I gave up saying anything years ago. Here to see the state of the game from someone who has been keeping up. Not surprised that EA are still doing EA things. My friends and I just enjoy laughing at the game and their "revolutionary" new mechanics.
I legit have to mentally prepare myself for cup matches and WL. I’m excited to play football and do creative things. Then I log in and remember, oh we are playing like Bambi on ice today
That guy overcommitting 4 defenders then getting bailed by AI is so egregious. In no other video game do you get rewarded so heavily for making such poor decisions.

The Agg catch Meta this year with guys like Parham and Carmichael rewarding people for throwing into coverage when in previous years they just got picked off like they deserved. (They even released more tall out of position cards to ENCOURAGE that nonsense) EA sports just love rewarding incompetence I guess
The gameplay has gotten has gotten more and more defensive since fifa 18. I feel like that was the last playable fifa in my opinion. Each year it's more and more ai defending drop back counter. No type of attacking fluidity since the ai marks every player or one bad touch from a tackle from behind by the AI. This fifa feels the most glitched to me as well. The amount of bicycle kicks and rainbow flicks to overhead kicks from outside the box going in is disgraceful 😂
I didnt play fifa 18 but I remember fifa 17 and there wasn't really a meta at all you just played how you wanted there was actual skill in the game. I came back to fifa 19 and had to play against varane at rb and el tornado crosses to tots Havertz and toty Ronaldo. There's always been a meta to abuse since that fifa that just ruins any game cuz no matter how good you are if someone can perfectly time first time over the top through balls to mbappe your losing 95 percent of the time.
I played so well yesterday I moved the ball around, created chances and I still lost to 2-0 from counter attacks goal. If I don’t play football I don’t find joy in the game too often I come across corner kick bicycle kick goals and rainbow flick merchants and it’s irritating cuz im just trying to play fluid passing football.
Ngl I follow you 99% because of your rants. Negativity isn’t great and all but this game annoys me to different lengths, and these rants just validate me and resonate with me. I honestly invest much more in these videos and find watching them a cathartic experience lol
Yeah it’s so annoying when you manually defend the ball phases through you but when it’s ai he does a weird stretch animation and one gets rewarded for not playing the game
I think that the gambling aspect of this game is what has made everyone so ratty. People are obsessed with winning for rewards rather than playing their ideal style of football regardless of results. That’s why you’ll see mechanic abuse.
The way bateson, manny and over content creators spend money on fifa points is so bad for us regular people, fifa points are a issue big time in this game
There are weeks that I win every single match and my players feel absolutely juiced and then the next week they all play like dogshit and can’t even complete a short pass to save their life. I’m starting to question if I’m ass at the game or if the game is ass 😂
Haha. You honestly can't tell if people are good or bad anymore that's how terrible gameplay is. No skillgap at all. Just heavily manipulated animations depending on your inputs.
Played weekend league this week and was genuinely stunned at the NOTICEABLY bad reaction time, strange running, bad passing etc. from the first whistle. This is super telling because the last time I played was last week and it felt like a totally different game. Muscle memory doesn't lie.
Swear bro…. A lot of times I give the game benefit of the doubt and blame me being “Rusty”… but I play consistently so it doesn’t make sense that the game feels so different one day to the next.

Thanks for the rant, I was so done with this bullshit game man. I played WL first time after Ultimate Tots, was 11-1 and I thought maybe a cheeky 16-4 is in the cards. NO, EA said 3 games in a row all the fckin bounces going to my opponent, Tapsoba making 10 saves in a half, meanwhile my Dudek cannot save a red timed finesse from 25 yards.
Haha animations and gameplay definitely seem manipulated it's like the better you are at fifa the less logical animations you get. The worse you are the better the animations you get that are unlogical this type of gameplay is to consistent for it not to be designed purposely like this.

Bro you just touched the essencial point, unconsistent gameplay! Theres no one that can LEARN this game because of this, therefore theres almost no skill gap. This is most due to everything that is dynamic in this game you can never expedt anything from any player, attacking or defending because they will always react in so many ways possible. Impossible to have fun competing on this game. Watch the pros playing, most boring gameplay ever. TOO SLOW, TOO UNCONSISTENT, TOO SCRIPTED!!! Everyone who recorda their own gameplay knows that this game almost everytime either makes it more easy or more difficult for you to play!! Players trying to run, and they just cant, player switching to a furthest player, green times going to the post or not even on target even with perfect execution. Miss the times where FIFA was skill based, where you would win or lose a match based on your performance! Theres not a single mechanic well made and consistent trough 90 mins of the game

Cannot disagree with u in anything related with the state of the game, i fully agree, BUT, i am going to comment on the squad battles. Yes, i am one of those weirdos that play squad battles regularly because i am nearing 40s, like playing fifa every now and then, and i cannot cope with the stuff u mention on this video nor the actual messages, celebrations, idiotic behaviour on games and so on that u find when playing online this game. Also, regarding the inconsistent gameplay i will also say they replicate the pressure tactics and slow gameplay on legendary and ultimate modes, i suggest you try out those ones at least a couple of times, it might serve as proof that inconsistent gameplay is actually embedded in the game logic. I am happy that you spoke out like this about the game anyway, keep it up!
The problem is FIFA isn't a football game, it's a gambling game. Which is why you have so many less players playing Pro-clubs/seasons. We have been addicted over our teenage years to opening packs. If they gave everyone free Mbappe they'd still submit him into SBC to get +1 version of him which is slightly better. EA have destroyed a generation into problem gambling.

