Seriously amazing. I had a call about 5 years ago from one of these places pretending to be the IRS, however I immediately knew it was bogus. It makes me extremely angry that they target the elderly without remorse. This video is why I became a supporter of you today and I love the videos when you are speaking to the scammers and calling them by name and freaking them out. Evidently the scammers were not paying the cops enough in protection money. Those scammers will be back scamming within a month.

I worked for Geek Squad for many years, and while I moved on from there quite a long time ago, I still clearly remember people coming in saying "You people sold me antivirus, and then called me and locked me out of all my files!". Scammers posing as Microsoft and Geeksquad were by far the most prevalent, but I saw some weird ones. While most of the computers were fixed with a simple password removal or forced system recovery to an earlier date, many of the people I worked with really lost everything. I have a deep personal hatred for all forms of tech scamming to this day. Thank you for everything that you do, Scambaiter, as well as many of your peers I am also subscribed to!

I read that there was a similar operation in Delhi...... awesome work guys. Going to share something close to my hear. I remember working for Microsoft Desktop support many years ago and helping out really old people for simple tasks. Two issues that I worked on and have never forgotten were: 1) Helping a woman install Service pack 2 for Windows XP and I came to know that she had lost her husband recently. I could not fix the issue but I tried to talk to her from one human to another. It was a really long call but I am still glad that I could be there for someone grieving a lost one. Not sure if you guys know what AHT(Average handling Time) is but I alone messed up the AHT for the entire team for a months score card. 2) There was a patient admitted in some Hospital in the US and he somehow always ended up with child lock enabled on Internet explorer on his laptop. It was a simple task of disabling it from the registry but the person was close to going away forever. I was able to help him twice before he passed away. These scammers bring immense amount of shame to the profession to which I have given most of my career. I hope that their families understand what these guys are up to and hopefully they get severely punished by the local Police and Justice departments.

Can you imagine how much easier it would be to collect the necessary evidence to arrest and prosecute these bottom feeders if law enforcement would proactively pursue it rather than rely on civilian freelancers to do their jobs? I think the only reason any of these people get arrested is so that the government appears to care. If it weren't for people like Scambaiter, Jim Brown, Perogi and a few others who aren't in it primarily for entertainment purposes, my guess is little would be done about it, if anything.

Worked for a company named Alorica. We remoted into a lot of computers and I felt like we were legit and helping. I was let go for being 'too helpful' when I was supposed to be transferring calls. I'd honestly wanted to help, save people money, and get them on their day. Videos like this make me question my old company's authenticity...

You should also look into a lot of these travel/airline ticket booking companies. A lot of companies act like they are the official airline helpline and charge people exorbitant amounts for date changes and cancelations meanwhile they do it for very little and pocketing the difference. Although it is not exactly a scam cause they do work for customers and get the job done but they still do not clearly state that they are a third party and not the airline itself

You take scam baiting to whole new level First they troll the scammers to waste their time, then hack their computer and now get them arrested and see them getting arrested live via the CCTV

Due to the size of the scam center i am forced to deduce that these guys were probably scamming and not protected by the cops therefore they were a sacrificial lamb for the cops to pretend as if they are taking down scammers while leaving the big money making operations intact.

I am very impressed with the Indian police droping their ego and working with outsiders meticulously to ensure a succesful raid and arrest. Although India has had extensive experience cooperating with different nations but often police don't like to be told what to do.
