When Hersh, an elderly Holocaust survivor in Rostov, Russia, invited me to stay at his home, I knew I couldn’t say no. Although spending the night in his apartment took me far out of my comfort zone, it also taught me one do the most important lessons I’ve ever learned. I hope this experience inspires you as much as it inspired me.
