ILLOGICAL GAMEPLAY RANT - FIFA 21 ULTIMATE TEAM 

100% agree bro. The FIFA is not like a football game anymore, passing, defending, attacking, almost everything expect the budget that EA pays millions of dollars. I tried to use silver players this morning, and they all play like three years old children. Cant dribble, can't take the shot, can't pass the ball. They are PRO PLAYER, EA should respect that. EA make billions of dollars through the ultimate team, but I don't see any of those cash being used to improve the gameplay

This game sometimes just wants you to lose. I was on a 26 game win streak, I get on today and lose 3 in a row with bad and delayed gameplay. Ridiculous!

When this summer roles around I want everyone to make a twitter and start aggressively questioning EA and support each other by retweeting and backing that person up when EA tries to throw a political answer don't take it. Respond intelligently and calmly. Start clipping crazy stuff that happens to you. Start asking them critical questions. They cannot silence is all. We all just have to be organized and on the same page!! This might mean going to other channels and repeating this idea. We just have to come together. Last weekend i didn't play fut champs and it was good not having to deal with the inconsistent gameplay, on top of that the community are the worst i've ever seen in my 20 or so years of gaming, bunch of rats who park the bus, pass round the back if winning, and they all have the meta players. Like you say it's like they have no soul. There's no fun or originality in the game anymore because the game doesn't allow it. Varane Mendy, Varane Mendy - repeat 100x. The auto blocks are one of the most ridiculous things ever too. People don't have to control their defence to stop goals.. everyone parks the bus because somehow doing that is more OP than controlling the ball and attacking, what is this nonsense?? People put themselves through so much stress with this game, i mean check out the amount of rage compilations on youtube. Because we all love football and FIFA is really the only game we've got. We all deserve better than this.

Your points are accurate! Years ago playing fifa with friends against other opponents online was so much fun and you noticed a skill gap in defending. I was so good at defending even against the toughest opponents where the score would be 1-0 or a close game 2-1. Now with these added mechanics it really destroys the fun and gameplay experience.

I remember back in the day I was a D1 player and didn’t know how to do a single skill move, cause I used to rely on my passing awareness and left stick dribbling , now you’ll get out scored every single game trying to play like that

It means alot to see you call the BS out! Your honest, passionate and the content is always top quality! When it comes to pace vs sentimentality the latter should win but not with the current mechanics! Even though it's not the meta and I get punished for it I manually defend, I loved defenders in years gone by like Terry and Mertesaker, they were slow af but my mentality was if they have good defending they will know where to be. Well, it's because you said everything that every normal player who played and/or watched football (soccer) thinks about mechanics of this game and overall gameplay. I was thinking I was crazy but when you mentioned that thing about same game in offline mode I was like HELL YES FINALLY some proof that I am not the only one crazy in this community. I wish you are not busy as you are and that we can actually play some non park the bus games where we can enjoy some attacking non-rat football (soccer). I got a FUT Founder account, been playing this game since 09 consistently.. and I can definitely say that the best times I’ve had playing this game was back in 12 and 13. Using formations like 42121,4222. Formations you barely see nowadays. My favourite part about this game is building squads and as you mentioned, that’s not there anymore. I would love to show you the squads I’ve been running all of fifa. I was playing fifa 12 with a full silver team and I was enjoying it and I’m surprised that they kinda brought back silver players this year with silver stars. The only thing this company looks for is the amount of money they are able to bring in and don’t care about the community. I love soccer and been playing and watching it all my life, and that’s why I’ll never stop playing fifa but I would honestly rather play pro clubs with the boys and even that hasn’t had a decent update in like 10 years, but it’s funny because even pro clubs is filled with meta playing losers with 5’6 height and 90lbs. I respect your grind and content you provide for us but fifa is literally raising my blood pressure the more I play it.

totally agree, I recently come back to playing Fifa , 10 years of not playing , I am completely shocked at fifa ripping me off , I have spent a huge amount on the game this year and packed next to nothing, the longer I am getting into the game the more pissed I am getting with fifa , the game play is shocking and buying packs is nothing short of fraud, I am 5 months into playing fifa and already thinking of stopping.

You voiced everything I feel about this game perfectly, haven’t played in months. The stupid skills needed to win, the drop back, the lack of being able to put a great passing move together. We’re never getting our game back.

You literally tackled my everyday thoughts especially on the defending part, in this game you get punished because you are a very good defender and rewarded because you do not know how to defend...You have said it before in your previous Rant video, they are lucky that its a football game and we love football so we don't have a way out. And TBF the concept of ultimate team is amazing, it is just that the gameplay mechanics, scripting and "pay to win" are ruining the game.

