What a day!!! They say free cars are the most expensive ones! This one has been sitting here since the year 2000 and has been off of the road since 1985!
Yeah, he goes everywhere with me. We have been dragging cars home since he was 2 1/2 months old. And he knows his stuff. Check out this video when he was two years old and naming all of the cars in my shop. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uz3n30kNtok.htmlsi=TPxbJHOK9Oei5BkN
You did well covering your behind at the beginning. What an excavation of a nice find. Z man is growing and looking more like his dad, I think. Thanks for letting me watch you all do the work.
My dad was a VW fan. He had about 10 of them parked behind the house. They were ovals and one split. The problem was we only had a one car garage. So instead of selling a few VWs we tore down the one car garage and built a 10 car garage.
Man, Dezzy. That was one serious recovery project! The earth was intent on reclaiming that camaro. My hat's off to you and your buddy for saving that one!
Thanks man. I’m going to start collecting parts for it while I work on other projects like my Caprice. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6byYqpyRsy4.htmlsi=PFddOnSY8xNQiz4i
It's not everyday that a person can aquire a 67 Camero for free and it's not like parts would be hard to find for it...I'm pretty sure that most people would've had a stiff price tag for the car cause it's like the shape there in doesn't matter anymore when it comes to a firm crazy price tag on those particular cars. In my mind, I think you struck gold but most people don't see it that way but it's not everyday that you can get a free 67 Camero...I'd be happy with it, at least I think I would lol..
That's awesome dude. Ive been given a few cars in my lifetime, mostly clapped out parts cars. Never a first gen Camaro. Even if you parted her out, you could get a couple grand easy.
You know I watch a few of you shows. I have utmost respect for you. Because you are a great father. I raised my son by myself and taught him all about cars like my dad.
23:35 that's a great Dad there, son is having a great time with you and your passion is rubbing in is DNA like your's and itching to share with his dad! Priorities and pricelessness.
I agree with the previous comment. Wow! just getting to car was a workout. Always good to people to help out. My cousin owned 1967 Firebird, when he came back from Vietnam, he gotten married, with 1 & 1 on the way. He got out the Army, but buying the car & insurance was too much for 16 yr old kid. Nice find.
There's one of these in my town. Dad tried to buy it back in the 80s a bunch of times. The story is dad would always be ran off by a "crazy lady". Eventually dad's friend happened to move in next door. Dad goes there to party and the neighbors came over to the party. The lady's hubby mentions to dad.... the reason ol' lady would act psycho and run him off was because that Camaro was their kid's ride and he never returned from the war. They couldn't let it go. The car is still there. It's been covered forever, rusting forever, tarped, fenced in, and now there's a garage in front of it. Only the older car guys in town know about the car and apparently everyone has a similar story of trying to buy it. Cars become parts of our lives and with this one being so emotionally tied to their son in Vietnam... it's understandable. I've been trying to buy a 47 and 53 Cadillac for 20 years. The owner's wife still can't bring herself to let them go after his death. Some day maybe, but I can't hate on her. I just respect and let it be known I'm interested. Her heart is still in it.
She said there was a barn fire, so it looks like that fire took out the whole drivers side. More work than I could take on, but have no doubt you'll get around to it.
Man has he got big 😊! I remember being the first few to jump on the channel subscription holder and he was a little guy as you were getting started with the adventures of Deezy Speed Shop! Good morning and great day to you all. God bless you all and be safe and enjoy your quest to keep them coming and save them if you can. The more you get done and have the richer in life you all will be and the time spent with the son will be priceless and hopefully a lifetime pass on for you both.😊
Yea I’ll grab parts from swap meets as I go. I have a lot of projects ahead of this one. Like my 69 Caprice ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6byYqpyRsy4.htmlsi=UFs4uBu43cxkTqUx
Nice rescue. I have a service van like yours. A friendly suggestion that I did is I applied 3M's window insulation kit over those holes in the cage and in the large areas I used shipping cushion material like those swimming noodles ... it heats and cools the "cab" faster.
Welcome! I’ll click parts for this car as I go, but check out my 69 Caprice. It’s a factory 427 four speed car. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cKDAQGwPAmM.htmlsi=fM_Yzr1n2XTi-IPl
Nice score Dezzy! I’m in SeaTac, my daily is a 69 nova 4sp with a fresh 383. Unless weather is really bad I just drive my dakota. But hey your vids are fun to watch, keep it up!
Kyle was clutch this time. I hope you bought that dude lunch or something. Feels like when I dug my 70 out from on top of a mountain but mine did not have anywhere near as much thorny bushes. Fun times. Sweet score, Dezzy! Shout out from Cali
Nice find and even better price, would love to see the clean up video. It looked like the steering wheel had SS on it. Super nice video with your son and your friend
Congratulations, with your skills you will get that machine up and running again. Will it be a show car, probably not but a car you could drive everywhere for sure. Be well this day.
I was born in Western Washington and had a 49 Chev 5 window pickup that was from Aberdeen before I moved to Eastern Washington in 1975 and that pickup had rust holes you could put your fist through. I remember driving down the road looking at the asphalt through the holes in the floor. When I moved to Eastern Washington in 1975 when I was still sixteen I was so excited because you could find old cars that weren't all rusted out that had been sitting for years and years. I fixed some of them up. I love early Camaros especially the 69 and I have owned 7 different 69 Camaros through the years. And they were all cars that I fixed up because I never had the bucks to go out and buy a done car. Anyhow I am interested to see what you will do with this one!
We’ve all made statements about not needing and not getting another car and the reasons why. But something always seems to come up! And that car was not free! Y’all earned that car getting it out of the bush and onto that trailer!
I love getting cars from over there! That’s where my Caprice came from ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cKDAQGwPAmM.htmlsi=fM_Yzr1n2XTi-IPl
My cousin had a black late 60s Cameron drag car, I think a 69. Cool looking car! I think I saw it rise a little on its springs during the sped-up video clip moving branches off the roof.
Thanks for subscribing. If you like rare Chevys check out my other car, I guarantee you’ve never seen one like it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cKDAQGwPAmM.htmlsi=Kk4IRogB053ulxwQ
In the words of Larry the Cable Guy. Get Er Done...I am slowly restoring a 67 RS that started as a complete basket case. Last summer I did full rockers, Toe boards and full floor pan. I have both Frame Rails, Full Trunk Floor, Inner and Outer Wheel Houses, Trunk Drop Offs, Both Quarter Panels, Inner Quarter patch panels,Tail Panel, Trunk filler and Roof sitting in the garage now waiting for it to be warm enough to get at it. It had been sitting since 1991. Im only 6500 into it so far. If you are not paying labor it's not that bad. You can buy them or build them. Either way you pay, but building can be cheaper.
Doesn't look that bad, it looks pretty solid, hang onto that one. Use to know someone "rip" that had 5 "67" camaros all sitting next to each other in original condition but covered in dirt and leaves. And this was 30 years ago, He was always on some other projects. Best wishes to you ❤
A lot of people would probably scoff at that and call it junk, but they have no idea how much these muscle cars go for even in this state. Getting that for free unreal.
Man! The ole girl has seen better days however, there’s still good soul in that old pot!! I’m stoked for you!!! Hopefully, there’s an L-88 connected to an M-22 somewhere in the brush..
