This is how every "pro" player is playing atm, even at their event, this is what they show so ofc the rest of the players will adapt at this playstyle. They just copy paste everything, please what tactics, please instructions, is this good? i packed this guy is he good? how about you try it for yourself and see, but nope. The community is getting as bad as the game with each year
everyone wants to win. this game has become this. every game must be a win. the pressure of winning has become more and more heavy that the fun just isnt there anymore. not only this but the toxicity has increased aswell. the amount of rage messages people send when they lose and the amount of rage messages they receive when they win

The worst is when they (I assume) think are this amazing players just because they are able to score this sweaty goal out of a rebound and spend all the possible time looking at the celebration, replay, then the player returning to his half... meanwhile we are dominating the entire match, we have the ball possession and the stupid missed opportunities and the 3 or 4 balls off the post. They are rewarded for being absolute crap and that's why I hate this game.
For real man, lost two games where the opponent scored with two shots on target while I'm hitting the post from the same position. Exact tactics that guy in the video was using too. What's the point in a football game where you don't need to play football to win?

I still have 8 matches on weekend league to go, but I think I'm seriously thinking to quit this game. The overload on ball side + team press + spamming counterattacks tactics is so powerful, it's taken my enjoyment of the game. There are opponents pressing literally from minute 1, screw stamina. How many games I had that I start winning for one or two goals, opponent flips the switch and I lose 4-2 with 4 straight counterattacks plus kickoffs.
I quitted wl an rivals sold my team played draft with icons that i will never be able to afford and got mbappe out of a pack with not even trying to win the draft
I feel like people should still be able to play drop back since it’s how teams like Atlético play in real life. But there should be better ways of countering them, long shots for one should be much better if you have the time to take a few touches and shoot, lobbed through balls into the box should also be more effective
If that's realistic then it should also be possible to play kick and rush and spam the ball in the opponents box if they play like that. Sadly, that is not possible.
All im going to sayis that ifyou guys want a realistic game then Scholes Nesta Rare gold Pique Chiellini Cavani and Kross should all be pure meta cards . Ofc im not mentioning all but those cards always get disruspected every fifa and the are player who are among the best in history

I usually watch kurt's stream to watch ea's events mainly because every single game is played like this every game ends 1-0 I watch kurt for the commentary but the game is absolutely at it's most boring stage

Rotravi 98 heading is useless. An open goal and no cb is pressing but still head over the goal. That is not real . Even real life football is easier to score a header .

This game has started driving me crazy the things im seeing bro i been playing fifa for years but this is crazy i honestly cannot remember my oppenants scoring good goals where they beat my defender its always a rebound from my tackle in the 90th min but i have to litreally break my hand to score a goal vs 2 banks off 4 there is no way to consitently finish the ball EA just decide i hit the post every single game without fail now. I just played a game against someone who had every player on his own half defending and used overload ball side. The worst thing is that he specifically paused the game to apply his new tactics and play this toxic style from minute 15 in game till the end. He had a godsquad. That’s the most embarrassing of it.
Even with a great connection this tactic is hard to get past in bad gameplay you have to be lucky to get through it especially as long shots do next to nothing now. Today was so frustrating I got to 17 wins and just turned it off no point playing any further because all you play against is 1 depth overload ball side
@@20FreeWill nothing to do with ranks mate, it's to do with connection if it's good park the bus is easy to break down but with bad it's almost impossible because the game won't recognise controller inputs like quick passes & left stick turns ,fake shots etc

The problem is that those players don't love football. You literally just can't play football since FIFA 18. FIFA 17 had some good offensive AI but after that they are just standing and staring at you. I love football but I absolutely hate every football simulator and whoever thinks that PES is better than FIFA or vice versa please just enjoy that scripting they have there in both games. Football games need another competitor which focuses on GAMEPLAY and not on packs, licenses, shitty events with new player cards, etc. If someone creates a good football SIMULATOR with great GAMEPLAY and decent servers nobody, who loves football, will give a single flying fuck about licenses and fancy card designs, we want REAL FOOTBALL GAME
Game is woeful and the community is toxic. I spotted a guy doing the Osihmen objective the other day. Walked my guys outa the way so he could score and he runs away shushing me. The amount of guys acting like bell ends is ridiculous. I've not really played in about a week. Also, when the oppo play drop back and OL ball side, does that affect my players. Feel like all the touches are heavy and passing goes to pot. I've got guys like FB Hazard misplacing simple 10 yard passing whenever I play against this tactic. Super slow movement and heavy touches. It's a really poor experience.
Can relate to this gameplay, it's boring and frustrating. Fifa should be about fun and balanced gameplay, where i can play both ultra attacking and defending and still have some enjoyment out of it rather then feel like i'm using obsolete tactic. We should be able to score headers, long shots (distance over 20 m) tap ins and some extraordinary goals, with the simpliest finishes being easiest to score, but all having place in the game. After few years with same engine it shouldn't be to hard to balance stuff that you have in your game to the point that every player can play they own way and still have a chance of winning.