I will tell you this who ever reads this comment. What makes real football good is the uniqueness of the game. The different tactics and style of attacking that varies. Yes there are millions of fifa players and they all can't have their own unique game. Lots of players are gonna play similar and that's fine. But with fifa 21 fken EVERYONE PLAYS THE SAME STUBORN WAY. I'm glad he mentioned at the end that he feels like he's playing the same player over and over again. Idk how everyone else's gameplay is but when I what to even make a simple skill move (I don't skill alot and I'm div 4) a drag back. The game doesn't even react sometimes to me wanting to do it. I know it might be something else that's the issue but. It's stuff like that that just make you ask yourself why do I play this game if when I want to make ONE simple play and it doesn't work? And as I'm getting older it's just a motative to move on with life and get into the real world. Buying fifa 22 for me will NOT be happening due to this. today i went on one of my biggest losing streaks ever because i had a fun team. i started the game in january and this is my first fifa and i went from 1000 to 760 skill rating in a day. to u sweats that have played the same game for years div 5 and 6 maybe shit but for 2 months experience beating people that have started thier club one or two years ago i felt proud of myself. sorry im getting off track,none of my players were performing they all felt bad, and messi got consistently subbed of,i d rather use van bergen, the 90 stats feel like as if im playing a bronze card. i sold the team, i sold my squad and went full meta. im considering sell again since this is just not fun, im winning mkre consistently then ever but its just not fun

love these sorts of videos, so reassuring to know its not me, the defending bit hit home for me because i also always prided myself on good defending that i was actively doing rather than people abusing players like varane that literally do the job for you whilst my defenders make good tackles to instantly be dispossessed by the striker again. My gameplay is so poor that even mbappe plays like a fucking idiot, doesnt seem to have the clever attacking A.I that everyone talks about, maybe I got a duff model haha

I think that’s what i loved about Kurt so much you saw how he played in fifa 19 and fifa 20 and you see him playing differently to the way everyone else was playing the constant meta skill moves and backwards passing. He built his play off of quick passes and it worked

gameplay has been inconsistent since 2008 or something like that. I've always played with 90+ pacey wingers and I used to complain about how my 90+ pace wingers some games where slow as hell and couldn't outpace a snail. Yet in most other games they'd run circles around the defenders. So sad that they can't fix it. My guess it's probably some old legacy code that's the problem since it has continued through different engines and platforms.

Play the game less and less. Haven't played weekend league since the week before TOTY. Did Flashback El Shaa and went into a game. Person was playing drop back with a back 5. Played maybe 20 minutes of the game and quit and haven't played since. Game just isn't fun anymore. I'd much rather spend my time doing something fun.

RU-vid recommended me this video the exact same day I decided to quit ultimate team lol I'm just tired of playing the exact same formation every weekend with the exact same 11 players 'cause I never spent a single cent and I'm an unlucky bastard with pack opening. I played meta formations and also fun formations but the game just kept throwing shit at me when playing. I'm done, I want to keep my mental health lol

Anyone else been experiencing insane scripting ? The past few days my game play has been so inconsistent and the scripting had been so bad it’s been so obvious

Honestly I want to leave the game so bad like its so bad. I played my friend who gave me a good game and hes a gold 2 player and im elite 2, but the gameplay was so bad that I couldnt do anything. I couldnt even fake shot stop because my player kept running of the pitch before it registered. I couldnt use the stupid meta skill moves that that only 1% of players in FUT can perform properly. I miss the old days with Ibarbo and Muriel upfront.

Dribbling at the start of the game was amazing even big body type players like Rb inaki felt good on the ball.

Man you are perfectly right man I finish usually the first half with 3 or 4 goals the the pressure tactics starts and guess I loose, or u attack with 10 or 20 shots with the amaizing goal keeper movers, then one counter and thats done I lost its getting frustrating ea thinks we are there employees not there customers they control everything, then the wonder if there will b any harm for youngsters mental health especially when they work hard and they just loose ridiculously. It's why I prefer to play squad battles. I only play rivals and WL for a few extra rewards. I don't love squad battles either, but at least I can play how I want

In fifa 12 until fifa 16 I would play central football and outclassed the defenders through skill moves to make my way into the box . But in fifa 21 as soon as u reach the box every midfielder from the opponents cam to the centre backs are sitting on ur players. And the defensive AI blocks any lanes to score until u get tackled . And boom through ball to the striker and done goal .

I say after fifa 18 gameplay has been awful every game has there flaws. But fifa 19,20, and 21 are absolute trash man the gameplay is trash even on next gen

Totally agree with you about passes automatically avoiding defenders. It's a joke how often someone with 70 passing can thread a ball through a 10 inch gap from 30 yards away.

I am done with fut champs, as you say, each game is the same - the same tactics, the same squads, the same awful heavy gameplay, the same awful red picks (got 81 and 82 this week). The Y/Triangle button is now pointless, remove it from your controller. The through ball that you time and spot the run is 80% of the time overhit. The through ball to a marked striker running in behind either comes off first time or the striker wins the 2nd ball. It honestly the opposite of football, shame to say really but that's how it is.

100% agree with him! I wish there was more variety in the players we could use! Make the fun teams and not have to base squads around the meta and also not having the game defend for you. I love to manually defend but I get so frustrated when I do everything right and he gets a goal because of a bounce. What inception said about the regular X pass being through balls is soooo noticable particularly in the final third area if ur doing 1 2s, instead of doing the through ball (which u shud do technically), it doesnt work, The GK catches it, if u do X pass it works like bro LOLL
