I had an early miscarriage/chemical pregnancy 

I just experienced a chemical pregnancy last evening, I totally understand your pain. I’ve decided going forward to not even take a pregnancy test until a full week after missing my period to hopefully prevent that heart ache again. ❤️

Girl our stories couldn’t be more similar. My story is l i t t e r a l l y the same. Hit 4-5 weeks and all of a sudden I was having a miscarriage. Tests were no longer positive and we were crushed to put it lightly. We only knew for 7 days before it happened. And for those precious 7 days I have never felt so alive, happy, content. The empty feeling you have afterwards no matter how small, never goes away. Your feelings, thoughts and emotions are valid. Never let anyone tell you other wise. At the end of the day, loss is loss. No matter how big the baby or how many weeks you were. You still lost something so precious and special, my heart goes to you 🤍

i had 2 chemical pregnancies last january 2020 and may 2021.. i lost both at 5 weeks.. its hard and painful when people tell you that "no you're not pregnant" and they will let you feel like you're not allowed to grieve and cry. :( I feel you.. we are not crazy.. we know in our hearts that we were indeed pregnant..

I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for being so open and sharing your story. Hearing your story was like deja vu for me because I had a similar experience. I tested the day before my period was due and got a faint line. I told my husband and we were so excited as it was to be our first baby. We even told our parents and they were so happy. I took so many tests and they all had the faintest line. I had some people tell me that maybe it was too early or that I wasn’t pregnant when the line wouldn’t get darker after 24 and 48 hours. I knew in my heart something was wrong. I had experienced early pregnancy symptoms so I knew I was pregnant, I could feel it. Three days later I started bleeding. I went to see a doctor and he told me we would get a blood test to see my HCG level but that the pregnancy test I took was negative at their office. When the blood test results came back I had barely any HCG and wouldn’t be able to sustain the pregnancy. I was heartbroken and went on to have the worst period I have ever experienced. Telling our immediate family this news was hard. I was so embarrassed to tell them I was no longer pregnant because I felt like my body had let me down. I felt ashamed and that it was somehow my fault. I know now it’s more common then we think and there’s nothing I could have done differently. It’s now been 6 months since we started trying again and we’re still waiting on our rainbow baby 💕

This is so helpful, because it just happened to me as well. My boyfriend and I have recently tried to conceive and last week I took 3 pregnancy tests 2 days apart. The first one had such a thin line that I wasn't sure, the second one was a bit darker and the third one was a digital that I took early in the morning and it stated pregnant. We were so excited and started telling our families. Then yesterday I started having brown spots that changed quickly in red, along with cramps - basically got my period - got so scared I left work to go to the ER and ask for a blood test. They didn't detect a pregnancy but I know there was, just like you said, you feel these things. I was heartbroken. Doctors tend to tell it's not really a "miscarriage", but it's still a loss you have to deal with. Thank you so much for this video.

Omg I’m so sorry you had to go through that. Makes me think if sometimes we just don’t test and we get our period without even knowing. But you did test positive and your baby will be acknowledged. Sorry again and thank you for sharing this with us.

I know this video was posted some time ago but I just experienced my loss last month. The hardest part is wondering if you’re going crazy. This video has helped know that I was pregnant and wasn’t crazy. I find comfort that it was a baby... it’s closure. I needed that. So sorry for your loss. Please know you’re not alone. I had my positive on my birthday a month ago. 3 days later I miscarried.

I am day 3 of bleeding and cramping from my chemical pregnancy. For the 4 days of being positive, we were so happy and full of life. Never felt so happy like that before until I tested 3 times in a row and it faded until it was gone. My husband and I were completely heartbroken… Hopefully my next cycle will be filled with health, happiness, and a positive line.

I had my missed miscarriage 2 weeks ago I know exactly how it feels like... It's only 8weeks, but for me it still my baby even my doctor said it's just only a blood😞😔 it really hurts because I saw already the heartbeat... And now my little angel is in heaven... I’m so sorry for your loss :/ I went through this in November and we have been trying since April 2020 but the tests got fainter and fainter until completely disappearing. When the doctors finally got me in for a blood test, it showed nothing and I was heartbroken:(

Thank you for sharing your story. I tested positive today and starting spotting this evening. I am certain I am having a chemical pregnancy. My friend keeps telling me that it was a “false positive” as well. I don’t think she understands how much that hurts. Now I am preparing for my period and it really sucks.

