice camera equipment standing back filming the entire indecent. The “suspect” was holding a protest sign no shirt and acting very loud and erratic. He then quickly walked away from us almost as if he wanted us to chase him. We walked slowly behind him and he stopped. As I approached him again I observed a guy way off in a corner with a camera with a long high powered lens taking pictures. When I pointed him out he walked away. We attempted to calm the individual down.. one of the officers gave him water.. at this time an older white female pulled up in a car and yelled “that’s a lot of cops for one black guy don’t you think” and then drove off. The individual stated he had no medical problems, had not taken drugs or alcohol and did not need an ambulance. There was No evidence than an offense was committed. We asked him to remain calm and then we cleared the location. We felt that something was not adding up with how the incident unfolded.. we then checked the caller information which turned out to be the individual in question.. (weird right? He called on himself) we then later found that he was working with a cop watch group out of ft worth called Carolina.. after reviewing my camera it appeared that the lady in the car was Carolina and this was a complete set up on the police. So please be mindful they are now hiring people to cause scenes so they can film how we respond. Not that we handled the situation any differently than any other call like this.. but cop watch groups are baiting us by creating fake calls with “actors”.
Wow what a terrible thing to do Not just to the cops, but to whatever stupid kid takes the roll as "actor" What if some idiot replicates this, doesn't know what they're doing, and gives the dispatcher false information that make the police feel that they're responding to a deadly threat? What if the actor makes a mistake and escalates? What if the actor appears to be reaching for a weapon while "acting erratically"? I'll tell you: these idiots will blame the cops when their lies get someone killed. In fact, i can't see how this isnt the goal of these "fake" incidents... to recruit young adults who want to make a difference into sacrificing their lives for a story I know this is a 2 year old comment, but it's the first i heard of this (never really paid much attention to police news)... and of course I'm sure it's only gotten worse since you posted, I'll have to catch up
Been watching for a while now but would like to say thank you for all the breakdowns and information on how policing is and should be conducted I highly respect you and other officers who are or have been on the force. I know times are tough for the current police force here in America but I do hope that the majority of citizens can open there eyes and see that 99% of time if not more, the police are there for you not against you. I have suggested this channel to some anti policing friends from high school and it seems like they have a better understanding of how it is for the protection of us all. Thanks again!!

I feel ya I'm 21 on the 6th so im gonna get my concealed carry as soon as I can. They passed the law in florida where you have to be 21 to buy any firearm, rifles, shotguns, etc, the day I put money down on an ar. Couldnt get it.