Even pros like Tekkz and Dossary said it clearly. “No one is enjoying this game” “unrewarding game” “anyone can play and win this game by abusing the glitches”.... It is boring to play and even watch others play the game as well. I tried one time using a drop back with low depth and i hated it, i had to shift to balanced with higher depth and more attacking style. But then you het these type of players every time even at division 7

You can still have drop back and such in the game and the game could be balanced In real life teams that play low depth normally tire out and concede more goals towards the end of the game If the stamina using defensive tatics was drained out quickly like constant pressure(for me ir should be even more drained)drop back would be useless And it takes 5 min to make this change
But this game isnt a simulation.... so there is no reason to have these cheese tactics easily exploited to keep bad players in games. If this game was a simulation, you wouldn't have players dancing around like ballerinas doing 5 skill moves in the span of 3 seconds

This tactic became a problem when offensive speed got nerfed a bit last patch. Crossing across the field to switch the attack is 50/50 if you're not a pro...half the time it goes to a CM who is marked, and that's how the one goal is scored that wins the game. It's made the game so boring and tedious...and killed some great players like Yedder who can't find any open space.
This game is shit. I’ve recently moved from London to West Africa, and due to the smaller player base, the only players I encounter are super sweaty try hards with mega teams. From my 1st game in Weekend League to the very last, 95% of the people I play against are using 1 depth overload ball side tactics. I’m not exaggerating. That along with the consistent server delay make what should be a joy to play literally unbearable. It’s simply not fun. Nobody should be able to play a “game” like this. What people don’t realise is how different an experience it is for every single person playing, depending on where you are in the world. It’s not fair or balanced. I’ve played FIFA in 3 different continents and depending on your location, it’s a completely different experience. It should be the same for everybody but it’s not. Trying to break down those anti fifa tactics in delayed gameplay is nigh impossible. I’m considering never purchasing this game ever again and it’s the only video game I play.
I literally hate this game especially the weekend champions league I have a pretty decent pl team but i always get stuck against teams that are god squads. Everytime i join the tournament i inly get to the 3rd gold division and i cant get higher than that. Besides that what i find incredibly annoying is how many teams i face that have a squad full of legendaries, insane pace users, or sbcs. This game just gives me a frustrating time.

Has overload ballside always been the same? I'm pissed because I used it before it was cool/discovered in every game for the 1st few months then stop. I didn't think much of it but it was just something I'd do and now everyone is using it.

People are more than entitled to play as they wish. The issue lies with the disgusting shite gameplay. You can't play with any pace or fluency as the game just puts a stop to it. Want to to do 1st time passes, it takes a long touch 1st. Want to take a touch and shoot, it takes 2 touches then stands over the ball. Can list about 100 flaws with the game, not 1 single other game available I could say the same for. I like UT and building a team but the game is now at a stage where I I can't even last 1 half without switching it back off. That last patch literally brought back all the other issues that were there on release and had been changed, it's a shambles
That's the problem gameplay is shit and slow and this tactic does give advantage to this type of players you can attack whole game then the opponent will come somehow in front of your goal and score with his 1 chance
This is why I stopped playing FUT 20 at all, it is just annoying and is not fun. people drop back and defend with 7-8 players in their own penalty box, you work very hard to score 1-2 goals and all they do is wait for you to make one bad pass (and it will happen, not all of the players have 90+ passing and at some point you gotta start trying riskier passes to work out that defense) and run like crazy and hit you on the counter.

I just uninstalled fifa today, because of this shit 4 games in a row. I had 6 wins 0 loss start of WL. Then these guys comes up against me, losing 4 straight games with like 1-0 where both me and opponent have like 1-2 shots per game. Having 6 wins 4 loss after this, one loss because of me getting frustrated at the end. The thing was, the guys I won, they were so much better players than the ones I lost against. We had great games, fighting each others skills til the end. Games ending 3-2 4-3, 2-1 etc. It’s not fun playing anymore the game is shit. It’s all about AI defending this year as well. So tired of it, where is the FUN? Online should be about ME vs. YOU. I go play squad battles if I want to play ME vs AI.....

