First of all I want to give you my condolences and tell you I'm so sorry that you've had to go through this and that you lost your little baby girl. That's just something that I don't wish on my worst enemy. I'm so sorry. I hope that you have good family support and you found ways to cope with your loss. I can't even imagine how difficult it would be. I can definitely understand your desire to get pregnant again quickly. As far as guidelines as to when you should, if you had a C-section, and hopefully you didn't have to have a C-section, it's best to wait a year to allow your body to heal. If you didn't have a C-section and it was just a vaginal delivery then the only thing you really need to wait for is for yourself to be emotionally ready. There is a lot to consider when getting pregnant again especially just going through this. For a lot of people it makes them happier to think about being pregnant again and for some people it's harder. It just depends on you. I think it's a decision that only you and your companion can make. Involve the help of your doctor too if you have more specific questions about your situation. They can give you the best information as to how long you should wait based on their knowledge of your delivery. You had another question about fertility after having a baby and if you're more fertile after just giving birth. That's not necessarily true. In fact, it might take a couple of months for your body to get back to a normal cycle where you're having periods and ovulating again. It could take you a few months before your body is even ready to get pregnant again. As soon as you start noticing regular periods and you feel like you're ready it's totally fine to start trying. Again, based on the recommendations of your doctor if you don't feel like using contraception and you just want to see what happens, as long as your doctor feels like that is okay, that would be okay too.
