Chuck, don’t worry I watched your channel because of you. I like you doesn’t matter if you do DoorDash Spark Uber eats doesn’t matter I will still watch the channel.
@@lauramorris2663 and just friendly to pretty much everyone I’ve seen him come across, even if they had a puss on their face/ were slammed busy in the restaurant or something. Even when he’s in a rush, he says please and thank you and holds doors for people or if somebody has the door open and gestures him to go out before they go in he’s always super grateful and expresses that. For the most part I’d like to think that he does things the way I do even though I think most people are friendlier in his neck of the woods. And obviously his family is very lovely from what I’ve seen, and I’m sure they are. I think a lot of us would watch if he went fishing with one of the boys or something. With his personality I’m sure Chuck will do great. I have no idea exactly what happened, but I saw the title. so even though I just started watching, I have some idea sort of what happened, but not exactly - and anyway I won’t comment on anything DD related until I hear what happened. Except that, maybe his next batch of hats and T-shirts should be redesigned. 😢 but then again, I’m sure they will sell but just don’t know if he wants to give that platform any advertisement.
The well paying orders make up for many low paying orders and people deserve to be tipped for their service. That is the way things have been done for decades.

I recently had a freak accident on a delivery, pulled up to the parking. Everything was fine, no noise or nothing. After delivery I got in my car and slowly backed out. Then I heard a noise. I thought I was driving over garbage underneath my car. Come to find out as I was reversing somehow my car lowered because there was unevenness in the concrete. Well anyhow it seems that the side panel of my car got caught on the lower end to the speed bump in front of the parking space and it pulled out my panel tearing off the screws completely. Probably $800/$1500 fix. To Top it off I too got deactivated, happened a couple of days ago. So you see the entitled person is you because we pay the cost to be the boss and charge like a boss. In reality we are the victims here cause this is a business opportunity which should have us picking up high paying batches enough to make $300 plus a day. Instead we get sent crumbs hour after hour and I haven't even mentioned the waiting times between orders nor the fact that a 10 mile delivery is actually 20 miles cause we have to get back to our work area. Top that with the psychological games these apps play with us! So I suggest you start showing some f appreciation to your delivery drivers from here on down! Tysm
New subscriber here. Recently retired and delving into the delivery gig apps. Mostly doing Roadie right now it's very low-pressure. Thinking of doing Spark because the miles are adding up quickly with Roadie. Anyway, I just wanted to say I subscribed because I don't want your channel to suffer either. You kinda remind me of me... Good luck out there!
Look at it this way Chuck, no more worrying about if you’re platinum anymore. You were spiraling out of control with them. You’re an independent contractor. Doesn’t matter how well you did because they deactivated you anyway. I just dash. I don’t take anything personally and never cared about DD’s ridiculous hoops they want me to jump thru. You’ll be ok Chuck.
Same. If I don't get a Dash Now, I use Uber Eats. When it gets busy enough, DD gives me the dash now. I have a 17% acceptance rate and guess what, I make it work for me. I make $24/hr by declining the majority of the orders.
Everyone should just stop picking up at Starbucks. Let them hire their own drivers, or let the barista’s deliver them by car. I just refuse any Starbucks, and Popeyes orders. That’s just me. We’re independent contractors, we don’t have to put up with it. Let em deactivate you. I’m sure there are people on here that disagree. Let them take it.
I like pedro, I think hes a great speaker in some sense, but I unsubscribed to his channel when DD public relations reached out to him to ask his audience questions.
I’m not even a gig worker and I enjoy your content with or without DD. Of the delivery people I watch, you are far and away the most polite telling everyone to enjoy their food, have a great day and that you appreciate their business (hell you even did that for Starbucks customers). The other thing I have noticed is any of the restaurant experiences you have depend 100% on the individual employee. Some are very pleasant and helpful while others simply ignore you and everybody else. I truly believe the fast food chain restaurants are scraping the “bottom of the barrel” to get anyone to work there and it shows.
