The woman in the fake video deserves credit for her acting too- she was playing a character written as ridiculously arrogant and loathsome, but her performance sold it so well that she actually seemed believable. They were genuinely both great, and hopefully their viral moment will boost both their careers.
No it’s horrible! She’s perpetuating horrible stereotypes about dating black women. I’ve seen so many women point out how what she is doing is super harmful if it is staged and guess it was! Like if it was a skit then point out it’s a skit right away! saying it’s real is actually damaging to people
@@RaspBerryPies stereotype doesn't appear magically you know, most of them exist and stay alive cause they are based in reality. Like it or not, i don't give a flying fuck.
@@what.the..6990they really are not, you can literally see comments just attacking the woman like ‘not surprised its always the blacks!’ and straight out being racist
@@jaymike3302Bro, like he said, most of the internet was fooled by that video. It’s not just him. Just because you got it doesn’t mean that everyone else who didn’t is a dumbass.
@@surreal4972 People should know by now that 99% of these videos are fake. And to not make a fool of yourself by believing it unless you investigate it first.
I don’t know if that makes him a great guy or simply a decent one but I guess these days nobody is willing to admit they’re wrong so it does stand out as being great when someone actually does take ownership of that
The crazy thing about making videos like this, is that some people are not gonna find out it was fake, and if they happen to see her IRL, they might say or do something to her. I don't know if I'd risk becoming a target of hate for a troll video. Having said that, it's flawlessly acted.
Finding out that video was fake is so sad, not because the actors were good but because society has failed to the point where things like this are genuinely believable.
@@unknownobserver4675yeah but I highly doubt anyone would do it on camera like this, and still think they're right.. unless they're a narcissist So I either went with 1. This is actinf, or 2. This is bait for clicks
It's understandable to be fooled by this. Sadly there are enough dumpster fires out there that do act that way. Hang in there, Charlie. We all got fooled together.
I wondered whether the video was staged, so I went to look up who the woman was - and got her apology video (Woman who rejected the cheesecake factory speaks out!!!) and was totally convinced it was legit because she maintained the same incredibly convincing level of narcissism. Looking back, that was on kevinwesleygenie's channel. 😄 She's incredibly brave for keeping up the act because she must have got some awful comments. Definitely very talented.
I'll admit I was fooled. I did have a moment of "This does seem like one of those misogynistic rage bait videos where dudes stand outside nightclubs and ask women leading questions to get them to say something that makes them look shallow or awful," but I've also dealt with a lot of narcissistic people in my life so I was ready to believe it. I'll have to be more cautious from now on.
Holy wow, knowing that was staged makes me give props to both the guy and girl for their acting. Top notch! I absolutely hated her and felt horrible for the guy, so they did an amazing job!
We exist in a time where I can no longer tell when someone is sarcastic/trolling or being completely serious. That being said they did a good job at acting the skit out, so props to them.
I yelled out "how did she roll down the window? Did that man not put the car in park and grab his keys?" when I first saw the video. I feel so validated knowing my knee-jerk "this is fake" reaction wasn't just my delusion. Lol
I thought I was the only one when going through the comments yesterday so I actually left one saying that he had to be expecting it and left the key on so she could roll the window down. It's cool to see that other people picked the same thing out. I also thought the acting didn't look great but of course I was immediately biased after seeing the window thing.
@@SmolPotatowo on your daily driver? I won’t even buy a car with power windows unless it also has one touch up and down. I couldn’t imagine having a daily with manual windows but I also spend a huge amount of time in my car for work.
Damn, the dating couple got me hook, line, and sinker. I was genuinely fuming watching that. They could both have a hell of an acting career if they don't already.
seeing charlie’s smile sparked a gleam in my eye and a slight palpitation of the heart. my grandmother was watching as well and now she can walk again. my goodness, may charlie inspire millions once more
i was watching this in my history class and my teacher saw and said he used to watch you 10 years ago. That’s a pretty good achievement, keep doing you, Charlie ❤
I was fooled! For a moment I believed Charlie was genuinely fooled...but turns out, it was an act of sheer folly on my part. Charlie White, lead character of The Hunger Games (single handedly carried the entire franchise) could never be fooled!
I would just like to say when I first started watching this channel I totally fell for the ongoing "Charlie had a significant role in the Hunger Games movies" joke. There was a solid 2-3 months I believed this. I haven't watched the movies. I felt betrayed when I finally found the explanation video where it was just his arm in one shot. 😂
Truly one of the most plot twists of all time. In all seriousness, did they really think that this was the best way to teach people about serious issues???