Most people are using the same players and the same tactics. I’ve said it before, I get it’s a video game. BUT...BUT at the same time, there were opportunities in that video where shots could’ve been taken instead of trying to play 3v7 in his 18yrd box. Maybe have a tactical adjustment where you can commit a few more bodies forward? You can’t expect people in an online environment to do anything apart from exploit the game. It’s been that way since the beginning of FIFA. Find a way to break them down.
Practically every pro is playing like this and its absolutely killing the game online. Its funny cos I play 3-5-2 with Fast Possession and I'm getting messaged about how I spam?!? I'm like "How the hell does someone spam defence on a 3-5-2?!"
How about your player passing the ball in 2 to 3 sec I was 15-0 in fut champs. Suddenly whole game changed. A normal gold team was much faster than mine and started to loose the matches whyyyy? Just not hit top 100 or elite 1. Every time i play this happens to me. I reach 15-0 or 15-1 and than whole game changes. Start to have button delay....ctr. This game dude is just a joke.
I quit playing this weekend because a guy played me like that all game he scored in the 5th minute and just drop back and pass back all game . Even tho I put pressure I couldn't get the ball because all his players drop back . And after the game he had the balls to msg me saying he dominated me lmao game sucks .
The major problem with this game is that it’s only made to suit a specific play style. Teams in real life have all sorts of ways to play. I want to play a high pressing game but I can’t I have to play low depth or I’m fucked.
This style of play was VERY notable especially with basic meta prem sides. Literally recorded 2/3 games where 10 players were almost in the opponents box. It was ridiculous and ruined it for me. I’ve had the game since release and only played 4 WLs in total. I’ll be surprised if I see double figures this year unless something drastically changes!!
Is it just me who finds constant pressure/team press more infuriating than drop back??? Flipping players just magnetising to the ball and the game feeling like soup???
This sort of tactic is used in reality, so why wouldn't it be included in the game? If someone chooses to sit back and play like that, then find out a way to counter it and stop whinging.
I play pvp arena in world of Warcraft as a healer and even when my gameplay is bad I always cap the week above 2.2k ratings, it's tough it requires a lot of concentration i would say the average player caps at 1.5k. it can be very stressful but not nearly as stressing as FIFA20, I never relax when I play FIFA
No disrespect Inception, but I wish I got matched vs players like the first several you played. Everybody I match has full chem on everyone and cheeses mechanics, on top of being competitive

@@Creative90467 that happens to me every week. I'll go 10-0 or 11-1 the first set, then the second set I'll go 5-2 or 6-1, and the third set I'll go 7-5 or 5-7 lol. I know they say the whole form thing dictates matchmaking but I think once you hit certain ranks you match differently. Now I just hit gold 1 or 2 and stop, and i usually have 5 or 6 games left

I use overload ball side to counter 4-1-2-1-2 narrow counter attackers, which works amazing. Yes I will use it late in a game when I’m winning. One thing I never use is 1 depth with or without this tactic.
The game itself is a waste of life. The gameplay is so bad at the moment... The diference in between playing friendly online games and fut champions... It's as if you're playing 2 different games. Why? EA scripting
I can't stand this either, I'm not as good, so I'll make a bad pass and then they will just use their speed and hit me on the break cause I brought so many guys fwd, DROP BACK shouldnt be allowed for sure and if people are going to play narrow crossing when wide open should be more effective so you can use a big striker. They have the NERF speed of attack and when in drop back, just like they did with over load ball side stamina should be reduced, but when people stamina is low I don't see a difference if the player has high aggression, that needs to be changed too. If the player has no stamina remaining you should be able to run past them with ease.
The problem is not the tactic. The problem is that with bad gameplay your players act like bronze and you cannot use your skill mooves effectively. Also passing is nerfed and you always need extra touches to pass the ball. Your first games were amazing. I have seen this speed of gameplay once or twice, even though i play my games late at night- early morning. If your gameplay was equivalent to the first matches, you would have easily opened his defense.

This game is dead I deleted that shitty game not buying next years game ither. Long shots arnt in the game, finesse isn’t an option. Regular shots feel like 50/50. On top of the most important part of the game not consistent(shooting). This game ain’t skill based period. Ea selling the company would be the best thing that can happen to FIFA games but it’s not gonna happen.

Oh My God ! I thought I dont have the skills to play this game sometimes, that is what fucking happens to me - My players stop responding, passes dont go through, opponent's players are on me in a flash and my players just wont fucking move - So this BS is the cause of it - I am at peace now
No way i thought that my players not intercepting balls close to them was only my problem.... I keep losing on counters, they feed on people like me who gets impatient, makes a wrong pass and counters. I can build up as much as i get but when its my 6 attacking players vs 11 in the back... Its annoying as hell

you are so right man, it's so annoying. Most of the people play pressure D and no stamina penalty. I purposely playing pass on defence to make their stamina deflate, but nothing, plus even when their stamina is low they are playing better some times then rested players, i mean WTF. Overload ball sides is on of the best realistic game tactics in my opinion LOl. I figured it out like a month ago and my defense improved. its normal to get annoyed at defensive players which i am. but in fifa to win, you have to play by your strengths. thats how i see it
They do not have to remove drop back but they need to make long shoot, header effect and stop auto defence and block for the player who use drop back, I did not use it but when someone use this tactic I noticed that his takle very easy my CDMs not help me to stop the counter attack even if they are the best CDMs my players become very stupid and I have to play manul all the game
i use it to compensate a lot of fails in the defense as the players cant be selected sometimes or do the weirdest stuff like not running while pressing the sprint button so hard that it almost breaks.. with overload on ballside i dont have much of theese slapstick situations where you be just like : WTF. and like you said if i dont use it i have a disadvantage 90% of my opponents use it specially when their name ends with esport