Chuck: you are one of the most polite, dedicated and efficient drivers out there. Keep doing exactly what you are doing. This is a loss for DoorDash and all the restaurants/customers who enjoyed seeing you every week. Move on, you are killin it w Spark!!
This isn’t a loss for door dash . Let’s be honest door dash doesn’t care about having quality dashers. They care about liability and profitability…. They have million others waiting to take his place. They could care less, that’s why they get a bot to fire you. Not 1 person on door dash knows he got DEACTIVATED besides the computers
@@CheekyChops710 understood. But you always want your company to be represented by good people. Chuck is a good person. Even tho there are many waiting for his spot, the chances of getting another Chuck is slim to none. Your point on liability and profitability as there main concern is well taken tough.
@@B_Bodziak Yes, I saw that too, but he mentioned previous encounters that weren't nice. Just saying, if you have a problem with a restaurant report it to corporate.
Well, people nowadays think confrontation is harassment, so….. You are the friendliest dasher ever, just not right one evil restaurant can take someone down like this. Great reminder that we’re all disposable to these gig apps. I’m sure I speak for all your fans… I’ll follow you no matter which platform you work. You’re our BC! 💚
The fact that DD literally takes anyone’s side but the driver is what gets me seeing red. I was also deactivated for something stupid and didn’t have a chance to prove that I didn’t break any policies with them. Anyway chuck long story short, don’t sweat it and know we will be here to continue your support because your one of us. I get it it sucks giving 100% only to be cut off for stupid reasons. Chuck keep up the great work and don’t change for these apps, bottom line is they don’t deserve us.
@@Brandoneatsfoodadventures wouldn't you? One makes them money both ways, serviced by many other drivers that also make them money by completing orders... Or, drop a restaurant because one driver refused to turn his camera off after being asked repeatedly, and filmed it and posted it? DD is in this to make money. A driver could be holding all the evidence in the world against a restaurant and DD will still side with the restaurant.
Chuck I did 1387 trips thru spark. One morning in October I logged in and was terminated. After several attempts I still do not know why. Be careful. I now do door dash, Uber eats, and Grub hub. I am constantly busy. Yes the miles are more, my money is about the same. I am 71 and still hustling. lol. Love your channel. Mike from Tennessee!!!
I am so careful not piss anyone off any stores even if I don't agree with policy. I have been treated extremely poorly at one store in particular by employees but won't ever make a fuss about it.
Hi Chuck. Just a word of caution, be VERY careful when recording a spark shopping order or pickup. Walmart does not like people recording their employees or the people inside of their stores. They can also ban you from their store, too. I use to work at a Walmart, so I know this is true. Just a FYI.
Agree. Crazy Walmart fired the employee that filmed this lady abusing her kid. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xy9l_ZQGaKE.htmlsi=FExzfsqRWdN44BEH
I been doing this stuff full time for almost 9 months, and yeah Id have to agree with u in some sense, in one perspective I love it, and in another I hate it LOL!!!! But yeah I agree with you!!!!
I have no idea why I watch videos like this since I have never done this type of work and I have no desire to but there’s something so relaxing about this type of content. I think it’s partly just because you’re so wholesome and watching you interact with people feels so natural. I’m awkward as hell so it’s nice to see people interact the proper way 😂 hope you’re doing alright these day!
I cant stand stores who make it as difficult as possible for us to grab and go. Bro I’m not here to place an order the order that’s being ordered on doordash has already BEEN ORDERED. THEYRE YOUR CUSTOMER TOO. If only the owners of these places knew how miserable these employees make it for dashers they’d understand why dashers aren’t picking up as much from them lol like do yall want this food delivered out to our customer or what? Lmao
Not only doordashers watch these channels I don't do doordash and I'm subscribed to your channel sometimes it's just fun to watch people make money I'm multi-app so it's fun to see other people multi app
Long time watcher. Just subscribed today to support you! You were making me a nearvous wreck trying to keep your platinum status. Taking so many BAD 'high paying offers' just to keep your status. I love you and your videos, and love your wife too.
