@@DezzysSpeedShop Well, the decals on the air cleaner & the rear trunk molding trim "says" 396🤫 but I "think" it might be a l'il bit more cubic inches (58" to be exact😏) than that
Its 2024 and muscle cars from the 60`s and 70`s are showing their outdated design compared to the superior design and performance of modern Muscle cars. Big chunky chrome bumpers, terrible handling and braking, poor performance, and odd designs from passengers family cars made into muscle cars with big engines and graphics. This car is a fine example of a true performance car. It was designed with Mark Donahue for one goal in mind, to win the trans am racing series in 1971. The humps on the fenders and quarter panels were designed to fit oversized tires for the track. Not to copy the corvette as many enthusiasts believe. Front and back spoilers for High speeds. Aerodynamic Hood and functional cowl induction system for more power. Wide Stance for superior handling on the track. The 71 401 was no slouch. It was a HD engine with forged crank and rods, 10:25 compression, dog leg racing heads, Free Flow exhaust that cranked out 345hp.
Are you a hoarder ? Do you only collect or do you eventually do something with these cars ? Replacing a timing chain in a Chevy truck is not a restoration. Just curious. When I first saw your channel I was interested but so far nothing has happened. Plans for the future?
@@DezzysSpeedShop It's cool that they're still around and not crushed but they're just rotting away. Wish I had the money to buy it.. My dad had the exact same car color and all back in the day. floors are probably gone on most..
The absolute best looking Chevy two SS My friend little duce had a 327-365hp mill He had Lee Edwards do some funny things to the engine Had all Vette running gear And nothing but 260 Sunoco went Into the tank That little Duce was among the top dogs in the quarter mile What a great time to have lived in
Little man knows his cars, take him with you as long as you can, it will pay off in the long run with the way he will turn out knowing he has love. Good job man

THIS. CAPRICE IS A SUPER RARE BIRD 🐦⬛ WITH A 427 AND ALL THE GOODIEZ LIKE HIDEAWAY HEADLIGHTS, TILT STEERING, POWER WINDOWS, POWER LOCKS, AND TRUNK RELEASE IN GLOVE BOX. JUST LIKE A CADILLAC WOULD HAVE. WOULD LOVE TO OWN THIS CAR
I was in rogersville Alabama this dude had one like just like this looks like the same car and we ran a 69 Camaro built to the health we held them off until 3rd gear
The blackout panel was reserved for SS 396 cars only , never from the factory on anything else . It's the first giveaway as to wether a Camaro or Malibu is a real COPO or not .
I hate to say I still prefer 701/2 though 73 r/s Camaro. If I could have ordered one it would have been hugger orange with black interior, 4 speed, white stripe car
@@DezzysSpeedShopIf I'm not mistaken, I think that Forest Green '70 Camaro SS in the background is either a Baldwin or Nickey creation that actually has a swapped LS6 in it (I recognized the gold "Gripper" wheels on it). Muscle Car of the Week did a feature on it some years back and that car did one of the most awesome burnouts they'd ever seen.
