Just show the nose down the inside at a potential overtaking corner, make the driver run the outside line which is slower, take the optimal line and racing speed, and then yeet them down the straight, making them look like absolute tools 😂

@@joshuaxiong8377 yea basically verstappen got jussst enough car alongside jimmy to no allow him to hit the first apex of the chicane (unless jimmer wanted to risk a CHOP of the wing and force max to slam the brakes to avoid, or have a collision.) Jimmy did the sensible thing and stayed wide, which allowed max to have the good line for the second apex, meaning his exit speed was higher than jimmys and hey presto that's a position

@@joshuaxiong8377 that also baffled me. i think max being ahead as they entered, he did technically lose time IN the corner, as they exit alongside each other. but i just figured max has a more adept right foot and was able to get power down sooner

That's one of the great things about iRacing. You do see and have some interaction with some of the big names in racing. I've had practice sessions dicing around with Rubens Barrichello in the Ferrari GTE. Even talked a bit of setup shop with him as I was in the same car at the then newly released Detroit track.

Sounds like somebody who got to F1, no offense to him at all. To make the cut at that level you have to be the best and know you’re the best. I’m not surprised he races like that. Rude? Maybe. But if you watch Grands Prix it’s not uncommon to see drivers just going straight on in a corner and pushing people off the track. It’s a ruthless world at that level.

You really learn to appreciate Max’s driving when jimmy tries defending against him. His ability to execute when an opening is in the air is pure natural instinct. That’s what makes him so good. Not just his raw speed.

Jimmy is a guy who loves to drive, and he does that pretty well, he lives in a tiny bedroom in his mother's garden and he's still manages to be known by the sim and irl pilots, and that's beautiful. One of the best things videogames (and sims here) have brought to us, is the ability to meet and connect different people from different life situations around the world in one place, in one part of their life.

They are trying both the professionals but they are taking chances that would not happen in the real world. When driving a car you will have immediate effects from forces of the car that are being conveyed. Sims do allow people to keep their skills and reaction times in place.

This is insane. I mean, they could be doing anything in the world, but yet they're here playing with you. I love that they still really care & that they haven't become huge a-holes that don't answer DMs and stuff.