It's also violating what it means to be an independent contractor. Once they make you schedule yourself and accept no tip orders to have access to the platform you are no longer an independent contractor they could try to say that you are but that's just not so and I expect a huge class action lawsuit in their future! 😅
@@pjt3887yes they’re definitely will be something with a legal challenge eventually. They also are in direct violation of their own contract. The contract they have with us that they wrote specifically states that contractor chooses when to access the DoorDash platform(because that’s a requirement to be considered a contractor) yet we can’t choose when to access the DoorDash platform. They control that.
@@pjt3887 access to orders is not denied because you have a low acceptance rate. No one is deactivated for declining orders. No one is forced to accept any order over another. Now, anyone chasing incentives is doing so on their own accord. Chasing bonuses is optional and not required to be a delivery driver for Doordash. The only way to be deactivated is squarely on the driver. Breaking rules or unassigning too many orders, which effects DD's business and they have the right to terminate any agreement with a driver when that happens too much as you are now damaging their image and their capabilities to make money.
Gotta say I saw that coming, Chuck. After Pedro got deactivated I said to myself, "oh no, Chuck better watch out". I'd guess Dashing Trader would be next. Anyway, It'll be fine. Keep doing your thing. Your retired teacher buddy.
Needed to stop obsessing about door dash. Door dash dropped you like you was nothing. If you get reactivated, cherry pick your orders. Rely on spark. Door dash offers suck anyways. High pay offers 4 dollars for 2 miles. Just really. Just stop obsessing about door dash.
@@DKEfamilyadventures do you know if the speedway interaction is on RU-vid? If so, where. I got deactivated for a similar reason in 17. Long time ago. Just got back on with new email and phone number. Even got through facial software and social chekr
Just got here from watching Pedros newest video that talks about this exact thing. Filming in stores or at homes is a violation of the TOS. I think DD is really starting to crack down on this now.
Chuck, don't worry. You are too entertaining to miss a beat. I think most people watch your channel for you. I haven't delivered for Doordash in four months. Don't miss it at all.
Definitely and any of us who told him to possibly change one or two things he was doing just mainly with Starbucks - it’s only because we want the best for him. ❤
I totally agree with you about Starbucks. They treat us the same here at most of them. I acted a fool one day to get my last order and haven't been back since then. I'm sorry you got deactivated, Chuck.
That's interesting you bring that up. Twice this week I had 2 merchants speak to me like I was despised. One was the GM and she clearly had issue with DD and DD drivers. I messaged DD about it I also had someone attempt to slide a fake ID for the first time. I knew it immediately, but didn't want to come off accusatory, noticed it was expired, but I attempted to scan anyway just for customer service reasons, then the person tried to bribe me with cash. I said no, it's illegal and violated my contract with DD. I returned 10 miles, for DD to give me a ... Wait for it...$2. also support hung up on me 3 times trying to resolve this I've always been pleasant and have a great business acumen and customer service skills. Today was just as bad. I was the 4th driver to a restaurant that had already given 3 drivers this order and they said no, I'm not making this order again. I don't blame the restaurant. I feel like I am living with the Benny Hill show playing behind me. Your RU-vid will be fine. You are easy to watch and you make me chuckle. Keep pushing!
I have a Burger King in one of the towns I deliver out of. The morning manager literally cussed me out over something another dasher did (they went through drive-through while I waited at the locked door to be let in). I was polite, got the order and while on the way to deliver, I called DD support and explained the situation. They said they cannot do much but in 3 months, I have yet to see another order at that specific location (I still get Burger King orders in other nearby cities).
Hey Chuck, I just stumbled across your channel and love the content ( Now a Subscriber). I multi-app in the OKC area and chased down that DD Platinum to see if the grass was truly greener, but found I was making less money and putting more miles at 85% AR than I was at 10% which is where I usually hover. DD drivers are a dime a dozen and disposable at any time over BS reports. Keep on Keeping on brother!
I’ll watch your channel no matter what you do. We like you and your personality and your polite ways. I’m a gig delivery driver too and you make me feel like I’m doing something valuable in this world.
