It is the last song of the Trilogy of Lights. It’s about getting past the pain of loss and pressing on in life. Like the last step in the grieving process.

The trilogy of lights is a great set of songs: "starlight", "shine" then this. The first two have feelings of pain, then sadness, and Arkadia finishes with moving on. As you heard, they are often thought of (though totally unofficially) as tributes to either Yui leaving the band, or the death of guitarist Mikio, who died after falling from a platform whilst stargazing. This concert had all 3 played together, somewhere out there is a full video

I like what you said about the Avengers. They had a very tough job filling in for Yui, who is loved so much by the fans. I think they were maybe a little underappreciated. There's something about that smile from Su at 2:14 that warms my heart. 🙂

Good thing you catch a new song you didn't heard before, I wasn't expecting for you jump to 3rd album so soon, that's why I didn't mention any of those songs and neither the Trilogy Of Lights, an official set of songs starting with "Starlight, Shine and Arkadia". Unofficially was took by fans to tribute Mikio Fujioka passed away and YuiMetal withdrawal. It's said by the producer this set is meant to represent the ongoingcycle of birth, death and rebirth. Is all good if you got different feelings different than the rest, is also meant to experience by yourself and get the feelings depending on your mood or state of mind. Every song hits different way. And yeah the avengers are really super talented backup dancers, all of them, Riho Sayashi, Kano Fujihira and Momoko Okazaki. Try to reach "Shine" live at Legend M MoaMetal 20 Birthday. It's cool man I get super emotional when I listen to almost all there songs. Found them during a weird time in my life. This band means something I can't explain. I wish I could see them once live before I go. Their music has touched me in a way I could never explain. Glad to see other people feel a little of what I do when I listen to them. They are truly special and one of a kind.

It is a song of acceptance and hope. So sad and happy in a sense.

Riho Sayashi (one of the avengers and she's seen here) is a beast when it comes to dancing and she's a damn good solo artist as well, it's pop but really good pop!

I had to go through an 'adaptive' period where I had to get used to not seeing Yuimetal in that spot. But as I learned more about the 3 Avengers and what they've done just to fill that spot, my appreciation and respect for them grew hundredfold. As RickWagner said, the Avenger in this video was Riho Sayashi. The other two rotating Avengers, Kano Fujihara and Momoko Okasaki were both still part of Sakura Gakuin when they first started performing with Babymetal. Although Momometal graduated from Sakura Gakuin, she's been the Avenger since until the 10 Babymetal Budokan performance early last year. Kanometal is now in her own jpop group OneFive along with three of her former Sakura Gakuin 'classmates'. They all graduated together in 2020.

Great reaction, thanks! I totally agree with you about the Avengers. Actually it was a kind of trial and error process during the 2018 world tour: first as a duo and adding some backup dancers (controversial is kinda an euphemism... although they did an amazing job!) and then with Saya Hirai who became unofficially the first "avenger" before the Avengers system was set in 2019. And also going back to a 3 girl formation. And you are right, Yui cannot be replaced and the three Avengers did an amazing job, and really appreciated. It's just that being trained singers besides dancers... they should give them a mic in my opinion. See you next time!

Babymetal everything you want in music and somethings you didn't know you needed. Going through covid and everything else Arkadia is what the world needs now. The avengers for me at first was a bit of hesitation. But in turned into another Babymetal just does things differently. More exceptance came when I found out who they are. All friends of Su and Moa. It seems it's a good thing to be friends with Babymetal. But you better be able to dance. 😆 🤣 😂 😹. Luckily all 3 of them can and then some. By the end of the tour I was actually wanting for Momoko to become a new official member. New album on its way. We all hope that means a new tour and then we'll see who is in the 3rd spot. My original comment has disappeared annoyingly, no idea why - no links, nothing controversial .... I can't remember everything I said - something about 'Arkadia' being an uplifting song, full of hope and optimism for better things to come in the future following on from the initial grief of a loss in 'Starlight' and the acceptance in 'Shine', so I was wondering how they would effect you if this one made you emotional. Also said something about hearing what you had to say about the Avengers being good - they all clearly had the time of their lives and put their whole heart into doing the best they possibly could for every performance and are deserving of so much appreciation. I hope you can use the Babymetal Reactor Resource videos for 'Starlight' and 'Shine' - and the Legend M performance for 'Shine' in particular. I'm also looking forward to you seeing performances you haven't seen of songs you know already.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This is a compilation from 5 shows (1 in USA + 4 in Japan). Avengers (= support dancers) in this video are Kano and mostly Riho. And the audio in this video is from Makuhari 2020, so the band in the back was West (American) Kamis. This powerful drummer has not been identified officially, but, of course, fans figured out who he was. Anthony BARONE is one of my favorite drummers now. As other viewers commented, this is the last song of "Trilogy Of Lights" and Arkadia is, as Grington300 300 said, an uplifting song, full of hope and optimism for better things to come in the future. This song, however, makes me emotional a little bit like you feel, because we sense some sad residuals "from the initial grief of a loss", which Grington300 300 also mentioned. BM did not perform Arkadia in any of the 10 Budokan shows held last year. I believe they are saving it to perform in the forthcoming shows when their world tour restarts. I really want to see it live someday.

Funny that you felt a bit emotional at that exact time, since that was a part of the song that was in english, even if you didn't realize :D "No more tears No more pain No more cry" I am one that initially was thrown a bit off by the avengers, since the past balance felt a bit off, but with time I came to appreciate them and how professional they are! There are some fans that couldn't get past Yui leaving, but most have moved on... But I feel that if Yui would ever come back, almost every fan would be really really happy!
