Hey Pete, I'm not a body guy at all. I usually attack mechanical stuff and I'm more comfortable rebuilding an engine than painting. I'm helping my brother on his 2nd gen dodge. I've put new body mounts, rockers, and cab corners in so far. I've fiber filled over my welds and laying bondo now. My question is about bare metal. I know you don't like epoxy primer. Is it OK to spray normal high build over the bare metal? I'd rather stay away from the epoxy primer if I can.

Pete lighting you're hand if trained for feel and eyes are the best tools. You're hand is amazing for feel of improfections you're eye can't even see what you feel practice on a round surface. Make a bowling ball finish on round surface. Criss cross sanding is kelove you Pete.

I would of grabbed my 8 inch mud hog DA and got most of that off . But them damn 36 grit sheets are $5.00 ea lol . God that sucks but it’s gone now