Sorry to hear you were deactivated. I have not doordashed (or done any other gig work) since before you started your channel. I just happened to stumble upon you. There's not often that I miss a night. You've become part of my nightly routine. Not just for deliveries but keeping up with you. You truly seem to be one of the kindest humans. Well maybe not to Starbucks 😂 your loyal 'fans' will be here in the end. Oh and have no fear, I fall asleep enough that I reply your videos over and over so I'll just fall asleep more often and you'll get more views 😉
Just a suggestion…I would get the ice cream last so it’s not getting soft while you’re shopping for the other items. It really didn’t take you long though. I just freak out since it’s so hot outside.😂
@@emma70707 Exactly. It takes seconds to add a ton of value to a customers experience with the service (regardless, at least to me, if they tipped well or not).
Definitely get cold stuff last, it is recommended in the app when you go through the training when you start Spark. They say grab perishable foods last so they are cold/fresh longer. I still put cold foods in cold bags in my car. They are a few bucks at most and customers appreciate the hell out of seeing their ice cream, milk, butter, etc was in a cold bag on the ride over. During the Summer months I also put as much cold stuff in the shade at a customers preferred drop off location as I can. Also, unless specifically told not to, I will know after taking my picture and ending the delivery so they can get their cold stuff in quicker as I do not know when they will be updated on the delivery (from my own experience it has been as much as 10 minutes later, food already brought in and put away before Walmart's app popped up the delivery was here).
This is the first time watching a video of yours. It makes no sense to me when a company treats a dasher bad - we are there to pick up an order for a customer and should be treated with the same respect a customer would. That Starbucks location should be reported for their behavior - if a customer placed an order to go they would not be required to wait in line. If that happened to me I would report it through the app and also text the customer the reason for the delay. I've had restaurants that were disrespectful to me and I never accepted another offer for them.
Aww Chuck I'm not going anywhere I like watching you do the sparks alot more than the door dash even though I'm still on sparks waiting list I'm learning from you..and your right door dash is more stressful to me.
Hey my friend, I have two Starbucks in my general area and both stores treat me the exact same way you are being treated, I think it’s a corporate thing or those baristas are just unhappy people
@@joewilliams9098 decline a location enough and the algorithm simply stops sending them to you. I have two pizza places around me that I declined 5 or 6 of their orders in a row over a week earlier this year. Haven't seen an order from them since early April (they are still on Doordash, confirmed by them being on the customer app still).
There has to be some policy about deliveries being lowest priority because here they won't acknowledge you and other times someone will just put the finished order near the bags and not bag it. But I know all of this already so it'd be silly for me to go in there and get mad about it.
@@MrElephantBeach I experienced that at the places I called and complained about to support. It took several calls, declines, and about a week or two but it has also been months since I saw an order at those places. Others have literally looked at me when I said I was there to pick up an order, they asked me, "are you staying to complete the delivery?" I said yes, they THEN started the order. Some I walked out when DD gave me the free unassign, others I called support on (these seemed like nothing changed as this could be store policy to not start the order till we are physically inside). It is very clear that delivery orders are treated as "do it last" type orders as they focus on drive through then customers standing there, then they do DD when they have time. It is unfair as the delivery order is paid for already and they should be completing orders as close to the order they came in as they can but most locations do not. Things like this are why I focus more on Spark then 99% on shop and deliver.
That's the way it is in the Disney world Star Bucks you have to stand in line. You can't talk to anyone except the person taking orders and cashiering.
@@instacartshopperdallas if enough drivers would complain to support themselves, not ask the restaurant to do anything (don't even let them know you have a problem with them), and then decline orders to those restaurants something would change. As it is, simply complaining online or to your buddies is not doing anything. Sure, it feels good to "call out" these places but ultimately, not much is going to come of it. Hit DD and Uber Eats where it hurts, their earnings, and things suddenly start changing. It works with any company.
