I hate to say I still prefer 701/2 though 73 r/s Camaro. If I could have ordered one it would have been hugger orange with black interior, 4 speed, white stripe car
Nice ZL1/RS! But IMO, they should have put real Z/28 stripes over the hood and rear trunk instead of the funny looking stripe job they did. Plus, the 427 emblems on the side of each front fender are from the 66 427 Impala; It looks awkward with those fender emblems to me.
Not all COPO cars were blacked out. I owned two 69 Yenko Camaro’s, one brand new in 69, the other a few years ago that I restored, neither had the blacked out tail panel. I have never seen a ZL-1 car in that configuration, the ones I’ve seen have all been base models, for weight, that car doesn’t look authentic to me, but back in the day you could order whatever you wanted. Why someone would order that expensive engine package, and then add weight is suspect, but to each his own.
Well, like I said, to each his own, not an attractive car, and the stripes I know for a fact are not factory installed. The emblem on the fenders are from an earlier car. Looks kinda JC Whitney to me. I enjoy your videos, personally, I like your 427 Caprice over this particular Camaro, just personal preference.
Sure such a car is rare but these things are a full size family car. Sure it may be a very fast Chevy Caprice but it is still a Chevy Caprice. I am with you on the Cuda and Mustang but not the family car . Are these cars not the same platforms as the full size Buick, Pontiac , Olds family cars?
@@DezzysSpeedShop Look my friend. I lived through this era. When you could get a big block Chevelle, Corvette, Camaro the huge and heavy full size cars were not a big deal. Again if you only consider the full size Chevy the big block, especially with a 4 speed was not at all common but not so special in the company of the more appealing cars previously mentioned. Show up with one of these on cruise night and everyone would think you borrowed dads car
Work in the F150I need help. I'm 70 years old. 073 really. I gotta d Gotta put a transmission in It. Which I Need help. A little bit of electrical work. More help. I don't have no way to do the work.
Absolutely stunning. My dad had a red one in 1974. I was 9. Same4274speed had recurring starter issues. Car was incredibly fast. Dad had to reuse starter bell end and use a new truck starter pieced together. 2 brothers bought it and went racing at Suffolk Raceway.
What a car. Couldn't afford one in high school and certainly can't afford one now. Just wish we could have heard full throttle through all the gears once or twice.
Ever since I was a little kid I have loved long roofs. Mom had a 66 Pontiac Catalina 9 passenger wagon and I would love to have another one but I don't see that happening due to finances and health issues. Gotta LOVE the wonderful spelling they did on that master cylinder cover.... LOL
