Congratulations Cody!! You inspire me. In November I was assaulted and robbed. Broke my hand, pelvis, nose, eye socket, had brain bleeding... 4 surgeries in one week. 3 months bed bound. I'm doing 2 ultra marathons this May. Spartan ultra, then 50 miler. 10 more Spartans, hyrox, and a marathon through the rest of this year.

Congrats man!! All the best to you and Kelsey :) also I think if your knee keeps flaring, give it a good rest more than just a few days otherwise it'll come back to haunt you every time (personal experience...). I'd say try exercising and working out in other ways or even things like swimming which is more gentle on the joints but still getting cardio in. Take 2 weeks off like that and do some physiotherapy at the same time with painkillers and it'll probably get better slowly. It sucks when it gets in the way of training and you want to keep going but you have to take care of your body when it tells you it's too much. I also know people who praised joint supplements for cartilage and bone and said it made a big difference to their joint pains so maybe worth looking into?

Cody for the knee pain - ionic minerals liquid magnesium and silica, pour a capful of each into your water and drink daily. Works wonders. Up the silica amount the first few days if needed. Knee pain=gone.
if its pain on the outside of your knee, look up it band treatment !! the it band is a ligament on the side of your upper leg and ends in the knee and can be very painful when under too much stress. you can do a few injury prevention exercises that wil help a LOT (at least they did for me)

My only advice as parents (aka unsolicited advice): be involved in your kid's lives (not saying you won't), but if daddy isn't as involved as mommy is, the kid will always ask mommy for stuff. Hence, making mommy say "ask your dad" because she'll need a break and expect you to do your dad part without us asking. Wait to have kids... If you want.....