Have you seen the viral video? The customer opens the door and tries to hand her dasher a cash tip (the ring camera caught the interaction) and the Dasher immediately looks mortified and says “no, I put a note in your bag, please keep your money” and so on, apparently she wrote a nasty note and slipped it in the sealed delivery bag. She panicked and left, I would have (I’m a dasher and first off accept the fact not everyone tips and would never confront the customer) said, hey, I accidentally dropped a note in your bag, and not one going to my friends house next, could you open the bag and hand it to me, I’m such a good!” 😂 I bet she got deactivated. We really have to accept that for a variety of reasons, none of which are any of our business, we might not get tipped, and it’s part of the experience.
Whoa WTF Chuck ! That is some miserable behavior by that restaurant … I’m sure that policy and behavior is NOT brand standard ! We are here for YOU though not DoorDash and I think you’ll get reactivated anyway ! But WOW !
I’m too cheap (and poor) for that place (the only time I get anything at Starbucks is the very rare occasion that I am on the interstate and desperately need coffee but even there they have other places that have coffee!) even when I can afford it. so I can join in. Lol. Chick-fil-A I’m never very near. But that’s the only place I ever tried to kinda / maybe boycott in theory (just a thought to myself not like I promised anyone) and failed miserably, as soon as my younger daughter was gonna be passing there and asked if I wanted something. I may not agree with their politics, and maybe some locations are not great for Dashing (some are hopping in some markets but others apparently can make you wait a long time and their customers don’t tip as well as The other locations Idk 🤷♀️) but man, the chicken is so good. 😊 Anyway, I will not step foot in Starbucks unless they are giving it for free or it’s the only store within 100 miles which won’t happen. OK no more rambling for me. I am unpausing this video and finding out what actually happened. Even though that sounds like it had to do with the Starbucks. 😢
@@rachmunshine9474Chick Fil A is the only place I’ve ever boycotted. That’s just because of the religious crap and how they make their employees behave

I endure a lot of the anger issues myself, dashing in general has been a total nerve racking thing, almost a therapy of sorts. Since I started dashing a year ago my fuse has grown...many times over just to get thru a day. Guess I'm saying, your anger isn't totally your fault....there is many broken and faulty things about the whole food delivery work system. Keep your chin up...because of you I will look into Spark. Go with the flow bro....everyday can't be sh#7..tomorrow is new.
These stores and restaurants forget....that we are just the middleman, that these orders are THEIR customers, not ours. When they figure that out maybe they'll stop treating us like crap. I get tired of getting in line with customers to pick up orders and then be handed cold sloppy food. Frankly we care more and treat their customers better than they do.

Your content means more to me and I’m sure many others than dd. We’re, well me and so many others are here because Your one of a kind and we dig you man 😊❤
Hi Chuck, I watch you several times a week from London UK. I don't care where the orders come from. I just like watching you. Lovely commentary and lovely manners. You were pushed to your limit to react that way
When you work for door dash you are an EMPLOYEE. You are not your own boss as some people like to claim, you play by the rules of the platform and you get fired if you do not do so. I think berating a barista who was just following the guidelines that they were given is really poor in taste. Especially seeing as they are probably just some young kid. Let this be a lesson that you don’t get to do whatever you want as a dasher just because it’s more convenient FOR YOU. You have to play by the same rules as everyone else. Good luck to you.
Your deactivation from DD won't affect my viewing of your content at all. I really enjoy your positive attitude, your friendliness with everyone you meet, and now, your willingness to tell it like it is when a business is consistently passive-aggressive. Their reaction is typical of those who have a light shined upon them when they are not being professional, yet are too arrogant to see their own faults and make a course correction. Carry on and stay strong !
I may be nit picky but I cringed pretty hard when you set the raw chicken breast package on top of the soda box. It may take an extra minute or two to put a plastic bag on packages of raw meat but it would be much more hygienic. Just a thought.
Any raw meats I deal with go into one of those bags they provide in that area then they go into a plastic bag for delivery by themselves. Do not bag raw beef and chicken together. When I load the order in my car, I have meats in separate cold bags (not my Doordash bags). A lof of my Spark customers meet at the door and we chit chat while I unload their stuff, or give them the tote and let them take it inside and unload it. They are so appreciative of little things like meats and cleaning supplies being in separate totes from the rest of the order. It is not hard to give great customer service.
