I did the same for my 2nd bike, I wanted a light aluminium bike that I could race on in crappy weather instead of using my carbon bike. I went with the trek emonda alr as the caad 12 was near impossible to get.

Beer bike! Back in the day the decals were fairly easily removed and the Can o ale bike company was born. I was expecting more of an all-rounder, disc brakes for sure; but there's always n+1!

I see you don't like the Spec Power Saddle. After my first ride on it, I felt the same. I gave it more of a chance and now it's my favorite saddle. Of course saddles are a personal choice. I also like the Spec Romin.

I'm not sure about those Specialized seats and their "scientific" fit ... I tried one which should have matched my sit bones and it was just incredibly uncomfortable.

yeah by the way that saddle looked like i think i had tried that one for couple days and it felt like sitting on piece of wood....not a good saddle at all

Cool bike rack, looks awesome. Is the new bike a backup/shitty weather/trash bike? I have 2 bikes as well, one is the backup/going-to-store/I-don't-care bike, other bike is for longer trips. Better bike also has disc brakes, cable actuated but fluid in the brakes if I understand it correctly. Disc brakes are deffo the way to go for me. I wish I lived in Australia, theres been ice on the road here better part of the week.