I really appreciate your video. I've had two miscarriages and today I found out I had a chemical pregnancy. I was a day late and super excited so I took a test and it was positive. Hours later I started my period. It broke my heart just as bad as the two did before that. I feel like a little piece of me dies each time. I’ve had 4 so yes it’s very common but the pain you experience is still real. Never think you’re being dramatic. I pray God bless your womb again!

Hi Victoria, I’m so sorry to hear this. I had a miscarriage in October of 2020. I was about 7 weeks, I went to the ER and I remember the ultrasound tech looking around forever, before asking me “so who told you that you were pregnant?”. It broke my heart. I had taken sooooo many pregnancy tests because I couldn’t believe it. (It wasn’t planned, but welcomed), and I didn’t get my period before that. So I felt like she was calling me crazy or something. They did take blood and the doctor told me my HCG was equivalent to being about 1 day past implantation. So I had confirmation that I had been pregnant, but it still felt horrible for the way the ultrasound tech said it.

I just want to say thank you so much for this video. I cant explain how similar our stories are. I am currently awaiting my results in the er but just bleeding as I sit here just wondering. Thank you again for making women like you and I feel like we are not alone in this. 😭😭😭😭

I know this is very late, but I believe this is worth knowing for you and your followers. I have had my series of Chemical Pregnancies, but, the body knows when a baby will be formed and when something is not quite there. The body pushes for the period to happen when the cells are not strong enough, when there might be a problem with the baby. It is normal for the body to reject weak cells, very painful when you are sure and is not happening, specially for women like me that are trying really hard. Thank you for your video, I found it very important.

The same to me. It is full of pain to hear the word "you are not pregnant" it's my first pregnant me and my husband was full of happiness and it was very hard to tell him even very very hard to me in order to understand what happened. The baby is my baby even if it 4 or 5 weeks.

I just went through a miscarriage , i went to the emergency room alone one night in severe pain , bleeding , going from being very cold to sweating badly and was throwing up non stop. I went there in fear of the baby i tried so hard to stop throwing up because i thought at least keep what i ate down for the baby but it wasnt working out for me. I took a shower before i left an passed out in the bathtub an had a huge bruise on my knee from falling. I went to the hospital in complete fear this was my first baby an i am only 22 but i was so ready!! When i first went i was told i had a cyst an was put on antibiotics but everyone but the dr. told me do not take those turned out we had a chemical pregnancy ... I was born one pound an i developed crohns disease which was very active an i had a bad episode due to the pregnancy but i couldnt get it to stop i tried. Its a battle within myself an its extremely frustrating. Went days not eating sometimes because i didnt want to wake up sick in the morning due to my sickness nothing worked an killed me even more knowing this was part of the reason i lost my little one. It hurt having to tell my love ones im no longer pregnant meanwhile my brothers all have had kids first try. At first i felt so defeated as well It hurts but i will never give up. I will forever cherish the little changes i had an the happiness the pregnancy gave me. My hcg levels were dropping an that's when in my heart i kinda knew but didnt want to believe it. God is good and i will get my little one when my time is right i truly hope. I thought it was my fault because my boyfriend has a daughter already so i felt less of a women in a way but someone close to me talk to me an this is common an its not my fault. I will try again once i get the okay from my dr. Fingers crossed🤞☺ 🌈

I had a beautiful line on first response then a pregnant on the clear blue which was the icing on the cake! Had my hcg bloods done on day 12 and it came back at 34 which I wasn't overly impressed. I booked one 2 days later because (you just know something is up)...and it dropped to 11.2! I was heart broken! I didn't got for a 3rd beta because in the UK they are ridiculously expensive. I tested 2 days later and there was no line present. It's like you're given a gift all wrapped up with a ribbon and then someone takes it away from you

Writing as I bleed right now and finding so much comfort in this video! We just started trying two months ago. Last month I believe I had an eggless period because I never got a positive ovulation strip. So we tried again this month, I had sore gums for a week. A clogged ear, eye and muscle twitches, I couldn’t even touch my breasts… I had three days of spotting (which I have never had before) and it was brown/dark orange so I assumed it was implantation bleeding so I got super excited!! The spotting was 10DPO, 11DPO & 12DPO. I was still testing negative but I thought maybe it takes a couple of days for there to be enough hormone after implantation. 13DPO night (last night) I start bleeding bright dark red blood and having intense period cramps. I tested this morning (even with blood in my urine) and got a faint line 😭 I know it seems dumb but I am so sad! And I am trying really hard not to let bad thoughts like: what if you are not able to get pregnant ever? Cross my mind because I don’t want to let one common thing crush me but man…. It’s so hard!!!

