I can’t see you growing a 5 bushel / acre crop like we do in southern Sask. So you shouldn’t have Mike M problems. You will be happy with combine. I demoed a 45 NXT honey bee. That’s a real nice header. You will love that header

Yep great minds think alike lol. I'm so glad you went with a fendt saves me so much yelling at the TV. With as much moving from field to field and having to move down roads that are just getting more and more crowded the narrower width of the tracks compared to tires will be less stressful going down crowded roads.

Congrats on the new combine. I think you will find that you made the right call with the 2 for 1. Stress is one of those things you don't really realize you are under until you are no longer under the stress. One less operator (whether combine, cart or truck) = less stress. Newer machine and newer heads with fewer breakdowns = less stress. Given you and Mike Mitchel know each other I'm sure you talked and got the low down on Fendt and Honey Bee. From watching his vids I think most of their problems were with light crops (lentils) caused by drought. If you ever have that type of drought in south Ohio I'm sure the brand of Combine will be the least of your concerns.

Excited to see how it goes. Love the joysticks in payloaders and would totally have been my choice. Spend a couple seasons in a 8250 and a few hours in a demo 8500TT. Been very intrigued with the ideal and would some time with one. Keep up the good work. 👍👍.

Happy Christmas to all at Browns Farms. Congratulations on acquiring your new Fendt combine. I didn't quess that you would go the Fendt route, as I did not know you had demoed one (fairly new viewer). But I do love anything Fendt make. The level of engineering is superb, as you already know with the tractors. Nearly forty years ago, I was an Ag Mech in UK, and had to do some work on a Fendt tractor and couldn't believe the support the technical guys gave me to solve a nasty problem. They were superb and ever since then I have been a Fendt fan. Good luck when it gets there. Look forward the next June/July to see it working.

I'm excited to see how that Ideal will run for you. I was talking to an Ohio Ag sales rep in my area, and he mentioned the operation around Bryan that had the Class 10 with a 62-foot head. He also spoke of improvements made to the combine because I mentioned Mike Mitchell's experience with them.
