I got you beat, I started a new game 2 nights ago, and within 10 min I stumbled on a ship graveyard and found a (pre-exploded) paragon for free, lol oddly enough have yet to fly it, I was doing a modded Diable Avionics playthrough where I only use their ships, it's racking up hangar fees somewhere.

Good. Now try to get the Ziggurat.

But buy the Paragon you require reputation with the Tri-tachyon faction. Unless you got really lucky on a black market/open market.

Remember while doing the tutorial, to sell the ai core before "handing it over". You can buy it back for the same price you sold it and later return to for the 30K to the tri-tachyon.

wrong, the TRUE strongest ship in vanilla starsector is the ziggurat. And you can even also get it in 30 minutes with a good setup

skill issue, i got one in fifteen minutes on my first salvage run on a new save. True story, it was sitting in a system named Moloch Eye to the right of the core systems. Mothballed and stuck in storage for a rainy day.