This is my first time seeing your videos and you seem like an upbeat, very nice and genuine person. The only issue that I have is with your videos is you showing customers house numbers, tag numbers, and faces on your RU-vid. You never know if these people are lawyers, doctors, police officers etc and these people deserve privacy. These customers didn’t consent to being recorded and this could get them hurt or robbed, etc. If you can think about it and at-least burry faces and tag numbers.
@@MrElephantBeach another option while in businesses was to point the camera down, i.e. don't be so obvious you are recording. He found reasons to decline that advice so yeah, you are right, he would find something wrong with blurring faces/car tags/house numbers, etc (and the delivery platforms will probably eventually deactivate him and others for displaying that information in his videos).
Chuck you are the kindest man. I love watching your videos. I’m thinking about just sticking to Spark myself. I do less DoorDash now that I’ve started Spark. More money and less miles driven.
I think that by showing customers and their homes online is a violation of the rules and will result in the deactivation of every RU-vid dasher. Am I wrong? Also, you can get a Starbucks store licensing agreement but cannot buy a franchise.
I'm sorry they lied and got you deactivated Chuck. Even though I'm secretly happy for you so now you won't be manipulated by dd. But since you put in an appeal I hope you win the appeal. I will continue NOT going to Starbuck's. I'm glad you did dd too Chuck because you made your channel and it has brought a lot of us together.
Regardless of the issues with that particular Starbucks, (which should have been reported to DD, btw, and I can't imagine no one else has complained. What you described is like some🤯crazy, 'Soup-Nazi', b.s., *Seinfeld reference*) I have been skeptical about a lot of your content that violates Terms Of Service agreements with just about all such platforms. I constantly see store employees, customers, addresses of residences, their vehicles and license plates, etc., in your videos. You are very polite, punctual, professional, and entertaining. You just need to edit personal information out, or blur faces, or block camera-view at certain times. Other content creators have been deactivated for less. I've often wondered how or why RU-vid doesn't flag for content of licensed music, particularly during your opening sequences.🤷♂️Are those songs, "approved", or something? Or, less than 3 seconds is okay?🤷♂️ Anyway, best of luck! Maybe you can get back on DD and just be more careful(?) Meanwhile, there's tons more apps! 🧙♂️🌈💰arigato!
I agree with some of the other comments. I watch because of you. I enjoy the spark content as well. You could always get your lovely assistant Heather to sign up and y’all could still do it on beach days perhaps.
What happens when a customer calls in to support for whatever delivery platform and says, "I was told by the app that a "obviously woman's name" would be delivering my order but a bearded older man delivered it, is everything okay?" I am not sure on DoorDash or Uber Eats but it is explicitly against the rules of Spark to do that. You can bring a spouse/friend/signficant other with you (no kids or pets allowed in the car though - curbside will decline your pickup if you bring either). The only person that can complete the order is the person on the Spark account. So, many people have the person on the account ride as the other person drives - saving money in areas where pay to park might be needed if alone. It saves time and money on tickets if you deliver where double parking would be required, etc. There are many reasons to have a spouse help out but they cannot complete (take the delivery to the door for instance, nor use your account to deliver).
Awe man! Sorry about that. But as you say, it will be fine. You have Spark and Uber. I will still continue to watch your videos because of you. Keep on keeping on!
Sorry about door dash Chuck… spark is where it is I heard. We support you with anything you do. I don’t comment much but had to say that. Will continue to watch you everyday.
Same here. They are only on Uber Eats in my area though. I simply stay far away from that area of town when doing Uber Eats because if I go within 3 miles of one of the 5 Starbucks I will get an order there.

@JasonBourne-hu1ox just like gig video makers with their exaggerated reactions to a low paying order. They do it for drama because they make more on RU-vid than they do actually delivering. All about those views, getting people to share with friends because of something done/said in the video.
Why does this guy cringe me so much. I really have no idea. Maybe the voice, arrogance. Idk. Ya you made 100 bucks in 3 hours also add in gas and maintenance. Isn't that great.
