I know it is difficult, since you train and pay fees and travel and all that, but racing while sick is putting yourself first and not showing any level of concern for others. Just last year I sat out a race I had paid for, as I was not feeling well and did not want to affect anyone else. Was not covid, and I most likely could have raced, but I put others first.

If you think about it, the guy who rode away didn't need to out ride the field the whole time. He only had to out power the race on the uphill and maintain on the downhill. Plus cat 3s corner slowly,so he probably rode the corners better too.

Please don't race when you're sick like that. My teammate caught covid multiple times at races from people selfishly racing when they shouldn't have. The "Yellow Guy" is in his regular team kit, he won the bunch sprint for 2d and is now the PA state champ

Racing sick is a dick move. Even if it's something minor, as long as it's commutable your arenputting other riders at risk. Even a cold affects your fitness you pass strep or covid to someone you are are taking a week of training away from them and for covid there can be longer term effects. When I read the title I though maybe a stomach bug or something when he said sore throat instant disappointment.

I get it, you paid money, you took the time to go there, you were there, but at that point, as you describe it, it's getting worse from getting up in the morning to starting your race... at that point you should call it a day, you are causing yourself more harm than good and might be infecting others too. Since this is my first comment on your videos, I wanted to make sure to say, I've been enjoying watching you for the past few years!
