When you pull it back it locks the rear lest brake up for quick steering action and when you push it it will lock the right bracket up and do the same in turning action.

The DOT and EPA don't check used or new like MPG. The manufacturer uses the honor system for estimates MPG and high elevation hydrocarbon leakage. GM has the only on and runs in a sealed garage and monitored for 3 days. The ceiling has a net holding nitrogen filled ballon's. They expand and the contract depend on the temperature. Starting at room temp, they cool it to zero for 24hrs, then 100 degree's F. Then allowing it to return to 72 degrees F. They monitor hydrocarbons from the room the entire time with a printout included. Their are some as advantages to working with ACDelco at the time. DK, ASE Master Tech since 1978, retired.
