Thanks for this video, I’ve just started 2 weeks ago with 129 locs and I felt weird about it because the girlies on YT and IG have less and thicker locs, meanwhile this video made me understand it’s actually fine to have slightly smaller because it’s not what cool girls have, and also style versatility is an important aspect for me… anyway thanks lol appreciate this video
They look amazing ✨😍! I definitely wish I had chose instant locs as my starting technique! I’m mostly enjoying mine now though🤗! Thanks for sharing ❤️!
Girllllll ! I was like man I need someone to do my hair but I bet she isn't in georgia 😑 sis is in Georgia !!!! & like an hour from me so guess what ....yup! I'm setting that appointment up Pronto! Your hair looks so amazing and I hope your RU-vid continues to flourish ✨️ Question: Should I get a trim before getting locked ?
Iktr! It was meant to be lol! You don’t have to because once you’re loc’d split ends can’t necessarily damage your hair or locs anymore. But I would say a trim wouldn’t hurt because you can start fresh.
@@ShaDeanaZ I was thinking that. & yes girl I have my appoint for consult and as soon as those m books open next week I'm on it 😂 had to set me alarm and all
i started my locs about 2 weeks ago on my own and the parting isnt the best, ive been seeing alot of videos like this, maybe its a sign to go to a loctician😂 good vid tho
I have 3b/3c hair and I started with finger coils. I just comb them out and I'm going to start with instant locs this time to have more loc. My first time I only had 41 and I'm going to get 80 this time.
Hey, you’ll see a be a big difference in your grid and your locs will look alot fuller. So that’s great to hear! Just focus on your grid and loc size so you can get them exactly how you want. An it’ll be rough at first but don’t give up on your instant loc journey. I have other videos to avoid mistakes on your journey and also what to expect when you get them. Check them out for more advice. 💓
I start my second set two month ago with instant Locs and I have 42!! I want them thick and I also understand not all of them will be the same size and length. I’m loving them so far .
Yes, not all of them will be the same size. I’m going to count my locs soon to see how many I have. But I’m glad you’re enjoying your instant loc journey so far! 💓
Thanks! You have so much patience to do that. I definitely couldn’t comb mine out on my own, so I left that up to my loctician! But wow you had soo many, I’ll be sure to check out your loc journey to see the difference! 💓
Thanks, and my loctician did the same thing! So she started wearing a thumb guard. I’m not sure exactly what it’s called but just google a rubber fingertip or something, because that’s what it looks like to me.
As a person who didn’t get instant locs and actually went through the locing process she fuckin did that !!!! Like they are literally perfect . How much did she charge ?
Thank you so much! 💓 The price varies depending on the amount of locs you want and the length of your hair. Please view this link to see her instant locs pricing nappyloczbyalyy.as.me/schedule.php

Hi, it’s in the description under the “shop & book with my loctician” tab. Her website has all her info and her social medias are the same also. Her socials are @nappyloczbyalyymiche and her website is www.nappyloczbyalyy.com 💓
I started with two strand twists, I’m jus over here like whyyyy did I know nothing about instant locs 😒 I like these better but I refuse to start over cuz I’m already 5 months in 😩 but these are so cute ☺️ why did I have to watch this video 😭😭
Thanks! Instant Locs are just a good starter loc method. However, it doesn’t really matter how you start because at the end of the day we’ll all have locs. That’s a win in itself! It’s not how your locs start, it’s how they finish! 💓
Yes, this method is called instant locs. The crochet needle forms a unified loc which tangles my real natural hair together. It becomes permanent & won’t unravel. However, it can be combed out.
@@ShaDeanaZ Thank You! I really appreciate it. I’m thinking about it. Not sure if I my hair can hold it. I’m relocking my hair. I had 4 years of growth and due to menopause I cut them out years ago. Currently suffering from scarring alopecia. So I have bald patches, thinning hair and tired of cutting my hair really low just to look presentable. So I’m currently 4 months into locking( double strand twist).
I’m so sorry to that! But hopefully since locs are low manipulation, it can help with the thinning and help hide the bald patches. Also, depending on certain loc styles you wear hopefully you can find some to try and hide those spots.
Hey, you can kind of see how instant locs are created in my video. However, there are some better videos that show how you can do them on yourself. Try researching more videos on RU-vid. 💓
I recommend waiting until your hair fully locs up. With instant locs, it appears that you have locs when in reality your natural hair is just tangled to make fake locs. However, overtime your hair will loc up. I think bleaching it will make it brittle & dry so I recommend waiting until your hair locs & hardens so you won’t have to worry about it breaking or falling off. I highly recommend bleaching your hair before getting instant locs. But overall your instant locs can be bleached 💓
It’s like a thumb guard to protect her from stabbing herself. The crochet needle is very sharp & she’s stabbed through her thumb before, so now she wears it for protection.