I'd say it's a reasonable attempt. People's attention spans have decreased to a dangerous amount. Making videos with a point is so dependent on advertising / making a good "hook" that a lot of cases will just completely miss their own point. This got people riled up in exactly the intended way.
The anabolic steroid use is just one part of a much larger performance enhancing drug rabbit hole. It's wild how much goes on behind the scenes in every top level athletic pursuit. I was introduced to this all the way back in 2008 watching a doc called Bigger, Stronger, Faster done by Chris Bell. Definitely still worth a watch as it holds up till this day.
Another thing about that video is that it hits a lot of triggers that piss people off, from bad dates to dissing the Cheesecake factory. Also a very easily hateable entitled woman is a recipe for viral hate clicks.
It’s is literally incel hate clicks as well as racist hate clicks which usually are one in the same. It’s honestly gross to me that people do this because those idiots are going to use videos like this to justify their hatred of women especially black women. Glad it got proved fake but it’ll still be talked about like how that one fake case of a robber breaking into someone’s house and getting hurt sued the owner. That’s not real but people STILL use it as if it’s a fact and how the law works when it’s NOT.
Fooled me. Props to the director though. The superior Dhar Mann has emerged, using situations that can be believable and not over the top staged. I applaud you dear creator
There are 100% real women like this, plenty of them, the most insane thing that makes it hard to believe it’s real is the guys reaction to the situation.
@@amariahrobertson5557 this has become the joke now, how since this skit was satire and not real, now his reaction to the skit was “also fake”, using godlike acting just like the people in the video. Do try to keep up.
Honestly thank you, I've been working so hard and I just haven't been getting bigger, it's good to know this so I can be happy with my natural self as I keep improving
It’s big of you to admit your mistakes Charles. I’m glad we can move on from this now, and I hope in the future we can apply what we’ve learned to prevent something as embarrassing as this 🙏😢
How is this embarrassing? It's staged, but really well done. Charlie is just a human too. I don't see a reason to feel embarrassed about this, since the video was made to fool people into thinking it was real. You make it sound like it's the ultimate shame to fall for a video like this. Kinda weird to me, ngl.
There are several that have fooled me , guess I'm in good company! 😁 it awesome to see someone can admit it when something like this happens, thanks Charlie!!😁
I knew it the moment someone made an interview about them, and the person who made the "interview" is a clickbait actor too, from other viral TikToks. I recognize him immediately because he fooled me before.
Almost thought he was going to bring up Sam Sulek. They're two of the most seemingly wholesome/genuine fellas on youtube. Btw Charles if you see this a silly lil Sam Sulek video from you would do big numbers guaranteed.
I would like to add, and I'm surprise Charlie didn't say anything about this. Your genetics plays a large part, and your dedication, min-maxing does too. If you have good RNG genetics, and you put a lot of effort into it, you definitely can look super human. That being said, like 99% of those influencers are using roids, and the crazy thing is, it's hard to verify unless they let you into their life, displaying casual routines. Want to see a MONSTER of a man? Jujimufu, literally close to greek godliness. Does he use roids? NOPE! You will see that he tells you a lot of problems with achieving his body, that a lot of roid users would rarely have on the forefront of their mind, he tells you about dangers, recovery all sorts of wild crap. He literally WROTE THE BOOK on recovery and it's importance. Don't trust every influencer, in fact, don't trust any of them. Be critical when you're listening to them, in fact, be similar to Charlie, LITERALLY Moist CRITICAL, be aware, and listen. Love you guys, be safe, don't do roids, especially if you don't look deep into what it does to you.
Part of the reason I was convinced, the girl in the video acted exactly like my ex did when we had an argument. So i bought it cause i've personally dealt with someone who acted like that
honestly this is a good promotion for their acting career since they were good enough to fool so many mainstream outlets hopefully they get some roles from it
Man, I respect you for owning up to it. I just found out today and feel like a dork. This reminds me of the Angry German Kid who made that famous fake video smashing up his keyboard, in order to satire rage-filled idiot kid gamers. Many people who remember that video still don't realize it was fake. Its hard to live down a great performance.
I thought it was maybe fake at first, but then I saw an interview with the two of them and that made me think it was real. Either way, I think it's a good guideline for guys to follow with how that dude reacted. Keep your cool, don't freak out, but put your foot down and stand up for yourslef. If someone is trying to use you, you can take their ass home or let them get an uber and never have to deal with them again.
