I’m barely 5’8”, and my iron fitter did actually measure. I was barely in the standard length range, and I can always choke down a quarter or half inch or more if needed.
@ConnorLyon naw it is way better baseline than standard not sure how tall you are but standard feels like kid clubs no way to choke down and bent over. Don't get me started on off the shelf wedges lol I look ridiculous .
@@shaneWARs16’4 and I’m dead center of standard measurement, it’s more to do with the distance from your hands to the floor than your head from the ground.
41 years later still playing Ping Eye 2’s from 1983 (before the groove change in ‘84). Ping is a great company and stands behind their products and customers. Looking forward to seeing you make birds with the new clubs in the bag. HSFS!
@@Name-ff3pd I sent them to Ping in 2021 and they “refurbished them” for less than $18 per club, tumbled and repainted with loft and lie adjusted to original specs. It’s the best deal in golf and 100% worth the money, only a 10 day turnaround and great customer service. They look good as new!
@@craighoelzer7118 They are the “OG” player’s irons from the ‘80s. If you see them in the bag, you’re in the presence of “transformational” technology that still rivals the modern equivalent in irons! Loft for loft they still play as good as “modern” clubs!
I love that retro Ping logo on the wall. If I ever get a pro fitting by Ping I'll have to get that logo tattoo'd on me somewhere. Also, solid video Keffer 👊
Love my ping i20s and definitely planning on upgrading. Going home across the country this weekend and going to be playing my old ping eye 2’s. They are just too good at what they do!
I really like seeing someone like you (and me) get fitted. I always wanted to do this but I wasn't sure if it would work because my ball striking is so inconsistent.
I just started golfing again this year (44 now), but used to golf when I was 10-12. I had a junior set that was kinda no-name (or I just don't remember it), and I remember every summer during classes that the kids would be in the pro-shop dreaming about the sets they'd get when they were older, and Ping was always one of the most popular brands we'd all look at. I started with a set of Spaulding Executive clubs with senior flex a friend picked up for me at a garage sale 2 years ago, but only went to the range 3 times before this year. I upgraded to a set if Titleist AP1's with stiff shafts, a Callaway Maverik Sub Zero driver and 3 wood, and Callaway 3 and 5 Big Bertha hybrid (all with regular shafts), and will probably use this set for a couple of years... but I still dream of getting a set of Ping clubs, one of these days. I don't know what it is, but they always had such a clean, "sexy/sporty," look to them, and the name just sounded like what you wanted to hear every time with the perfect shot. PING! Nice video. It was really cool to see the history of the company, as well as see you get your set.
Very very very cool video Keffer. Great editing and pacing too. Never knew about the Ping putter vault, loved that! Good to see you are happy with your new clubs, hope you have a great rest of the season. 🤙
Question on the set up towards the top of your bag. I play with the i230s as well btw really awesome irons! You said the 5 hybrid was replacing your 4 iron. Did they have that turn down 1.5 degrees for that? Or what was the reason not to use the 4 hybrid? Also isn’t the 7-wood supposed to basically be the alternative to a 4 iron as well? Love the video! Just curious!
Awesome video! That must have been a title rush getting fit at the proving-grounds! Enjoy your new clubs, let us know how they affect your game. Would totally love one of those hats.
My bucket list dream. This was such a kool video. I’ve always loved Ping. I’ve been playing the g10’s for almost 20 years. It’s the only set I’ve ever bought. I hit them good. But I think I’m ready to go a little thinner. This video makes me want to go tomorrow. ❤❤❤
Great video! I got fitted for i230’s last year. Added the same S159 wedges and G430 3-hybrid this summer. Now all I need is a G430 Max driver. Would love a hat if you have any left! Subbed!
Great video. The fitting on their range is open to the public but gets full quickly. That said, they have many master fitters throughout Phoenix. Their repair/custom team is second to none. My 7y daughter plays an ANSER 4 putter (her choice). Circa 1982, they completely refinished it replaced with a cut down shaft and new grip for a
SO SO cool. immediately trying to find out how many months I gotta save to make something like that happen. Haha! Who says golf fitting is only for the low handicappers? Sounds like your game could easily improve a ton just having clubs fit for you and your swing! So cool!
Cool video. Would you mind please listing what's in the bag , club by club? what putter, etc. I'm guessing putter 5-9i P-S-Gap wedges 3-5-7w, 5H Driver
Would love to get fitted here. Currently I’m using my dad’s s56’s he used, they’re pretty strong (for the 2000s) and extra stiff. I’m also using the driver he used, which is double x, and super strong (7.5 degrees). I’m getting pretty good with irons but the driver is just impossible for me.
Totally want a hat bro! That look like such an awesome fun trip to Ping! What a cool experience like Disneyland for golfers. , especially with such a cool authentic American company like Ping!
