Three notes: 1) How did the chest sink before you got back to it during that early steal? I've lost a chest on the other side of the map and was able to make it back with minutes to spare before it sank. Do Chests of Fortune have shorter sink times? 2) How did you have the boat cosmetics already if you hadn't gotten the achievement yet? Did someone on your crew already accomplish it? 3) As a representitive of the Skelly Curse community, you did Flameheart a service by clowning on the gilded skelly. Salt belongs in the sea, not under the banner of Flameheart.
Loot has 5 minutes before it starts sinking, and like an additional 5 minutes once it's on the sea bed. This doesn't apply to being on a shoreline, but it has to be extremely close. This applies to all loot. Vix had unlocked the shipset before me and was flexing it lmao Yeahhhh, that gold skelly was so annoyinggggggggggggggg 🙊

one time when me and my friend wanted to end the session we wanted to go to a fort of fortune that just spawned on our server just to watch the chaos, for some reason no one was there, we took our sweet time doing it hoping someone would come but no one came, so we cleared it and sold everything easily.
With that last part I feel like with Golden Skellies they need to remember, reaching Rank 1000 in HGPVP isn't a testament to your skill... it's simply a testament to how much you've played.
@@henrygernhauser7523 Mate I have watched brigs sink themselves trying to sink a solo. I have seen people who've gotten Skeleton/Ghost curses (both normal and at least one golden) through AFK loss-farming. You can 100% blunder and brainlet your way to HG curses. And you'll find the number will only increase the longer HGPVP is in the game.
So just for next time you get shark'd trying to swim away here's a magic trick I learned: If you block with the sword as they're coming (before they attack) they straight up loose you. It's like they think you're invisible (might not work from every angle)
@@ToxieSinclaire Just make sure they're not too close or already starting to attack you and it should buy you more time! Do it effectively and you can go a while without being attacked

@@ToxieSinclaire hell yes it is! To this day I still go back and replay the opening cutscenes from it because it was so good. Now if only SoT could give us the ability to burst out of a waterfall like you could from the pirate hideout under the island lol

Not sure why people keep saying this is the rarest chest lol..... ok fair it is a chest while the wondrous secrets is a box. you win though wondrous secrets is technically worth more. Only found one and dont know if reapers even take it so you might not be able to ever boost it with emissary grade.But FoF is so common now. I did a few but honestly they said they will move the chest to over events and we are always going to be able to unlock theses cosmetics so not in a rush. no emissary ledgers to farm no reason to play imo