3rd week I started feeling something, I am feeling a lot of different PMS signs but it was way too early, it was the first time I experienced something like that - so I believed I was pregnant, but unfortunately I didn't test it out right away and waited up to 4th week. I prayed hard for it to continue, for it to attached to the uterine wall, but last night, the feeling was weird and tested negative this morning. It was devastating, it was week of fatigue, sometimes with breast pain, cramping, lightheadedness that I've never experienced so early before. still had no menstruation but I am actually expecting the worst. But I'm trying to be okay, God is with me. God bless everyone.

Wow I just want to say that I really appreciate you sharing this story and this video I am currently experiencing this and I had no idea what was going on I am just now learning what a chemical pregnancy even is well I have been having this "vvvvvvvvfl" since June 5th and I figured okay within 48 to 72 hours I will see the line start to darken, it didn't. So I tell myself okay maybe another 72 hours I check again after that it's still the same super faint. I was using the cheap Amazon test so I figured okay maybe there is some sort of a defect with these so I tried a first response and they also came up with a super faint line but also never increased as the days progressed. After watching your video I feel like I have a much better understanding of what chemical pregnancies are.

I was just past 4 weeks today, I was supposed to get my period 4 days ago and I was excited when it was late because to me that meant my pregnancy tests were right. But nope, today I started bleeding and cramping bad and when I called my doctor she told me right away that it sounded like a chemical pregnancy. I was totally crushed, crying in the bathroom at work 🤦🏻‍♀️ they did have my come in for a blood test though. My first pregnancy ever.

I loss my baby two days ago when I went to A&E the doctor didn’t even take me to a room she told me in the waiting room that the bloods were negative and that it might be an early miscarriage or false positive. I was disgusted like who wants to sit in A&E for five hours for a false positive. I like you practice family planning so everything from the conception to the time I tested was down to the T.

Thank you for this video..this is happening to me today. I went to er bc I had history of ectopic pregnancy and I needed to make sure. Just like you I tested 2x day had faint lines and got fainter as the day went buy but in day 15 today it looked little darker so I had hope and 20 min later I went to the bathroom and I was cramping I just knew..I had clots as well that was my clue for sure..I had blood work done and it was confirmed. This helps me so much today. Just knowing I am not alone means so much ♥️

The exact same thing happened to me. I found out I was expecting on the 5th Dec. Test lines were so strong. I started to bleed on the 17th. Had an internal scan on the 18th and sac was visible with fetal pole. I should have been 7 weeks but it measured at 5 weeks. I came home and continued to do tests. All positive. I stopped bleeding on Christmas day. Had another scan on 28th and there was nothing there. It was devastating. Like you I wonder how many times has this happened to me before?! I totally sympathise with you and agree that it was a little life. Big hugs xx

I’m almost certain sure I just went through this 💔 My period was late, I had symptoms. Took a test it was very faint. But I only took one kind of test. I was so excited, even told my partner we may be pregnant. And ofcourse the following day my period came in full force, it was so painful. I’m so tired of getting my period. We are entering cycle #4 of TTC. And I can’t handle another disappointing month. 🥺🥺🥺

It just happened to me I was 2 days late my test were darker then the last few days but I started bleeding & ive had horrible cramps & bleeding I'm so heartbroken all I wanted was this baby but there was other plans all I can hope is that I can have a healthy pregnancy next time

I am positive that something like this happened to me last week I was so ill with most of the pregnancy symptoms but a negative test 4 days later I had a blood clot come out that looked so much like my miscarriage I had before and after that came out my symptoms when a day later but to scared to tell anyone because I don’t think they would believe me 😢

I would've been 5 weeks for my very first pregnancy this Tuesday..I've never felt so numb and sad before in my life..

