Prevention of Chemical Pregnancy Based on Cause 

I’m 37 and currently going through my 1st miscarriage as we speak. My 52 year old husband and I got pregnant on our 1st try. I’m hopeful that it is what you said and it’s the abnormalities because of my age. It’s very real and a very painful experience. Thank you for not ignoring our losses.💞✨

I'm currently on my 10th cycle of ttc and have had 4 chemical pregnancies so far.. I'm 3 days from when my period is supposed to start and have tested very faintly positive again... I'm 37 and my partner is 48 - so I'm not expecting us to have the easiest time getting pregnant.. Thank you for not ignoring chemical pregnancies. I lost my baby at 6 weeks and it was difficult to just view it as something that happens. My Dr advised me to go through a few things just to make sure that nothing else is going on beside the said common chemical pregnancy. Would it be fair to say that if someone experiences a chemical pregnancy a few cycles after an 8 week miscarriage, is this a sign that her body was just not quite ready for a new pregnancy ? Or should it be treated as 2 losses in a row? And I'm referring to a chemical loss that occurs within just a couple days of implantation, about 10 or 11 days past ovulation.

I’m 33 years old and have been TTC for 4.5 years. I’ve had 4 chemical pregnancies (both IVF & natural) in 10 months on immune suppressants. I’m so glad this clinic recognises that the mothers immune as a likely problem in recurrent chemicals.

I would really like to know if bloodgroup incompatibility would also count that early? I am 0- and my partner is 0+. I didn't have health insurance at the time and I'm just now signing up for it, times are just really rough and I'm kinda sad I didn't have a baby but really would like to just educate myself more. As soon as I have my insurance I will have myself checked out. Maybe I'd try again but if I have developed + antibodies from previous possible pregnancies...would I need a rogam shot prior to conception attempts?

I was diagnosed with Graves Disease causing hyperthyroidism and I just had a chemical pregnancy this week. It wasn’t planned but I was started to feel happy and excited to be pregnant and a week later after getting a positive home test, blood work confirmed that my hcg levels dropped totally low 😢 Will I have issues trying to conceive later on even after my hormone levels are normalized?

I'm an OB nurse, and drs always told me a chemical pregnancy usually means something was wrong with the embryo, at least in natural pregnancies. Many women have unknowingly had one or more of these, and never realized it. It would just present as a late period, perhaps slightly heavier than usual.

Might i remind people that even in chemical pregnancies (most) conception has taken place & body has attempted to implant. Please get your specialists to check for severe hormone imbalance, nutrient deficiencies and blood clotting disorders. I have recurring chemical pregnancies around 5 to 8weeks due to a rare clotting disorder as a result of low vitamin k. Low protein s and c is commonly found in those with lupus and sjrogens, however I've not had those markers only indication is prolonged vitamin k deficiency. Unfortunately, i felt that my treating dr wasn't treating at root cause and just after money. No amount of monitoring was going to "catch" a baby in time for blood thinners if my whole issue is implantation/carrying not necessarily conception. At 36, took a years break & not sure if will keep trying. My bodies been through enough over the years without trying to nourish a child.

I am 30 and I just had my second chemical pregnancy in a row. My husband is 25, we are a young couple. My doctor insist in to do genetic testing, but I think the problem could be something with me and not the embryo.

My kinesiologist said that my reproductive organs were at a 9 and a 10 which is really great for my age. I'm 43 and just experienced my 2nd chemical pregnancy in the last 4 months. 6 months ago I also had a miscarriage at 11 weeks pregnant. My kinesiologist said that the problem was with my liver and thyroid. I don't doubt that my thyroid has had a part to play in my pregnancy losses but based on this information I think I need a second opinion about my reproductive organs.