I started playing FIFA last year, but I have over 1000 hours in both 22 and 23, and I already want to end myself every time I play fut champs. If you have been doing this for over 10 years, that can't be good for your mental health. However, I have huge respect for you because you are still making great content.
As someone who has been playing the game since FIFA 98 I can 100% understand and agree with your opinion. I wish that this video reaches some dev of EA and they listen to the criticism and draw their conclusions from it. It can't be that year after year the game is getting worse and worse. The beginning of FIFA 23 was better than the years before. And what has become of it? An absolute crappy game. Thank you for saying what many of us think. You are a true legend!
i bought the game at black friday with 35% discount. Just enough to let them know i'm fed up with this and just fast enough in the game to get by with all the early acces players that i was in other fifa's too. Didnt bought points this fifa. That's the only way EA is going to do something about it. they are in for the money. So don't pay them.
I have to agree 100% with this. Playing Fifa for more than 10 years and every year I am more and more disappointed and this year, I am not joking, I had to delete the game for 6 months since I started taking tranquilizers after a few games. It is insulting my intelligence. THE QUESTION IS WHAT WILL THE COMMUNITY DO ABOUT THIS??? Not about my tranquilizers, but the gameplay 😂
I stopped playing since most of the player base started using 541 drop back and my mental health has improved massively. Drop back makes the game frustrating and causes so much rage
I learned another pretty bad mechanic playing pro clubs and with a lengthy physical striker you can just rainbow flick and it will eventually go over. King Lamar 27 you are a bum at the game and will never actually be good

THE most annoying shit ever is when pass the ball to your striker, and u see the gk is rushing, im pressing shoot right before the gk is coming, my strikers takes 2-3 touches and looses the ball.
How do you guys do cancels and timed shots with these gameplays man? I don't get it. 95% of the time the game doesn't even register normal ball rolls for me.
since i stepped back from fifa to find a rewarding challenge and joy and fun in games again and turned to the soulslike and roguelike genre my overall gaming experience is so much better. but had to leave a comment because from time to time i like to see what´s going on. appreciate your passion even more if it´s all just "work" and you wouldn´t play it in your free time. still helping out others and testing and reviewing. hats off to you sir. hope you´re fine and thanks for all the help back in the days.

Completely agree with the PC frame rate thing, especially if you can get to 100+ fps, fifa becomes an entirely different game, so much smoother and enjoyable. Also still can’t understand why EA gave 120fps to Xbox version and only 60fps for PlayStation, seems extremely unfair given how much it influences how we play the game
Im at the point where i dont get mad at fifa anymore. I just play my games and if something stupid happens i just accept it. I hope they improve on most of their poor mechanics though
I watched this video over three days and this guy has the most passion of any RU-vidr ever, it’s amazing how Inception can rant for almost two hours and you still feel it’s better than most Hollywood movies cause you share the same emotions while playing this game.
I understand why they returned to pace. All the little 😺😺😺 started crying" the game is so dead you can't ' run" . EA complied because they need to satisfy them. I just loved in that period how they were passing on the sideline and trying to run whit Vini and didn't worked and you can just feel after his trying that 💩 for three times and didn't worked and they were lost, LOST😂😂😂. Best period of FIFA for me.
@InceptionFC thank you for this, nothing may come from this, but I am glad to hear I am not the only one feeling this way while playing this game. What I will say, when one casually plays FIFA on kickoff with a group of friends it is some of the most fun you can have, but I am likely not going to be putting 100's of hours into a Ultimate Team in the future again.

the thing about being crosseyed is actually facts .. this game messes with your vision when your forced to watch so many things at once just to be able to successfully convert your chances 😢
the step over acceleration mechanic merchants who do it when they have all the space in the world are the ones who drive me the most insane. They are programmed like robots to always use this mechanic, usually before instantly turning backwards and switching it to the left/right back for no purpose at all
Everything said in this video was spot on, the only time I get to enjoy my players full potential is between 1-6am at night and then that’s only 50% of the time
I miss when getting a 5 star skiller on FIFA was a wow moment. Nani, Rafael sobis, elkeson etc.... Getting a four star skiller also felt good. Now there's no value in it, it's just expected. Hate this.
Just played against the same opponent in Fut Champs 4 games in a row…I won 2 of them 3-0 rage quits, and he beat me 3-0 twice rage quits 🤣 One game my gameplay was so fast and responsive, the next game I’m playing in mud. It’s so obvious by EA. It’s not just the servers 💯