Im going through this now. Took 4 tests yesterday all positive. Took 3 tests today, two had lighter lines and one was negative. I'm heartbroken. I have an almost 4 year old so I know I can have a successful pregnancy but this is all so heart breaking

My own physician wanted me to feel crazy too with the same comments you got like ‘pregnancy tests can give you a false positive’

it's said that most sexually active women that don't use any form of contraception get pregnant and miscarry without even getting to know they were pregnant in the first place at least once in their life, i found that really interesting, sorry for your loss tho!

This happened to me 2 cycles ago. My period was over a week late and I was having so many symptoms. Then my period came (it was a MUCH stronger period than usual, very painful) and I knew I was losing it. I was very heartbroken but now I'm taking my temperature and doing ovulation and pregnancy tests to know for sure.

Victoria, I'm pretty sure I'm going through a chemical pregnancy right now. My HCG levels are much too low. This was supposed to be our rainbow baby after my miscarriage last year. This was after my first IUI. I honestly wish I had never seen the (very faint) line. My heart wouldn't be crushed all over again like it is now.

I just woke up this morning and experienced a gush of light pink fluid going down my legs and went to the bathroom and had large clots of blood and cramping. I broke out in tears. I never experienced one before. I am 29 years old and ive been trying for a baby for almost 4 years. I am so hurt and im not ready to tell my husband when he gets home from night shift..

So sorry to hear this I'm not sure if I'm going through the same thing I got my positive at 14 dpo and on 15 dpo I started cramping with brown/pink discharge still testing positive but no intense in color. I only had smears of the discharge on tp so still hopeful and it has stopped 24 hours later. Hopefully this was "implantation bleeding" I see my OB tomorrow hopefully I will get good news but very scared at the same time.

I had 2-3 of these before my son (he’s now 2.5 years old) and it was devastating. I remember when I got the positive with my son, I went to a pregnancy help center to get an official “positive” so I could get insurance, the woman asked me if I had ever had a miscarriage etc. and I told her I had had 2-3 chemical pregnancies and she said that isn’t a real thing. So rude and heartbreaking to hear. I just thought I was wrong and maybe had a late period and not a chemical pregnancy or miscarriage

I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. I can understand how you feel. I actually had a very strong line when I took my test. Which was unusual for me. But then I was very excited that I fall a pregnant, as I was trying to convince from three years. I start having a aches and pain on my right side at week 4, and ended up to hospital they took blood test to check if my HCG level going up they way it should. The process took two weeks. But unfortunately the level wasn’t increasing, the doctor doesn’t know what was happening either I have ectopic pregnancy or I am having early miscarriage both was look like to me the end of pregnancy, which I was waiting from since three years. and Finally at week 6 I had a miscarriage. Which I knew will gonna happen. It was heart broken. I was unwell since having panic attacks, have anxiety.

Going through this right now:/ I got pregnant pretty quickly after my last ovulation. I only had faint lines too. The lines started fading more each time I tested. Fast forward a few more weeks...I had pink spotting yesterday and started a horribly heavy period today. Terrible cramping, tons of clots and very heavy bleeding. I'm so dizzy and nauseated. I tested last night and it was completely negative.

The number one thing I related to above all else here was how many times people kept telling me I was somehow wrong or mistaken that I had been pregnant. "Oh honey, it's a false positive, you were never really pregnant" or the good ol "well I mean, did the doctor prove it? No? Must not have been real then"

I am going through this right now 😪 I am 3 months postpartum with baby #3 and then started getting positive tests and it was the same as you. I was upset at first, because hello 3 months postpartum 😳 but now I feel so incredibly guilty for being upset..

i feel like i have to comment because somehow i stumbled upon this video and there are so many similarities. Our first borns are named Ava, i have the same mandala tattoo on my inner left bicep and i got my first positive test 2 days ago at 12 dpo. I’m supposed to get my period tomorrow and because i’ve had a chemical pregnancy in the past after having a full blown miscarriage, i almost expect it to get my period. Similarly to you, i wanted to know if i was having a chemical pregnancy because if i am that’s valuable data to share with my doctor.
