I GOT THE JOB!!!! 

You hit a key point, it’s not what you ask me to do… it’s all the stuff that comes with that seemingly simple task. The liability and threats that comes with those simple tasks, the communication, the accountability we have to possess in someone else’s nativity (grace), the awareness to read potential issues others can’t see and communicate back, how we have to have an awareness to effectively navigate emotionally sensitive situations/conversations with little praise for success while carrying the burden of our failured attempts. We are not getting paid for managing tasks, we get paid to “show up”. Those of us who have that ability know why we came! And a good manager goes to bat for you or is at least open enough to say I can’t meet that but here’s what I can do. Because they been there! Or else we have to advocate for ourselves! I used to be called arrogant and had to sit with a manger years ago. And I told her I deserve more pay. I outlasted everyone who came before me and after me. I survived all adversity (they ate me alive day after day after day I took L’s learning something new) and I’m still smiling. Those left can’t even do that anymore. You didn’t hire a tech. You hired a leader. She told me we don’t have any money. A week later I got a raise. She payed me my worth. All credit to God! Congratulations, on your new job! Slowly checking out your videos!
