The rattle with inverted king pin. I had the same on my Reynolds Indy's after smashing them with slappies. I did a fix which seems to work so message if your new bushing don't work. Love that wallride man!
Hope you’re just having fun with the titles but your definitely talented and are leaps and bounds ahead of me and keep it up 👍 love from Northern Indiana going on 36 and skating since I was 13.
That’s whatsup, man! Motivation is definitely something you gotta keep updating and sometimes just force yourself to go out, or take a break, all depends. Appreciate you watching and showing love, man. Really glad I’m able to help!
Someone told me I have to warm up one minute for every year I am old. Meaning I have to warm up 53 minutes before I can try anything. 😂😂😂 dude, that’s my whole session 😂😂
I always have to throw harder bushings in trucks whenever i get new ones. Being 200-210 lbs wheel bite is inevitable 😂 Loving the videos, i look forward to these every week!
@@SpectrumSkate sleep is super important as well, but let’s face it, most of it is genetic. Some people crap out in their 20’s and some people still got it in their 60’s.
@@dadboard Entirely agree with the sleep! Genetics have a role for sure too but I feel like those older than us still ripping drastically changed their lifestyle in order to do so vs it being based solely off genetic luck. Btw. Your progress has been great!
Maybe change from black to white and cotton isn’t the best. Use something like runners use with small holes in it. I don’t skate as much now, but dry quick t shirts are great in the heat. U should have a sponsor, love your honesty. Great content and almost Zen like approach to skateboarding.
I usually always wear white shirts in the summer to deflect some of the the heat but I thought I could get a pass since it wasn’t supposed to be that bad this early. Won’t be making that mistake again lol. Really appreciate the love, man. Thank you for watching!
It’s pretty fun but the location is kinda treacherous. Lots of cars go through there and workers open the doors directly behind the curbs sometimes and stuff. Can’t complain though it slides and grinds great even though they’ve repainted it a bunch of times
Took me like a year to finally get the hang of them but I still have so much to learn. Slappy crook is probably the easiest to learn. Checkout my dude @leonpaxton he has a couple really helpful slappy tutorials
What about putting the old thunder bushings in the inverted thunders along with the hollow hangar. Batabing bataboom broken in trucks 🤓 Just a thought for the truck talk
Dude I usually struggle with getting tired warning up…. lol I exploded my ankle a few years ago, and I blew apart a small bone in my foot as well as breaking my TiB and FiB, and dislocating my foot. Ever since I get about two hours max on my board before my foot starts letting me know I’m done. So usually I spend like ten minutes warming up, and than just go ham till my foot yells at me.
@@dadboard skating….. worst part was I wasn’t really doing anything. I was skating a mini ramp in a garage for my boys birthday. And I was going up the vert wall fakie trying to pump the transition for speed, and my back foot slipped off right when I went to pump, causing me to basically sit on my ankle backwards at the bottom of the transition. We all heard a load pop, and I knew right away it was broke. When I lifted my leg, my foot just dangled in the opposite direction. What sucks is it happened before my boy even showed up for his birthday. But I met a super cool skate homie that day that actually gave me a ride to the emergency room, and we’ve been good friends ever since….🤷🏼♂️
Dude, I totally got some of them trucks and cranked them down. Gonna loosen them up tomorrow. Thanks for the advice! Love them by the way. Might have to get some for my pool rig.
Lmk if they go back to normal or if you have the same issue as me. I’m really curious if anyone else will run into it since I’m seeing people saying the purple bushings are softer than normal. Wonder if the pivot cup bushings are too
Yeah them are some soft bushings! Guess they’re trying to appeal to the loose truck curb crowd and get back some of that biz them new companies have taken away.
Ok, I got on my board this morning and automatically the trucks were like insanely tight. I backed off on the kp like a full turn and a half. I think I could go another half looser. It doesn’t look like I messed anything up.
I got my inverted Thunders Sunday, I felt the bushings on them. I immediately swapped them with the Thunder bushings 100a rebuild kit and a hollow hanger. Now they’re lighter and the bushings feel more durable than the stock ones
Yeah dude that seems to be the consensus on these purple bushings. Apparently if you just ride them as they come they break in pretty quick but I’m pretty sure I blew out the pivot cup which is what caused the rattling.
Check your pivot nub itself for burrs, i had thunders that chewed up pivot cups, took me a after the replacement to understand what was happening. It's not a Thunder problem, just happens in the assembly, a tiny nick could make the truck feel weird after a few sessions well beyond just soft bushings
@@dadboard may not be your issue but could help someone else along the way. I just smoothed it out with super fine sand paper and deemed that set for a cruiser.
@@dadboard yeah man, I’m 210 6’3, so I ride pretty tight trucks. I hear what you mega during the warm months. Bushings get so soft. Lately I’ve been riding bone’s hardcores. The clicking get annoying, but it’s my only option to get them right where I don’t get so much wheel bite
Bro, drink water, and I cannot stress this enough, apply sunscreen then reapply if you are going to keep skating in the sun for hours at a time. You are always burnt to a crisp at the end of your videos. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk
I know it has nothing to do with this vid, but Julian Assange is a free man today!! That's cause for celebration in my book, even if he had to plea guilty to a bogus charge!! 👏🙏✌️
